My overall experience with Ultrasabers was excellent. My Apprentice V4 is a great basic saber with excellent customization options. When I had questions about the products, Jason was quick to answer, and gave amazingly detailed, informative responses.
In the end, I am leaving four stars instead of five because technically the product I received was slightly incorrect. I specifically requested the standard guarded switch in red, but I received a plain silver AV switch. Oddly, this seems to be an upgrade from the switch I requested, but I was not charged for the difference. Truth be told, it's a very nice switch - just not technically what I ordered.
Otherwise, I am very pleased with my saber. The brightness and color are superb, the flash-on-clash is a really cool feature, the quality and durability seem great, and I love the Archon pommel with d-ring that I received. My only other criticism is that the motion sensors in the Obsidian Lite sound board seem to be a little fussy, especially compared with the off-the-shelf Hasbro Black Series sabers. The "swoop" sound takes a surprising amount of force to produce, for instance, whereas the clash sound is extremely easy to activate, such that I've done so on numerous occasions when just swinging the saber around. But given that this is my first ever custom saber and I went for the lowest possible tier of sound-board, it's not too big of an issue. Overall, I am extremely satisfied.
I bought my saber as a gift and really didn't know what I was doing but the options provided were helpful (even for a novice) and the recipient loved the gift.
