I recently called to have my phone shut off because it was stolen and they refused to shut it off. They kept saying because I couldn't confirm the text that they sent… well obviously if my phone was stolen, I can't confirm a text! But I can confirm the payment method. I can also confirm the email address where the billing went through. By the way I can also confirm my name as the buyer of the phone! If one cent comes out of my account for a top off I will be dyeing this company! You are thieves and aiding in a theft. I will never purchase another thing from Trashfone!
Although the set up was free originally, the phone sucked n stop working so I had to purchase a new one. They sent another faulty one and has been giving me the run around for months. Still have not received my refund even though they have the phone back! Customer service sucks. They either hang up, transfer u a million times, or tell u you're going to get a call back and never receive that call back. I hate them so much omg.
I recently bought an iPhone from tracfone. Found out after this purchase that customer service does not know anything about activating this phone. They suggested I go to an Apple store for assistance. Very unprofessional. If I could have I would have given a zero.
I bought four phones for my kids, but was having issues activating them so I called customer service and they were unable to verify my account. They said I set up a pin number, but I never did because we have never used these phones. After going back-and-forth for several minutes and getting nowhere with the customer service rep, I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. The rep told me there was no supervisor on the floor. When I questioned him on that, he told me that there was a supervisor but he wouldn't transfer me. He said that all customer service reps are trained to not escalate things to supervisors, and that he would not transfer me and would not help me out. So now I have four iPhones, that are completely worthless, and I cannot even unlock them to take them to another carrier. I absolutely abhor people and companies like this.
They get your money then customer service is useless. I had to buy a new phone because they failed. I spent five days trying to get them to unlock my phone. USELESS COMPANY
Your TCL phone is a piece of sh%$. Especially your camera. Obviously nothing but spy useage. But it doesn't even do that very well. This is I realize a older model phone. However there is nothing smart about this phone. Can't wait to toss it in the bottom of river
Here's is what TRACFONE did to me:
I went into an ER Friday morning until Sunday, a bit over 48 hours.
During that time my cel battery went dead for about the last 24 hours.
TRACFONE killed my paid up service without notice during that time.
Their excuse is I was talking to a tower in NJ but now live in Nevada,
For over a year now but suddenly I need a new number while in an ER.
WITHOUT ANY KIND OF NOTICE OR EXPLANATION.
WHAT THE HELL TRACFONE?
I should have learned the first time I returned a phone to Tracfone. The company keeps it without refund or replacement. They make outright lies because they have no semblance. They don't know how to handle situations. I can't even get through anymore because they automatically hang up on me. I thought when Verizon bought out Tracfone it would get better. It did not. I guess BBB is the only step left. So be it!
Their customer service and website are absolutely worthless. How do I give a less than zero rating?
I have not been able to send or receive calls since 11/25/23. With first call I was told I needed new SIM card which was sent and rec'd 11/30/23. Inserted card and called support numerous times. Each time I had to give phone #, IMEI # and Sim card #. My call was dropped when problem wasn't resolved. Last call gave my landline and asked to be called back if call got dropped. Call dropped and no call back. My service is good till Aug 2024, but looks like plan was changed from unlimited call & text and my remaining data was dropped. Would give negative if possible.
Their website is laggy and buggy at best, and downright conniving at worst. Multiple times I have attempted to refill my service plan, to no avail. Their website seems to desperately want me to cave in and buy a more expensive plan.

Tracfone will unlock your phone after 3 continuous months of service however, they will turn your service off when you have minutes/texts/ data and current service cards. This has happened twice.I purchased a one year service card and my account and service was deactivated after 6 months. They also made me change my number when I moved to another state. My data was always sketchy and didn't work 90% of the time when I had data available. This was my back up emergency phone I rarely used. Customer service are very rude and not helpful. Skip Tracfone.
I have been with trac for 20 years. My husband phone took a $#*! on November 1 2023 was told to send it back and they would replace it. So I did they received the phone one 11/05. I have calling every day and no one still has a tracking number for my phone. Been told no ticket numbers and I gave them 2 different numbers. Been told they done have any phones in the warehouse. Been hung up on 4 times. I feel like this is they are just staling,

I have called and chatted with their customer service at least 9 times, for a total of 4 hours, and was belched at, sung to, promised by each person that they would assist me to get phone service or that an expert would call me back to no avail. I also asked for a refund for my airtime within a week and they all avoided and put me through repeated efforts to dismantle the phone, rebuild the towers, alter numerous settings and still no resolution. Hello Better Business Bureau and credit card company chargebacks!
I had 6 gigs of data and in 2 weeks I had no more data left so I had to spend 10 dollars for another data card when I had cricket wireless and my 30 dollar card with unlimited talk and text and 2 gigs of high speed internet I never went through the 2 gigs of data in the month
I have been with them 5 years. We have two phones. Today they wiped out all of our paid minutes for 9 m0nths. This is the second time. They just hang up on us..
Terrible customer service. Ordered new phone online that burnt-out first time charged. Spoke to 5 Different agents (kept getting disconnected). When they sent cerification code no code was there and NO returns without a code (imagine that). I am stuck with a dead phone! Discontinued their services. At least I hope my service is discontinued. Don't trust them.
Customer service is designed to waste your time by escalating your complaint from one team to another for an hour, and then disconning your call or claiming that they can't help because they can't "verify" your account. Best move is that I dumped them and switched to Red Pocket.
We purchased more minutes for an existing phone and found we no longer could call or text. Random text and 800 numbers come through. Five calls to Tracphone with same answer "move to an area of service". Is that the moon?
Answer: Tracfone uses only the most feral and unskilled labor available in the Philippines for their customer service centers. I've encountered hundreds of these creatures and found only two helpful people. The rest just seem to be thinking about bananas all day English skills and intelligence are hard to find at Tracfone's customer care center, but the script reading skills (in broken English) are among the best in Asia.
Answer: Tracfone hires only the most feral and ignorant Filipinos to work their customer care center. I've been on the phone for dozens and dozens of hours with these mindless drones and have only found one or two people (out of hundreds) that were actually helpful. The ability to speak English clearly or have a glimmer of intelligence are NOT prerequisites for employment at Tracfone.
