If you try and leave a negative review for one of the companies that pays Trustpilot, it very much appears to me that their content integrity team are very much more likely take it down as not genuine. Whilst Trustpilot say they are confident they have made the right decision, they don't, I have left innocuous but negative reviews, and provided dates etc. It is more likely that Trustpilot are confident they have made the financially lucrative decision rather then the right decision. Don't trust Trustpilot, I think their review scores can be bought. I have noticed this for a couple of companies.
I booked a trip with Expedia 2 weeks ago to stay at this resort in USA. Due to a sudden and unexpected personal crisis I had to plead for a refund. Even though I explained everything they flat out REFUSED.
No compassion, it's all about money and gain.
I really am disgusted especially as money is tight. I urge citizens of U.K. Don't stay there because they don't care about customers. They have my money and I can't pay my bills!
I created a Trustpilot to leave a review for Air-Up, a company that sells water bottles. It was a positive review and I included my order number (as instructed) to prove that as a reviewer, I had indeed made a genuine purchase. Less than 24 hours later my review was removed & my account banned, citing their software detected unusual activity & flagged my review as spam. Had one single human being checked to verify, they would have clearly saw the software was wrong.
The email said I could reply back if I feel like there's been a mistake, to which I did multiple times and never received any response.
TLDR: TrustPilot suspends accounts for no good reason & fail to respond to email despite encouraging you to email them if there's a problem. Also upon reading other reviews it would seem I'm not the only one having issues with them.
So far I only used Trustpilot twice to provide reviews, my first review was positive and had no feedback from the site. However, my second review was negative about my pet insurance company after they refused to pay out, even though I legally claimed for vet fees and their customer services were just horrendous. A few days later I published my negative review on Trustpilot, the site claimed its a "fake review" and it looks like "I have 2 profiles so they removed my review".
I verified my review with them and responded to their Compliance Team`s emails, still they did not restore my review and did not respond to my communication. I deleted my account with Trustpilot, no point to use this biased website, claiming to share genuine reviews of user experience if companies can get your negative reviews removed.
I have never heard of Trust Pilot until I tried to do a review of my negative experience on Trust Pilot. They took down my negative review when the company disputed it. I don't know if they receive fees from these companies or if they hold any personal interest but they are not impartial like Google.
Wrote a review about knifeworks.com took it down because apparently, my being honest about a company's inability to fulfill promise to their customers, is "illegal". Just more commie liberals who refuse any kind of talk when regarding a topic/business/belief/or values they themselves refuse to acknowledge. Woke culture is a joke, and it's proved by trustpilot disabling comments about THEY THEMSELVES. Funny.
I noted one company who's linked to Trustpilot had quite a few negative reviews then strangely there was an avalanche of positive reviews. I think the reviews are a sham. Companies pay Trustpilot and they expect to be looked after like keeping your rating high.
After writing a carefully considered and accurate review of a company trust pilot bounced it back saying that I had to provide evidence or they would not be publishing my review, that's all well and good except evidence in 90% of these matters is not going to be obtainable and the purpose of a review is opinion backed by example, evidence is for a court of law not some two bit worthless greedy unfair review website which is all that trust pilot have proved to be! Utterly useless, don't waste your time on them.
By Turing off reviews, trustpilot has shown itself they cannot be trusted for honest reviews. Seems they will pick and choose what gets posted, and if they can limit bad exposure for a companies bad decisions, then it shows they're biased, and paid by that company to skew the results. Their credibility has been shattered.
TrustPilot is such a scam. Fake reviews, fake reviews, fake reviews. First off, it's interesting how easy it is to have reviews removed as long as you are a paying customer of TrustPilot. (past experience). Once you stop paying them $700+ per month, reviews start coming in and they are always 1 star. You try to reach out to the reviewers, they never response, then a few days later, someone from TrustPilot's sale group send you an email just checking in. Wanting you to join back up to help with the reviews. Seriously, that's bad. TrustPilot can not be trusted at all, Google should ban them. There's enough negative reviews out there on TrustPilot that they should be de-listed from Google's index.
Trustpilot isn't trustworthy for consumers, it's for companies to buy Trustpilot plans in order to control their reviews. EDreams is not a company it's a scam but after writing my review to warn others about their scam, Trustpilot sent me an email representing eDreams questioning the validity of my review. Now I know: Trustpilot is no different than Yelp (who also solicits business to pay to remove bad reviews and stop hiding good ones.)
I recently alerted Trustpilot's Content Integrity to a company entry which was getting reviews meant for another company because of similarity of names. They were unwilling or unable to put a warning on the page in question which is what was needed and have now refused to engage with me. I did not ask for the page or any reviews to be taken down though their replies suggested I was trying to do that. I am unconnected with either of the companies but feel that one company was getting bad reviews which were obviously meant for another company By refusing to at least put a warning marker on the page of the company that is being wronged I feel they have allowed their integrity to be damaged.
I left a genuine review for an Energy company and within minutes my review was removed. I'm also unable to log back into my account. I can prove I was a customer of the energy company.
I read the reviews on here from people who experienced the same thing and I'm not really surprised. It makes total sense that Trustpilot and businesses would be in cahoots.
The energy company's attempts to silence me have backfired. I will post the review on a few sites and forums. As for Trustpilot, I will never trust or use them again. My intuition will have to do.
Have just recieved a email from Trustpilot saying they've suspended/blocked my account for no reason and removed over 70 reviews ive done over the years. They tried saying something about spam which I've never done. Shocking. Looking like trustpilot my have investments with companies if this has happened
I posted an honest review of my negative experience with a particular website and trustpilot pulled it over and over again. Each time it would take a couple weeks to resubmit it with the change and then they would immediately pull it again with another reason. After 3 months my review still hasn't been posted and I've rewritten almost the entire thing. It's interesting that their advertising is geared toward the businesses and not the reviewers. It's not hard to see who they are getting paid from.
Trustpilot do not play on a level playing field and trust pilot remove genuine reviews left by its subscribers if the company you are leaving a negative review for are on the pay roll don't bother writing a review it will be removed. Untrustpilot is the new name
Although I have had several reviews with replies from reviewed companies on how to solve issues, Trustpilot decided to threaten me to take down my latest review. That one too had a reply from the company.
I have just opened the business and wanted make a page on trustpilot for checking impressions about my stuff.
After it was created - page was filled by reviews made by bots with low ratings. I even didn't have so much customers. And their "manager" made an offer to "handle" bad reviews.
What a scam
They don't accept genuine reviews, even after providing proof. They just look for another excuse to get rid of the reviews they don't like. I can see why everybody else is so "happy" with this service.
Tried writing a negative review for British Gas and they removed it. So I sent in documentary evidence but the review remained removed. Useless site biased against the customers who take time to review there only to have it removed. This is a scam web site for companies who only want positive reviews! Don't waste your time on them to do anything honest either probably make money from the very companies themselves
Answer: Simple it is their website so they remove reviews that are negative just like how they let complains report negative reviews on their website. Trustpilot is not a good website the company allows companys to report reviews and since the companys pay them many reviews are taken off and removed..
Trustpilot has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,105 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Trustpilot most frequently mention customer service, bad experience and integrity team. Trustpilot ranks 128th among Internet Safety sites.
