TopView Sightseeing

This company is the worst bus company you can use in NYC. Extremely unreliable, poor quality buses, earphones don't work and a complete rip off. Do not use them

I ennjoyed lot in that time. Its a memoriable day for me thanks. We had a wonderful time on the tour. We got to see all we wanted at an affordable price.
The buses were super neat and the driver was amazing. I had a good time on the tour.
This is definitely the best way to see the city. The unlimited hop on and off feature was very useful.
I had so much fun on the tour that I'd definitely take another the next time I'm in NY. I totally recommend.
The tour was the best part of my trip. The views from the bus were simply amazing.

Hi, We r from Las Vegas, and we spent 3 days in NYC. We have to say, the "highlight" of our trip was taking the hop on bus. Our driver Joe Licalzi (we asked for his name) was the "greatest". He was very informative and made the entire trip a delight. We know you get a lot of people complaining about this and that. But this trip was exceptional. We feel the driver made this trip the best it could be. When we visit again, I hope we get the same driver, or one as good as him. Thank you, Frank & Rosemarie Urban

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY with TopView hop-on hop-off bus company! Many problems! You'll find their reps at many intersections in midtown NYC, and they will negotiate on price (NEVER PAY FULL PRICE!). That's the good news. Bad news is that they'll charge your credit card in excess of what they quote! For example, our rep quoted us $49/pp (for a one-day hop-on hop-off ticket for the downtown bus). There were four of us, so total credit card should have been $196. To our total surprise, the amount charged to our credit card was $276! Instead of $49/pp, they charged us $59/pp. On top of that, they charged us an additional $10/pp ($40 total), which was labeled a "FEE" on our credit card receipt and NEVER disclosed during the price negotiations. We still have no idea what this fee was for. We called customer service, and they could have cared less. Typical NYC rude behavior and arrogance. No interest in customer satisfaction. Basically, they got their money, and that's all they cared about. Next problem with TopView bus company... waiting, waiting, and more waiting! First off, they don't have a daily quota for tickets, so they'll sell as many tickets as possible. However, there are only a limited number of buses. On more than one occasion during our hop-on hop-off day, we had seemingly endless wait times on the street to get a seat on a bus. For example, when the first bus arrived, there were only a few seats available, which went to those in front of us in line. We had to wait for the next bus. Guess what? When the second bus arrived, we had the same situation. We had to wait for a third bus before we were able to board. Our experience showed there was ~15-20 minutes between buses, which means we waited 45-60 min to finally board a bus. Totally unacceptable! Our advice... STAY AWAY FROM TOPVIEW BUS COMPANY.

Topviewnyc Sightseeing quoted us $48 total per person that included 3 days of touring. The Topviewnyc Sightseeing agent did not give us a receipt because he claimed the credit card machine was not working properly. When the the tickets printed Topviewnyc Sightseeing agent balled them up and insisted we pull up the app. Topviewnyc Sightseeing charged our credit card $414 for 3 people. We also had to get off the bus and walk because the road was closed and they could not figure out a detour. I called Topviewnyc telephone number *******300 the Topviewnyc Sightseeing agent advised there was nothing she could do, but for me to send them an email. I sent an email to Topviewnyc Sightseeing. Regarding a refund for the fees, we will not be able to accomodate due them be non-negotiable and mandated. At this time I will be reporting the agent for disciplinary action.

I'm only giving this company 1 star because this site won't let me leave a negative five. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The bus broke down then they tossed everyone off without a care. The driver drove around in circles starting and restarting the bus. He never informed the passengers there was a problem, wasting a good portion of people's time. I will never purchase from this company again and I will tell anyone i encounter on this trip not to purchase from this company. It is my mission to STOP anyone I see approached by this company NOT TO BUY! It's not the problems you encounter it's how you handle them.

There were road closures planned for a parade and 10K which effected the planned bus route. TopView's app and website say they will send alerts and post changes to "active maps" section when there are any changes to the planned route. I bought three 48 hour pass (almost $400) and the busses were not running as planned for 36 hours of this time. There were NO CHANGES ever posted in the app or on the website. There were MONTHS of planning that went into a parade and 10K in NYC - this was not a last minute cancelation nor was it an emergency. TopView knew the roads would be closed and the busses would not be running - but they took everyone's money and did not alert them of these cancellations. I have contacted customer service and all they say is "all sales final." I paid for a service that Topview did not provide and they did not follow their own terms and conditions to notify customers of changes. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

The topview bus tour in New York is a waste of money. In my experience it was more of a ride in a clapped out bus with a view from either an open upper deck where you would become numb with cold of from the lower deck where you could not see clearly through the windows. NY has dudes on every major road junction dressed in company red coats, all stating their deal is the best. It is a waste of money. There was no commentary to guide us around the Central Park, Harlem and upper town night time ride/ I call it a ride as tour is a mis description. Save your money and put it towards a properly run tour. The only good experience was being able to hop off the charabang and into the nearest hostelry for a stiff brandy to calm my nerves
