I've built a few guitar amps in my time. I have a new idea that I was hoping to get some basic, professional feedback about, maybe a suggestion or two.
What I got was about 11 paragraphs of highly detailed suggestions with explanations of what to expect from this or that engineering concept. Some I am very familiar with. Others were input that I hadn't thought of, but find very interesting.
Their information was on-point to what I was asking about. Not just some canned, ready reply. And it was presented in the most professional format I've seen from any customer service feedback. Not exaggerating.
I've done little bits of business with TubeDepot over the years. They are always my go-to when I need guitar amp stuff.
And this expert engineering advice email reply just puts them far above what I expected, and more than even that compared to other experiences elsewhere.
If I sound like I'm fawning, sorry. But this experience really was this impressive.

Tube Depot, I've been working with them for years and they never let me down Fantastic support and service from there staff who know what they are doing when it comes down to tubes and any related electrical stuff. My only criticism is that they don't have tee shirts in 3x-4x.Big guys would like to raise the flag for the Tube Depot brand.J-J Tubes were of great condition and quality,no problem with them at all.So thank you Tube Depot everything was great, thanks.

I didn't know much about tubes, but Michelle helped me to get what I needed. It is a new world the tubes I got for my McIntosh C2600. It sounds awesome.
The JCM45+ kit itself is fine so far and quality cabinet work also. Michelle is on fire with her customer support! Very helpful and knowledgeable i did get some wrong tube sockets and she replaced them and all the wire involved s I had tried to go ahead and use them but decided to do it right. No questions asked! I was straightening the wire leads on a small diode today and no paying attention it got into the cutters on my needle nose and "chop" oops! She took care of that goof in short order!

What I was dealing with from another company was one to two days of waiting before I got an answer to any questions! Jack I guess from sales gets back right away! I have high hopes the tech people have the same!

You order an expensive tube - very expensive, one of the few rare ones they have - and they delay shipping, takes 3x what it should, you ask why, they make up excuses, then you unbox and turns out they sent you something far less valuable. They show out of stock for the item you bought.
Seems to me someone either heisted the last high-demand item to sell for several times more than they had it listed for, or they didn't have it and threw something else in there making it someone else's problem.
The proper thing to do is tell the customer to keep the improper product AND refund their money - to keep their future business. Make it worth their while. Not these guys - sent me a prepaid label to ship it back. So let me get this straight - aside from the irritation of waiting far too long for a highly coveted tube I waited months to waste that kind of money on, now it's on me to go out of my way to package it back up and send it back and wait then hope you refund my cash?
How about at the VERY least you refund the (considerable) difference in price between the thing I have no use for and what I purchased?
"Sorry, here's a label to ship it back for a refund." That's all I got. Nothing more.
EDIT: After posting this review, they did offer to refund the price difference - but then of course asked me to remove this review. I will speak the truth - they refunded the difference. I shouldn't have had to make it inconvenient for them to get to that point. Priorities are completely out of whack - future business and damage control instead of making the customer happy.

In your review you mention that we didn't offer to refund the difference of the incorrect tube. The reason that option wasn't offered is because in your communication you mentioned: "I didn't want and wouldn't buy (I had a chance at this tube for $90 months ago, and passed - it's not on my list of interests)...?"- With that information, a refund is the only option. Otherwise we would have offered a refund for the difference in exchange for the tube. We are paying for the return shipping and will refund the order entirely. If a difference in the price is an option for you, we offer a refund of 50.00, the difference between the two tubes and you will not need to return it. The tube you received, while not as valuable as the Kenrad, is still valuable. Mistakes do occur in any business from time to time, and our goal is to resolve them as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding and willingness to work with us.
Ordered a set of jj 6v6s i think this should be quick and easy. They didn't ship the tubes till 4 days after the purchase and when I finally received my order they were not even jj tubes. Im beyond pissed off. I get it all the tubes are made in pretty much one factory but if u have the tubes listed with jj on them I expect to receive tubes labled with JJ on them! I have never received genuine JJ tubes not labled since I started building amps 10yrs ago!

USPS is experiencing significant delays, which we have posted in multiple places on our site to advise customers of the delay and recommend upgrading shipping carrier at checkout. The "labeled" JJ tubes were out of stock during the time you placed your order. These are actually an upgrade, as they are JJ tubes but they have been cryogenically treated. I called asking for help selecting three NOS 12AX7's for use in a Mac 275. I believe I spoke with Michelle who helped me trim my options down to one specific tube, which happened to be one I was already considering. Her advice helped me feel confident about about my selection and I plan on ordering right away. I believe it was Michelle who had helped with a previous order which also went like clockwork.

Had dealings with TubeDepot recently and was very impressed with their customer service. Answered all email queries promptly and offered options of which i was unaware. Tracking option kept me well informed of delivery status. Purchase was delivered from Memphis to country Victoria, Australia in six days. All in all a very positive experience and i would highly recommend tubedepot to anyone. Sorry cannot add photo but happy to supply order number.

Vacuum tubes can be tricky to deal with when it comes to achieving the desired tone and operation in a guitar amplifier. These tubes should be the taming and providing the "creme" in my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and Monoprice 15 watt combo. Cutting 20% in my pre-amp stage will warm my heart and soul for sure.
Sent me a dud (was not checked) which was so badly microphonic it nearly blew a speaker. Ordered in december, had them in january, sent back the dud one & 2 months later I am still waiting for a replacement!
Great customer service. I have to return some JJ tubes, no damages, just need other good fit for my pre-amp. Jack responded quickly. Awesome people.

Ordered the wrong tubes by mistake. Order shipped about 20 min after I placed the order. I panicked and assumed I would not be able to return the tubes ($739). I was wrong as Michelle answered the phone after the first ring. Michelle was not able to stop the item from shipping but said just return the item for a full refund. She was helpful, polite and very knowledgable. Now I am off to order my correct set of tubes from TubeDepot. Great company!
