The prices were good and their website looked legit. After booking 4 tickets, I was presented with a "booking reference" page. It looked legit, but what caught my attention was seeing the following: "Your booking is under process of Airline confirmation. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. For more information please call our customer care team for further information on *******080" Something about that didn't seem right. Then I looked online to see if there were any scams reported. What I saw made me feel nauseous. I phoned the travel junction number and only got an extended "on hold". I then phoned United Airlines to see if a booking had actually been made. No, nothing. The next call was to my bank to block the transaction. Luckily nothing had been charged yet, but I had my credit card re-issued with a new number. Better safe than sorry.
I booked an inexpensive ticket by BA - operated by AC. First of all after putting in credit card info, there was no way to review my purchase, it immediately charged my card and I received a page of confirmation with such few information, it seemed odd. Minutes later I received a call and e-mail letting me know that my flight is full, and they can put me on an AC flight for extra $300. I told him I am already on a flight operated by AC. He was very rude when I refused to send another $300 for this sketchy business, and told me without paying extra "good luck showing up at the airport".
After hours of searching I found a great deal with Travel Junction. I booked the flight. Was sent a confirmation page but no confirmation number.
I then receive 2 emails and a text stating that I had to call from the phone number I listed on the flight.
I call and as soon as the agent started speaking I knew it was a scam. While she is talking I am locking my debit card.
She proceeds to go over the itinerary. When she gets to my return ticket she tells me that the airline canceled that flight and I can just get a one way ticket because my departure was confirmed.
I said. What do I look like getting a one way ticket to Africa when I am only going for a visit. She then tells me she can change my returning ticket but at a fee. I would have to pay the difference.
Needless to say the card was already locked. And she was told all about her scamming ways and the company she works for. I threatened legal action as I told her my call was being recorded. She told me at that time my call was too. So I told her to kiss my $#*!. She said I can't handle you speaking to me so I am disconnecting the call.
Don't use these people. I read up on them after that things what they do. Or the tickets won't be valid at the airport ect. I'm glad I caught it in time before charges were applied and the fight with the bank.
Trust pilot isn't showing the negative on this company. Do your own research.
I ended up booking the exact flight via Priceline.com who I have used always in the past and never had an issue. My loyalty is with Priceline from now on
Getting a new debit card from the bank today.
Booked a flight to New Zealand at a very good price. Next morning phone call to say that the return leg was not available anymore. Could go standby or book a different with a different airline for $500 more. We refused and were told that the charge would go thru as there was no refund. We refused the other flight and fortunately never heard from them again. The second flight they were offering was higher than what I could book directly with the airlines. Such a dishonest company. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. Look at reviews and the following comments. They make no sense,
Booked ticket online last night with Travel junction.payment was taken by Travel junction. I got an email this morning stating that ticket hasn't been confirmed as they didn't receive the payment. It was £483 now ticket has gone to £800. So it clearly understandable ticket has been sold to who paid more money.
Worst part is their staff has no clue what they are talking about. When you are asking them a question, they are answering completely different.
Made a mistake by using this company. Rating on sky scanner was 3.53. No wonder people have given such poor rating.
Don't even think its a proper company. They are doing scams. Will be escalating all relevant authorities.
This is a bait and switch company. I just bought a ticket for my wife and later said that they can't honor that price anymore. Advertise price was $545.38 and went up to $959.87. I have to pay a $125 cancellation fee if I wanted to cancel it.
Scam artists. Advertise a flight at one price to get your details before increasing price a lot (sometimes double) when you go to book. Then they phone/whatsapp you to offer a 'special deal' which is less than it appears to have increased by but still +£300 on the advertised price. They say "the airline has increased the price" but still advertise the lower one to try the hard sell on you - even doing it now, several hours after the "price increased". A full on con. Shouldn't be allowed. BEWARE + AVOID.
Today, I booked a flight in the morning as I found the decent fare on the site. But after few hours, I got a call from them and the agent told me that the fare has increased. This is really very unfair of traveljunction. Bad policy, not at all ethical
Booked a flight to Washington in August for November. After a lengthy booking process I received a confirmation. Unfortunately a day later I was told the flight I booked was no longer scheduled to fly. This information was factually incorrect. What I believe happened is that they confirmed a flight they didn't have any seats for. They offered an alternative which wasn't acceptable for me. I asked for a refund. I had to accept an admin fee despite the time I waisted with this cowboy outfit but had no option. I was told the refund would take 7-8 weeks at a maximum to process. Why 7-8 weeks is beyond me. It's been 9+ weeks plus and still no refund. How is that possible? Have you ever heard about a 8 week refund process to a credit card? I dealt with Nick Johnson, Oscar Jackman and Nicki Jones. One less competent than the other. Very disappointing and bordering criminality. It's just sad they feature on Kayak which one would think would vet their agents.
Total scam! They offer you a cheap rate, then tell you it was not confirmed by the airline. Then they said it is impossible to cancel your reservation (the one that was not confirmed by the airlines). They imitated they are transferring your call to the airline, but that is one of their team. That person that was pretending to be a Lufthansa representative told me, that my reservation can't be cancel before the date of my return from the trip... can you imagine that?!?!? I had to close and replaced my credit card.
Disappointed after-sales service, this agency only cares about selling the ticket. I had my flight time rescheduled by the airline and I was informed by the agency about six months before, but there was an impediment to keep the trip with the new time and when I tried to contact the agency, it took more than 24 hours to get a return and not effective because they answered out of date and claimed that I couldn't get a refund when cancel the flight. I never asked for cancellation, I asked for reschedule and possible dates but the service did not finish. It's more difficult to negotiate by message, although they say that there is an on line way to speak with them, it doesn't work, I have spoken to three different employees and all of them did not finalize the conversation.
BEWARE. Unfortunately I cannot give them minus score. They advertise lower price and then five minutes later they call you to tell you that this price is not available and try to sell you the same ticket at a much higher price. Happened to me and my son, twice in the same day with the same scam story. They will tell you that you cannot cancel and they will not refund your money that you paid and you must pay the difference to purchase the higher price ticket or lose your money. BIG SCAMMERS. You have been warned, stay away.
I booked ticket twice and both times they didn't issue ticket and threated me to buy on higher price and pay the amount otherwise they will charge from card, its financial fraud, i have complained not only to bank but also to FBI this company should be banned for doing business and forcing customer to pay for cancellation
Stay away from travel junction, they are a fraud company,...they sell flights that are not available and then try and charge you more...this company needs to be shut down,...check out online reviews
Public please do not use this agency, they are travel performance and flights and holidays Uk as well. They'll take your hard earned money fraudulently, and won't deliver any tickets nor refund.
When you start chasing it, they ask you to call back tomorrow, next week etc. They're rude, incompetent and dishonest.
They call themselves English names like Ashley, Dave, James to pretend they're English but they sound Indian. Please be warned. If you have been affected by these scammers, please contact the police, newspapers and all social media.
Price rises 25% or more when trying to book due to "demand change" but Opening new incognito tab gets you the original cheap price. Repeatable and consistent sam
I had the same experience as most of the people here. They were trying to sell us last minute tickets that the check in counter has closed. When I realised that there is no way to check in, I decided not to proceed with the payment but they had taken my credit card details. They charged us £300 for cancellation. Amex blocked the first few transaction but eventually they went through. The terms and conditions were then emailed to me, pretending that I have accepted those terms and conditions. These are bunch of low lives who build their business model of getting people's money by charging them cancellation fee.
They overcharged. Then charged a penalty. Then claimed for 2 months that they refunded the cancelled ticket costs which never happened. Now they claim there was a "technical problem". No sign of any refund. My bank confirmed that. Their so called managers never return messages. They promised evidence of refund 5 times and never provided any. A bunch of incompetent amateurs. DO NOT deal with them and save yourself a nightmare.
This place is an absolute SCAM! I book my ticket well in advance; got to the airport this A.M., and no findings of my wife and I! I have been calling the customer service number but no response! Will be putting a fraud alert too my bank asap!
Do not use travel junction! Unreliable and take payment before you can accept their terms and conditions. Never received a confirmation email and by the time of checking the following day their system had changed the dates. Had numerous phone calls to try to rectify this only to be informed that it will cost nearly £600!
I get a phone call within 30 mins of posting a review on google. Guess they don't like bad reviews.
Anyway I get a phone call the following day saying they can reduce this rebooking fee to £370. Still trying to rip us off and still not accepting their system is faulty.
Make sure you screen shot every page before trying to book or better still use someone else.
Terrible company and very bad service!
Answer: It's a SCAM company, probably one of the well-installed scam companies in India. All the "travel agents" have a strong Indian accent but "non indian names". You get nothing but negotiations and threatening to pay more because your return booking ticket got overbooked. And they know by heart their three-page conditions when you ask for a refund. The only way you can escape is to cancel your credit card. Because of the SCAM reviews, they will probably close soon... and open again under a different name.
