Everything went smoothly... Furniture was picked up and arrived at the destination a few weeks earlier than expected!... All pieces were wrapped and in great condition... Would definitely use Transit Systems again!
Family heirloom secretary desk being shipped to Idaho from Texas! So far, so good. Got it arranged with only one call back required. Reassured that they "ship old Secretaries like this all the time." Let'er rip!
We shipped a mattress and couple of box springs from CA to TX that came in absolutely destroyed. The cardboard boxes were peeled off, the box springs had the metal frames bent to pieces and stabbing through the fabric. With all the positive feedback online we felt like our case had to be an exception. I reached out to customer service about filing insurance claim ($0.10 per lb so no money at all but still) and we discussed the condition of the packages. Jessica was my representative and she made everything better in one email. She assured me this was not acceptable or standard and sent us a gift card without hesitation or request. Solid customer service and empathy fixed a poor experience immediately. Would use TSI again with no worries. Thanks again to Jessica for the professionalism and save.
Furniture item was wrapped in a shipping blanket and moving shrink wrap. Delivered without either and grease marks on the surface. Deliverers said that's how they picked it up at the warehouse. I took extra care. TSI didn't.
My sales person Tom Tract was very personable and informative. I liked his straightforward explanation of information needed, but at the same time very friendly, which is so important when it comes to customer service.
Sincerely,
Karen Krohn
Communication in moving antique furniture from one state to another can be a tedious process. Transit systems made us feel very comfortable and that we chose the right company. Knowledgeable and courteous staff made it easy!
Great service. Follow-up emails appreciated. Phone call response and availability of personnel was quick. Rates were less than anyone else I called. Easy to work with and accommodating when scheduling pick-up. Glad I found them on the internet!
Haven't rec'd my quote yet, but the excellent reviews and very easy to use website enticed me to inquire right at the beginning of my research. I'm a first time shipper. They sound almost too good to be true. We shall see.
Shipping went well. Pricing was fair. Had issue with a delivery driver refusing help to unload. Then was billed an additional $75 weeks later because the driver checked a box, after we signed, and I was charged for lift gate use.
I cancelled my shipment with Transit systems due to the length of time the pickup of my item would take. I paid 1090 dollars for so-called white glove service, and feel that a pickup time of up to 15 business days is unacceptable considering how much extra this service cost me. Also, why do you charge the full cost at time of contract, rather than at time of pickup? These were the two main reasons for my cancellation, but I might add that Phillip was very helpful and polite during my telephone conversations with him, even when I cancelled.
I sent two different shipments. The one sent to Rochester NY had a broken table leg. I know that leg had previously been repaired, but it was strong and functional when it left my home in Larkspur CA.
Otherwise, both shipments were well handled on my end at departure.
My experience was good other than the picking up of the mattress. I was told it would happen one day and then it ended up happening at the very last minute the next. It was really tight for time and made me nervous. They could do a better job of scheduling the pick ups more precisely instead of it just being an all day waiting game. Also having a phone number of the actual pick up driver would have been helpful.
Pick up was 3 months after I paid. Drop off late. NOT packed well. Damage occurred on one of the brass parts of the 1900 circa Grandfather clock. Will NEVER use this company again and will tell everyone I know of the shoddy work.
I got a response from my web query almost before I made the actual phone call. I am happy with the information and rates provided. I hope I will feel this way when our family heirloom is finally here with me.
Thank you,
Susan
I have one big concern and that is coordinating the delivery with the receiver's requested time period.
I had requested first of day and was given 10:30 to 2:30 window which meant I had to take a day off from work.
THe delivery actually took no more than 20 minutes and the 2 men were terrific.
I think you should do better in accommodating the customer's schedule.
I appreciated TSI's communication and explanations while I was shopping around for shipping companies. I also appreciated how they worked to get me set up with claims for some damaged furniture despite that fact that I called a day past the reporting time frame and didn't note the damage upon delivery. As for price, they were about the same as the other companies I looked at. I would recommend them in the future.
I felt mislead by the information provided about shipping cost and product weight. Even though I indicated that a shuttle would be necessary during our first conversation, there was no mention of cost until the final payment request. I was left feeling the transaction was shady in the end.
Requisite information, such as clock prepatation required to be done separately from Transit Systems, was not forthcoming on website or in initial contractual discussions. This added a lot of stress to the experience.
They are not responsible enough to care about a $500 bike. We sold our home in AZ furnished. We only shipped 9 boxes/totes, two sets of golf clubs and my bike. The reason we went with TSI vs UPS or Fed Ex was the bike. First problem was we hired and paid them about 1200. 00 on Oct 2. We were told a 14 day pickup window. Had to call and beg for a pickup 15 days later because we sold our home and needed to be out soon. TSI hired some outfit out of Torrance CA to pick up our shipment. Two people with a U Haul picked up our stuff. Drove it from Phoenix to Torrance. (final destination Wisconsin). It sat it Torrance for weeks. This is where someone helped themselves to my bike. (Sun Streamway). Anyway, from start to finish it took 58 days. Communication was awful. No apology for my bike going missing. TSI provided NO compensation. None. Beware!
I reached out to get a quote for packing & shipping a 40lb piece of art from Murrell Inlet, SC to Fort Worth, TX with dimensions approximately 3.5 feet by 2.5 feet.
I already received a quote for $400. When I received the quote from TSI, I almost had a heart attack. These clowns--specifically Carol T--quoted $1216 and said I better order ASAP to get on schedule.
Incredulous, I responded back. Unsurprisingly, Carol T stuck her tail between her legs and didn't even reply. In fact, she didn't even read--or has trouble reading--the actual request because her response says they'll arrive to pack the furniture items. No furniture here. Just one piece of heavy art.
GOOD LUCK GETTING A QUOTE FROM TSI. I'll never request one from them again--I ship art weekly--unless I start enjoying getting bent over. Of course, it doesn't take long from a Google search to realize this is normal practice for these frauds who only want to take advantage of you.
Answer: I don't think so. TSI offered the best quote out of 5 other companies
Answer: From what I can tell, a scam. They charged me $2000; confirmed a pickup date, and didnt show up. Since then they've been dodging calls and emails.
Answer: I got a quote from Kathy which was very responsive and professional
