I like reading the reviews on Trustpilot, it sort of helps get a fuller picture of the company I'm considering buying from. However, there's always a good chance that someone's just trolling, or posting fake reviews. Also, I tried to register a few times, and it seems the site is down for that sort of thing last few days.
...until I had an experience with an actual scam website - MBenzGram.com. Trustpilot picked up on them posting a bunch of fake reviews, where they have a 2.2 star average and a warning label. On SiteJabber, the scam website has 4.35 stars and tons and tons of fake reviews that there seems to be no way to report or have taken down. Now I realize that TrustPilot is better.
So many fake firms here advertising to be the real ones.Eyeqsecurity org saved me from going bankrupt after I invested so much into a company that was placed high up here by helping me recover my money. I lost faith in most of what I see here
Trustpilot is a great website where people can share their experiences and opinions about businesses. It's easy to use and has a fair review system. Trustpilot verifies all reviews to make sure they're real and unbiased. The platform also allows businesses to respond to reviews and engage with customers directly. Trustpilot is a valuable tool for anyone looking for reliable information about products and services.
One of the best review network in the world that can be trusted. Very helpful and easy to understand
Good site for reviews, but too much spam.
In general, you can form your impression based on the reviews, but it's difficult to do so.
I have used Trustpilot before but lately they seem to flag every one of my genuine reviews. They even deleted a review recently I had written years ago. How can a review from years ago suddenly be problematic now? With at least one company, I have seen some positive reviews on Trustpilot that look suspicious to me. It feels that it has started to become a website where dishonest organisations are able to make themselves look good. I hope I am wrong.
Cannot be trusted. The amount of 5 star reviews which are either fake or have been left due to the offer of an incentive is laughable
Leave a bad review for a company that pays extra however and it'll get taken offline. Trustpilot say they don't delete bad reviews, they just take it offline which is just the same but sounds better.
I would say most of the bad reviews are truthful and the 5 stars very suspicious. That's not how it should be
Trustpilot are committed to collecting funds over real reviews. They encourage negative reviews to get companies to pay for their positive review process.
It's an industry that is very manipulated and needs to be regulated.
I had a genuinely bad experience with GG Poker and put an honest review in but Trustpilot took it down because they were scared of upsetting a corporation known for bully oy tactics. Shame on you Trustpilot.
''As part of our efforts to ensure that all Trustpilot reviews are genuine, we have customized software that detects unusual activity on our platform. In this case, our software has flagged that at least one of your reviews is likely to be spam. We take this very seriously, and have therefore blocked your user account and removed your reviews from our platform.'' And then I did notice a lot of fake reviews and/or scams. Fairly obvious on some pages that the 5 star reviews are made up. As a whole, it makes their website fake.
I had to post a very negative review about wholesale2b. I was honest and thus had my review removed by trustpilot claiming I made racial discriminatory remarks. One of the many complaints I had with wholesale2b is how they out source there work to India. Which is why wait times take 12-24 hours. For that I was flagged apparently. My argument was that in the business world everyone knows time is money. And should a problem arise with an order or customer and you have to wait 12-24 hours for a response you could lose that customer or get bad reviews. And yet trustpilot removed my review! I also read on many forums how trustpilot will remove negative posts made on companies which I firmly believe. Because for every negative review on wholesale2b there is two to three positive reviews there after with next to no good information. Only words such as " it's a great company good experience". Weak reviews! Trustpilot is not reliable. Its a scam website that works against honest reviews that take time to formulate a true experience.
Subject: Issue with Posting Genuine Feedback on Flippa.com
Dear Trustpilot Support Team,
I trust this message finds you well.
I've encountered challenges while attempting to post my genuine feedback for Flippa.com on Trustpilot, along with supporting evidence. Unfortunately, Trustpilot has consistently blocked my feedback, citing various reasons each time.
I understand the importance of maintaining platform integrity, but this recurring issue has raised concerns about the credibility of Trustpilot. It appears that there might be external pressures impacting the transparency of feedback, leading to skepticism about the reliability of Trustpilot reviews.
Upon further investigation, I've noticed a decline in Trustpilot scores on various review websites, indicating a broader trend. This has prompted me to question the trustworthiness of Trustpilot's review system.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a resolution that ensures an unbiased and transparent platform for users to share their genuine experiences.
Thank you for your understanding and assistance.
Best regards,
Chetan
Here are some reasons why you cannot trust Trustpilot:. Loss of Genuine Reviews:
Trustpilot reviews do not reflect the truth as Hundreds if not thousands of genuine reviews are inadvertently removed by Trustpilot without any investigation. Many reviewers may not even be aware that their legitimate feedback has been deleted, or they might not bother to go through the cumbersome process of attempting to reinstate their reviews. Eg. See the attached photo of a genuine review removed by Trustpilot and never reinstated despite submitting evidence of dealing with company incl Policy Number: WS*******!. Lack of Accountability:
Despite Trustpilot's claims of reviewing decisions within two days, there have been cases where reviewers have experienced prolonged delays without any resolution. Lack of Transparency and Censorship:
A particularly alarming aspect of Trustpilot's policies is their refusal to allow negative reviews specifically about their own platform. By removing critical reviews of Trustpilot itself, the company displays a lack of transparency (see attached screenshot of a review about them removed to hide their own rating!. Exploring Alternative Platforms:
There are reliable reviews platforms you can use in particular Google Reviews & SiteJabber.com which reflect reality as they are not removed like Trustpilot genuine reviews.
You go to the trouble of writing an honest review on a company, And Trustpilot don't like it, And remove your review.
So what is the point of using Trustpilot. There is'nt.
Trustpilot don't respect freedom of speech. Or your personal opinion... I've written 2 honest reviews on a certain dating site, And they've removed both... Kinda makes you think that some companies are paying them to remove certain negative but honest reviews...
You know it's a terrible site when they have their own page full of fake 5 star reviews all saying how superb Trustpilot is. 208,000 rate it great apparently. Yeah sure. Isn't that a conflict of interest them having their own page on there anyway?
They removed 1 of my review as it was critical and they told me their software had picked up it was suspicious and therefore removed it but allowedmy other 2 reviews to stay up, surely you should keep all up or none? You can't pick and choose. They do as they like
Indirectly helping scammer company
For removing negative review about those company even if they provide them documents emails and photos
They don't reply do you complain at all so don't waste your time right negative review for anything on trustpilot
I tried to write a critical review of SurveyJunkie, which currently sits at 4.5 stars on Trustpilot. Normally, my review would be live within minutes. But, this time, Trustpilot dragged its feet and wouldn't allow the one-star rating of Survey Junkie on its website. I didn't violate any of its guidelines. It's obvious that Trustpilot has a working relationship with Junkie which only allows positive ratings. Pay-to-play.
I've written positive reviews and negative reviews. On 3 occasions now, both positive and negative have been removed (You don't get a say, it just gets removed) despite me sending in documentation to prove I'm not fake! Not only that, they refuse to answer emails and perish the thought of writing a negative review about them on their own website, it just gets deleted too! Pretty disappointed when I've tried to review a company who have duped and scammed and misled individuals yet Trustpilot just don't want to know!
Left a genuine review and their arrogant copy and paste email said they're suspending my account as it's been flagged as suspicious and they're confident they've made the correct call. I replied but they ignored it.
You only have to look at the number of 5 star reviews that saturate the site to realize that companies are still offering kickbacks to people in return for a great review despite TP claiming that's not allowed. TP even have a review page for themselves and its full of the usual 5* nonsense, most only a few words saying how great they are
I left a bad review for a TV network and they demanded proof it was real. That's how ridiculous it is, why would I lie and how do you prove you watch TV? I'm sure had it been 5* it would have still been up.
I wouldn't believe any of the 5* reviews on there
Trustpilot has a rating of 1.3 stars from 85 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Trustpilot most frequently mention and integrity team. Trustpilot ranks 105th among Consumer Protection sites.
