I submitted a negative review against Avvo.com, which is notorious for deleting bad lawyer reviews. The same thing happened when Trustpilot censured my negative review against Avvo. Apparently, people who truly have bad experiences with companies are silenced and robbed of their right to free speech. I contacted Trustpilot and only the sales dept answers. In order to dispute a review being removed, you have to email (not talk to a rep) them and ask them to reconsider. They removed my review because of guidelines, which is exactly why Avvo removed my review against the attorney. Trustpilot has 2 rules: business first, consumer last.

These guys make the mafia's extortion racket look like a Girl Scout bake sale. They refuse to post a positive review unless my company agrees to pay them. Meanwhile, negative reviews are promoted and leveraged against the business to charge them more each year.
Yes, we'll continue to pay so they stop sending goons to break our windows.
I do not like this Website.
I wanted to leave review for lovely software and their agents but Trustpilot first applied my review and than deleted it thinking I'm not a real human!
Not satisfied at all. I'd better use Sitejabber from now.
Trustpilot has become a dishonest platform, it has most negative reviews deleted and it is very complicated to restore the review afterwards even by sending all the proof of legitimacy. Shame on Trustpilot
Trustpilot doesn't come remotely close to being an impartial review site. Instead, it is just a mechanism for companies to pad and wash their corporate reputations. Trustpilot's paying client is the company receiving the reviews, not the consumer leaving the review. Companies litter the site with fake reviews while Trustpilot looks the other way. For example, positive reviews are often posted within minutes of each other, using a very similar writing style and similar content. Trustpilot has no financial incentive to crack down on its paying clients. When a consumer writes a review that is in any way critical of a paying client, Trustpilot pulls the review, claiming it violated one of their community standards. Trustpilot never shows which community standard the review supposedly violated. After all, what did you expect when the paying customer is the company being reviewed? I think the FTC will eventually catch up with Trustpilot, but it could take years.
Deleted most of my reviews, no matter how many stars you`ll choose, most of your reviews will be deleted. After that, they sending a mail, which says "Reply to us, if it`s some kind of misunderstanding " and never reply to you.
This guy`s is the worst!
Strange that I wrote 2 reviews in one day - both were balanced an an honest review of my experiences with two different companies, one positive, one less so. Strangely the less flattering one about a chaotic service which I believe potential customers really need to be aware of was never published - amazing that I had praise for the positive one the day after! Researchers into services beware - not all is as it is presented
I am a business owner for 5 years. There are two companies who started in our field like one month ago... both used trustpilot as GOOGLE indexes their STAR rating... both these companies have over 5000 reviews in matter of month... I am like *******% sure these are all fake machine generated reviews. I can easily see the content... there should be somewhere that we could report these guys
TrustPilot deletes a lot of negative reviews. They claim this is because they believe competitors often pay for negative reviews of competing companies.
What they fail to mention is that just as many positive reviews are being paid for by the companies trying to make themselves look better.
Case in point. I have seen many reviews for companies that are absolute TRASH. These companies have been known to scam people. And, are notorious for their atrocious customer service. Yet they have a list of 5-star reviews.?
I would not put too much stock in whatever you find on Trust Pilot.
Often, I've had experiences where I left a 1-star review for a certain company, and Trustpilot would take it down because the company I left a bad review for asked them to do so. What's the point of leaving a 1-star review if any company can just come to them and say it's not legit, and they'll take it down? I'd say look for alternatives; you won't get a real picture of companies if their reviews can be rigged as they please.
Thanks.
"Trust"pilot is the most dishonest review site of all. Even if you provide proof of dealing and get verified, they will STILL remove review if company pays them to do so. I've had dealings with the most criminal and corrupt "lettings agency" in London. "Trust"pilot is dangerous as its not giving other potential victims the true picture (which is extremely well reflected on all other review sites, but "Trust"pilot supports lies and dishonesty.
Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful. Trustpilot allow fake reviews and they remove honest reviews from me. They also locked my first account so the truth does not get known but too late for that as the entire world in this galaxy is fully aware of the incompetent $#*!ed imbeciles like trustpilot who are nothing but irrelevant jealous hypocrites. Have you no shame?
They use fake names and hide. Do not trust trustpilot or do not use them. They are disgusting liars."
Trustpilot was a Danish site in the beginning. It worked as it should. They published reviews. Over the years Trustpilot started deleting review due to business complains. Now the are terrible deleting profiles. They just call it spam when the content do not fit. Trustpilot isn't any longer what it was, why the rhetoric "trust" just don't apply anymore. 1 star for a scam buisness in my opinion. Complain trustpilot, you just got a mild version of my opinion of you.
TP is censoring critical reviews, but only from their business customers! A company with a paid account can ask for personal details and if you do not want to give them, the review will be removed. Trustpilot is therefore not independent and therefore not so reliable!
Trust pilot has now started censoring reviews abusing their terms and conditions making up rules as they going along covering up crimes of other organizations expressed on their website review page. Do not use their platform as they are but to be trusted. They are abusing their peoples rights.
Have had a series of reviews removed for 'fake transaction' even as the business representative confirmed on Trustpilot the transaction is legitimate by the order #. Appeals to the review removal dept are ignored.
It's pretty obvious the site is allowing businesses to remove negative reviews by paying.
It also provides fake positive reviews... for a fee. Note all the short one liner single reviewers with generic praises.
Tells you everything you need to know.
Beware of horrible sales practices. We received nothing but 5-star reviews, yet their system shows a 4.1-star average. Feels like some kind of tactic to get us to call them to fix it, only to be sold on a falsely advertised "monthly" (billed quarterly) plan with a 12-month contract. No mention of 12-month contract other than buried deep in the FAQ towards the bottom of the page. Even the salesperson didn't know where to find the mention of the 12-month contract!
They are not genuine. They use fake reviews & selective reviews to provide an endorsement of a company or product. Some of the most blatantly dishonest firms in the UK have dropped more honest reviewers because they were too honest. Lo & behold Trustpilot come along & the crooks get a 5 star rating. Buy a used car from a firm with a great Trustpilot review & you are probably wasting money. Review sites should be independent.
I had a bad experience with one company and told them I would be reviewing them on Trustpilot. They said "we'll see about that".
Not only did my review not see the light of day, my account was Closed Down within a week and I have been unable to reboot it. Looks very fixed to me.
Numerous times this website has removed verified reviews in the service of large companies requests. What is the purpose of a review website that washes bad behavior. Do not look there for accurate reviews. You have to scroll down the google pages as they have paid for multiple websites that clog the first search page. PATHETIC
Answer: Simple it is their website so they remove reviews that are negative just like how they let complains report negative reviews on their website. Trustpilot is not a good website the company allows companys to report reviews and since the companys pay them many reviews are taken off and removed..
Trustpilot has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,105 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Trustpilot most frequently mention customer service, bad experience and integrity team. Trustpilot ranks 128th among Internet Safety sites.
