We got total games and run-around from Tennessee Wholesale Nursery after they sent us the wrong plants along with completely rotten plants. They played games with us and made us jump through hoops for a whole month after we spent several hundred dollars with them - and they refused us any refund or to replace the mislabelled and dead plants. I have several decades of experience as a professional native plant specialist and worked for several major botanical gardens and native plant conservation organizations. These people are the worst around.
After spending hundreds of dollars, we have nothing to show for it. They clearly take advantage of out-of-state buyers. This is a disreputable business and a total rip off/
I have purchased 128 trees and 97 of them died - the vast majority of them being pine trees with a few red maple and tulip trees. That is a 75% death rate which is absolutely pathetic. One of their problems is they ship through the post office which is extremely unreliable. I had one delivery sit over the weekend and by the time I received them, the pines were already withered and dying. I would not recommend using this company. I ordered pine trees through the arbor day foundation and had an 90%+ survival rate - same tree, planted in the same spot the same time of year.
Their customer support is terrible, never answers the phone and just an overall bad experience.

Ordered 3 ferns, Came SUPPOSEDLY dormant. Looked dead but I planted. One sprouted one fern leaf and nothing else for the last 6 weeks. The 2 others sprouted tiny fronds and one is doing nothing else and the other finally died. I contacted them on their site originally to ask what I could do, special fertilizer for ferns, more or less water. They never replied. Later when the first one died I contacted them on their website again with pictures but couldn't find any place to post them. To bad I didn't go to reviews first. Lesson learned

I've ordered 3 trees so far. 2 two foot trees and on 4 foot tree. 2 of them are doing well. I had one die in the summer/fall heat. I submitted a request for a replacement on Thanksgiving day and to my surprise, received prompt responses within an hour. A replacement is due to ship this spring. It was a pleasant experience.

This company is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau and has an F rating on their website due to terrible customer service. I placed an order almost month ago and paid for priority shipping. It has still not shipped. I was told by the customer service department that I cannot cancel the order in that they are in their busy season and plants are in the warehouse. They told me that priority shipping begins when the item is sent out no matter how long it takes them to get it.
I also ordered a 3 foot Forsythia "bush." If you click on their website link to "What your plants will look like on arrival" you will see what does look like bushes. I received two 3 foot twigs in the mail.
Extremely disappointed.
I will no longer shop with Tennessee Wholesale Nurseries because, although they give a customer service phone number, no one answers it. You are referred to email, where they merely throw links at you. All in all, it's about as impersonal of a shopping experience as one can have. A product without a person behind it does not appeal to me.

If I could give them no stars I would. This business is a scam. Ordered over $300 worth of plants to plant around my pond over a year ago. I received small dried up stems that bore little resemblance to a plant. Not one plant survived. Only then did I investigate and learn that this business has been the subject of numerous complaints with the Better Business Bureau. Unless you like to throw money away, do not patronize this business!

I did receive my order promptly, well packaged, and satisfied for sure with its contents! I did get them in the soil the next day before the rain that came through.
I do not feel I should reply with my satisfaction for "products/review" until the primrose roots have emerged from the soil and germinated. And have them go through the growing portion of their lives.
I was however very satisfied with the specimens (5), and I do anticipate that they will be absolutely beautiful and a complete success, making me a repeat customer. I am very anxious to have yellow primrose in my perineal garden!

This moss is exactly what I want and so glad to find a source, but I ended up going out of town before it was sent and delivered. The person watering for me didn't understand my instructions about the box. I opened it in the dark last night and got water on it but I saw some of the moss was already brown.But: U think it will rebound, we'll see.
I made a mistake recently regarding an earlier special that the Tennessee Nursery was running. Candy was a big help in helping me resolve my issue. This was a great example of customer service.

Terrible experience with Tn Nursery regarding order ID #*******., when ordering ship date was listed as Now, well they did ship till more than 3 weeks later. Tried to call customer service to check on my order and the telephone # was no longer in service. Finally able to text Tn Nursery to cancel order and they required a 20% cancellation fee which I agreed to. They shipped the order anyway and billed me the full amount. Terrible Service, will never order again from Tn Nursery

I placed an order online for five live milkweed plants. I called the next morning to find out the shipping timeframe. They told me 10 business days I said that is too long I need to cancel my order. I sent another request that I want to cancel my order. Six days later I receive twigs in a bag. That is the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. How insulting that you send me roots not live plants, roots After I said I wanted to cancel my order. Never order from them they do what they want

I ordered this little tree in July in honor of my tiny niece. One of her nicknames is Sassafras. I was thankful it was held at the nursery until November. Louisiana heat can be pretty hard on a tiny tree. When I received it the packaging was in tact and secure. The tree was healthy and firm. I intend to keep it as a specimen tree so I have it in a barrel outside. We've been through a couple of cold spells. I took a couple of pics where you can see it is still green and actually tiny new growth. I highly recommend TN NURSERY

I was looking for creeping phlox and I found it here! Very happy with how perfectly packaged they were and how healthy considering the weather has been wicked hot. Planting them today and will give an update in the future. Very pleased!

I purchased 9 Liatris "live plants" from this company and they sent old, dormant bulbs in a bag of dirt! How can they claim to send live plants when that's not what you get? I asked for my money back and they refused. I decided to plant them anyway and NONE of them grew! Not ONE. I asked for my money back again - under warranty this time - and they still refused! This company is very deceitful and does not honor their own warranty. Buyer beware! I will never order anything from them again.

I had 75 cedars delivered for fall 2020, I planted properly, staked, watered, etc. In a matter of days they were all turning brown and all 75 died. I sent pics early when they were dying, I emailed them back in spring and they replied they would all have to be returned for store credit. I had my wife take them for shipping they said I would be cheaper to drive them back than ship them, not possible. Very disappointed and am out several hundred dollars. I should have read all the reviews first so I could have saved my $585.00!
