They never filed my return like they said they would and I had to pay a $500 fine. Turbo tax you suck $#*!!
I've used TurboTax for seven years now and up until about 3 years ago I've been satisfied but up until then funny things started happening one year I even paid extra for Max benefits and it did not a thing I actually ended up not getting a tax return at all that year and TurboTax did nothing about backing me up or keeping me posted like they said they would and then this year my tax return was rejected six times without good enough reason because when I went to another website specifically the IRS website to file for free it went right through TurboTax also advertises that everything is free and in the beginning and it was but now they find some way to charge you for something and still don't do their job it's been too many problems and I was really about to send in a whole tax return through the mail and wait for God knows how long all because TurboTax can't do its job right there's just several things that displeased me at this point with TurboTax I'm very disappointed because for years I have spoke highly of TurboTax but I do not plan on ever using TurboTax again
I was thinking of using TurboTax to file my taxes and went through their steps on the online app. I probably got hit with 5 upsells throughout the process which was pretty disheartening. I accidently paid for a package I didn't want and ended up not using them to file my taxes. Tried to get a refund for the service I didn't use and they hit me with this,

Well I didn't file so this is a complete lie. I'd stay away, horrible company and support. Way overpriced and won't honor a refund when I accidently purchased and didn't even use the service.
I recently used TurboTax to file my taxes and had a terrible experience. Not only did my return get rejected by the IRS, but I also had to spend countless hours on the phone with their customer service representatives, who were unhelpful and unresponsive.
I initially called TurboTax to ask a quick question and was not looking for the Live assisted services. Unfortunately, the phone call took longer than expected, and I was directed to use the Live assisted option when I was checking out. At that time, I was not aware that Live is a non-refundable product.
When my return was rejected by the IRS, I contacted TurboTax to try and fix the issue but was unsuccessful. As a result, I had to go to an accountant and pay them to file my taxes. I have already filed with them and do not see the need to use TurboTax's services in the future.
Despite explaining my situation and requesting a refund, TurboTax denied my refund request twice. Their customer service representatives were unhelpful and unresponsive, and my issue was thrown from one representative to the other, leaving me extremely frustrated and disappointed with the lack of resolution.
To me, it looks like a scam where TurboTax is taking my money without providing any value in return. I was not aware that Live is a non-refundable product, and I believe that I should be entitled to a refund given the circumstances.
I would strongly advise against using TurboTax for your tax filing needs. Their customer service is terrible, their Live assisted product is a scam, and their refusal to provide refunds is unacceptable. Save yourself the time, frustration, and money and use a different tax filing service.

After, spending my time explaining to the customer service on the phone about My Situation and Requesting to speak to a Manager, being Hung UP On is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. It's INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING to DEAL with SUCH DISRESPECT, ESPECIALLY when you're already facing Financial Hardship!. It SEEMS LIKE the COMPANY'S LACK of EMPATHY and PROFESSIONALISM has only added to your Burdens. I spent the time and enter carefully and correct all the information and only being stuck just before submitting my taxes by the payment page! And of course you have to claim medical expenses, especially considering VERY EXPENSIVE cost of Dental Care

I used Turbo Tax in 2020 to file an estate return for an aunt who passed away in late 2019. Easy, fast, efficient. Unfortunately the estate is still in probate and I feared that i would have to file again, money pit.
I put in a call to Turbo Tax on line to speak to someone personally, I was told the wait time, not long, 20 minutes. Within 15 minutes I was on the phone with Robert. He told special care to search all the federal and state tax laws and then assured me that I do not have to file any further taxes for the estate. Big relief. Robert, you are the best. This was on Monday, March 1,2021.
Well, I was charged almost $300 for a simple return. My expert was no expert at all. He stuttered and stumbled over his words anything that I needed help with this far as paperwork from last year paperwork for my 1099 any of those my so-called expert is not even able to access those and that's through the site, he made my simple return very complicated. It took me three days of back-and-forth to get it filed for almost $300 again I remind you and do you know that TurboTax is under class action lawsuit so my prediction of them being put out of business here real soon came about a lot quicker than I thought it was going to and people don't realize the fact that they have third and fourth parties within their establishment means that for all of those people involved all those people are only involved to get money out of our pockets, and TurboTax gladly gives it, heck just a file for yourself on TurboTax. It's almost $100 I mean that right there the IRS should be getting them for that. I'm sure eventually they will but for all of us that got ripped off I bet we don't get our money back. I spoke with supposedly a manager that was all apologies after I made a horrible survey on then and only then and they could've been kind enough to tell me that this expert is absolutely no expert he's probably sitting on his back porch smoking a joint could care less about you or your taxes otherwise they would have suggested that I go directly to my nearest local office run by any tax service in Spending far far less than what I and I like, how when you open the app and it gives you your initial fee, and then not until the very end after this punk has already put your taxes through then you find out how much you paid that right there, and itself is a rip off and it's deceptive and they know it and they're happy to do it

DON: T PURCHASE INTUIT Turbo Tax!
I purchased turbo tax to help me with my tax preparation. Actually may tax prep. Is very straight forward, I just did not want to have to read through the numerous IRS documents required to file a simple tax return. Intuit support is non-existent. All you get is a bunch of FAQs and some video that don't solve my prob. Tried to E-File, failed Turbo Tax says my AGI from last year does not match my entry, WRONG! I even went as far as to obtain a transcript from the IRS to confirm my entry in Turbo Tax was correct, yep it is correct but Turbo Tax will not let me E-File cause it says my AGI is wrong! So I tried to contact Intuit: phone (no good just recordings), chat - well they gave me an incident # and a phone number I called it and some guy tells me my AGI must be wrong, I explain how I know my AGI is correct. Then this guy wants to remote access my Turbo Tax i. E. look at every thing I have entered in my tax filing including my social security #. I tell him, I am computer literate and I don't want some stranger looking at my tax forms, he then says "then you go fix" it and he hangs up! Well not only have I paid for the Turbo Tax but I also paid an extra fee for State E-filing. Can't get a refund from Turbo Tax so I guess I will have to call my CC and have them dispute the charge!

What a mistake it was!
I thought I would get a very professional service because Intuit (the company that owns TurboTax) is a good company, but NO!
The most unprofessional people, they couldn't do my taxes in time, they didn't know how to do specific things related to my business in the tax return, their customer service is the worst, and you can't trust them (which is the worst thing), I just got a letter from the IRS to pay an additional $1000!
I have my own business so my tax return is both personal and business which is why CPAs usually charge more. TurboTax charged about $300 less BUT I had to do most of the work myself, and they didn't set things right so now I need to pay $1000 more after I paid already and I didn't get the refund they calculated I should get, everything took too long, and I had to ask for an extension for the first time ever just because the "professional" took her time.
They can't guarantee anything, I had to call them about 4 times and they just told me "we can't do anything".
Don't do the mistake I did. Go to a real pro, DO NOT USE TURBOTAX
It has been almost 28 days and I have ABSOLUTELY NO idea when my return will be in. This WILL be my ABSOLUTE LAST time using TurboTax. I e-filed with them and they promised me that my taxes would be here in about 21 days and everytime I go on the app to see the status its still in the SAME SPOT! I try to get help and answers from them but they NEVER have an direct answer for me! NOT TO MENTION last year when I filed with them I NEVER received my STATE TAXES from last year! When I finally got ahold to some one their attitude was horrible and they said that they would get back with me and they NEVER DID! I was very hesitant on using them again this year but I decided to give them another chance, that was the WORST MISTAKE of my life that I will never make again! The IRS are saying that they have no information on my return and I have to wait but my return was excepted on the next day of filing. IM SOO OVER IT WITH THEM!
