So my husband and I wanted to get away for a weekend, and we ended up on a site called Tripz.com.
We found a cute vacation rental in Southern Florida. Registered, then we were given the direct number to the owner. How convenient. The owner was very nice and receptive. Let's just say that weekend we went out, lead to me being pregnant. We've been trying for 4 years. TMI I know. I love this site!
Airbnb and VRBO are the only two big players in vacation rental. Tripz has been a waste of my time. I'm getting frequent, predatory, and unsolicited calls from people who think they have the right to buy my property in cash. When I call trip z and leave a detailed message they never call me back. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company.
Tripz.com is an amazing vacation rental agency. Tripz does not charge service fees like most of the competition, and they provide a direct link to the property owner, meaning that you can get the very best price on any home that you choose to rent from their website. No doubt, they remain one of the best.
Tripz.com is working to replace what is truly needed in the vacation rental space. That is a nationwide advertising platform to connect travelers and owners direct with out any middleman interference. Giving open unfiltered communication between the traveler and the owner and allowing them to book direct saves travelers hundreds of their travel dollars. Love what they are doing and hope they continue to grow.
Tripz.com is really working to displace what's actually needed from the holiday leasing space. That's a national advertising platform to join owners and travelers guide together with any middleman disturbance. Let us simply mention that weekend we travelled outside, leadto me pregnant. We are trying for 4 decades. TMI I understand. I really like this website!
Bogus site with bogus rental listings. We are in Panama City Beach, FL for the winter looking for a place for next winter. We found a nice place to check out and tried to contact Eva, the mystery listing owner. No response! Checked out the place on Google maps, not there! Then we drove by the physical location, it wasn't there or anywhere near by. This site is a scam trying to draw in owner listings based on posted non-existing listings.
Tripz.com provided me top notch while keeping my budget in my mind, I was afraid that I'll be charged more like other sites generally do but my experience with them is really good.
I booked a cabin in Gatlinburg for this past weekend and inquired through tripz.com. I was connected with the "property manager" via email and, after receiving a contract consisting of broken English, inconsistencies, and other red flags I, unfortunately, proceeded to trust the fact that everything was kosher. I sent payment via Zelle since they wouldn't accept any other form of payment, despite what the contract said. We drove 8.5 hours from VA and arrived at the address that was provided on the reservation and, lo and behold, it was a private residence. Upon arrival, I called the property manager at *******317 with no response and also emailed the group I placed the reservation through... also with no response. With it being Spring Break weekend, we were basically stranded with very few options. I ended up having to book one of the only 2 hotel rooms left in the area at $370/night but am so thankful it was still available or we would have had to stay about 1 hour away.
My advice... stay away from this website and the house I paid for (link below)!

Answer: We have been owners and renters through on line sources. Contact the owner and ask for their phone number. Call them to make sure they exist. Ask for names and phone numbers for previous guests. Never pay through western union. Confirm on Google Maps the property exists. Ask the owner a lot of questions. If they are hesitant to answer or the answer doesn't make sense, don't book. If it sounds too good to be true, find a legitimate rental.
