Twitch

Granted that I haven't been on Twitch in quite a while, but I have to put in my two cents on this platform. They ban Asmongold for speaking his mind about what's going on in the Middle East, but they promote some extremists with one wishing for our brave soldiers of the United States to get PTSD! What kind of twisted logic is that?! Update: After so much backlash, they have finally banned some of the extremists. But, the damage has already been done. Twitch is trash!

It seems Twitch is currently engaged in a "bait & switch" scam. In spite of the fact that I PAID for subscriptions because I was promised an AD-FREE experience for doing so, I continue to be inundated with ads on channels to which I subscribed. Twitch's response to my complaint was your typical scammer "Trust us - we're working on it". I refuse to subscribe to any more channels until Twitch corrects this. Nor will I re-scribe when the current ones expire. I'd rather tip content creators directly in order to support them. (But knowing how greedy Twitch is, it wouldn't surprise me if they remove that option from their platform.)

If you love listening to your content with random interruptions in the middle of crucial moments of your programming then Twitch is the streaming service for you. Nothing like listening to a comedian telling a joke only to have Twitch cut in and air silence as part of their advertising, so you never get to hear the comedian's punchline. Fabulous! Twitch sucks.

The streamers on there are very rude and nasty as well and quick to bully you as well
Yet quick to take your money and they nag you to follow them up
As i would avoid this website all together and go else way as i dont like how they ask for a code or some streamers only have followers only rubbish and $#*! website. Avoid if you can and go on youtube or live. Me or younow if u want to stream much better and they have better mods and younow give free coins like live.me where twitch tv is a con as you have to buy them what a rip off, as it suprice this website still going,

Steal your money then refuse to help through emails! No contact phone number either.
Avoid if possible also never give them access to your bank account/PayPal.

Let's be short and blunt here, save you time and tell you exactly as it is.

Twitch's customer service is complete and utter trash incapable of handling a ticket, doing it at a decent time, and still marking the "unresolved ticket" as "resolved." Even when the ticket exposes simple or obvious and unnecessary bugs on their website, it is just brushed off and marked resolved. They are just persistent and continuous problems ignored by twitch while customer service continues to do absolutely nothing to inform their IT, if they even have that department.

As someone that does find entertainment in watching speedruns, I can definitely say without a doubt that Twitch has a lot to improve upon to make it a nice experience. They need to optimize their code to be less resource-intensive as there are times when the website causes any web browser I use to hang. The delay between what the viewer sees and what the streamer is doing is quite detrimental to the live experience. There are other websites out there that are able to deliver a more live experience.

I got bullied multiple times by streamers and viewers for being disabled and for my race as well. They never stop the bullying and seem to use that to bring in viewers because viewers like bullying.

I used Twitch for a couple of months during lockdown. Things were ok, I noticed some dodgy stuff in 'Just Chatting' but overall it helped me with lockdown boredom and I even tipped some streamers.
Then George Floyd was murdered and the world went nuts. I completely support the protests 100%, but the riots sickened me. And then I saw the riots streamed live on twitch, with TWITCH streamers eating snacks and shouting support for the riots. Meanwhile business's are burned and so on.
Twitch has a disgusting business model and I hope Mixer leaves them in the dust.

This is the dumbest app ever made, somehow my account isnt on their anymore, cant make a new one says i make the account too fast like what kind of app wont let you make an account because you created it too quickly… such a stupid company who just wastes peoples time.

Very bad customer service they just added a new feature to were the people who are getting paid by them get screwed over. If you have a subcribe button or run ads for your own channel they can now buy a feature that makes it not show up on everypage. Basicly what this is coming down to is that people are just ganna turn ad blocker on 24/7 and no one that gets paid to stream will be gaining anything. From what i hear the pay is very low also even if you can pull a number of 800-1800 people u would have to run ads every 1 mins just to make a decent amount. So as far as this site go's it started out great but the new feature is horrible.

I lost $45. Like three month in unvolunteered month i only signup for one month and than charge me $20 for only for one month but i not sub to the channel they took my money and ran with it. 4.99 more like $20 for a sub but i not sub to the channel lease make me a sub to the channel

Payment process is a joke, there is no verification and if you cancel the payment before it went through the payment will just go through and twitch will blame you in doing so. There is no payment verification when signup for the billing agreement with paypal, its just basic professional ethics to have some form of window or check to know if the user has inputed the right amount but twitch doesnt do this... they will happily take your money and blame you...they are just scammers... I absolutely dont recommend this platform...i lost 400 euro just because i enterred the wrong number of subs and yet i hit the cancel button before the payment went through, in my opinion this is a techinical glitch but twitch just brushed it off... there is no live chat or phone number to get proper support, their current online form is a big joke... Plus they take a lot of commissions and streamers barely get any, this is total preying from both viewers and streamers... please dont sign up!
