I ordered witchhazel trees from TN because I couldn't find them elsewhere reasonably priced. I was happy with how they were packed, easy to plant and got more plants than I expected. That was a great bonus. I like getting plants bare root. TN will be one of my go to nurseries from now on.
The order i wanted was for the speial buy 1 get 1 free butwhen checking out it showed 3. I tried this twice but it did the same thing so I went ahead and guess I'll get 3. I have plenty of land for them so I'll see which does best. Your plants look like others I'll want in the Spring. Thanks
You keep orders straight addeliver when you say you will. I have ordered ferns& Dogwoid Trees and they are all doing great. I plan on ordering more in the near future🍪.
Thank you so much!
I ordered 200 Loblolly Pine seedlings. I choose to wait to take them out of the box since the weather was below freezing for a couple days. When I started planting I realized I only received 102 of the 200 ordered. I tried to send 2 emails to customer service and both were sent back. I called and was informed I was out of the 24 hr window.
Hi, this is Bailey with TN Nursery. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We do want to clarify that all seedling orders are carefully counted and packed prior to shipment. Our 24-hour reporting window is in place because seedlings are perishable, and counts must be verified immediately upon delivery to ensure accuracy and allow us to assist promptly.
Holding plants in the box for several days—especially during freezing temperatures—unfortunately prevents us from verifying shortages after that window. Regarding the returned emails, we’re happy to review that further, as help@tnnursery.net
is fully operational and monitored daily.
We appreciate that you chose us again to complete your planting, and we encourage you to contact us directly so we can discuss available options moving forward.
It was a mixed experience. Some of the plants I chose did well. My barefoot celadon poppies never emerged from the soil after planting.
Hi Lisa, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We truly appreciate your feedback and use each comment to continue improving—for gardeners like you who are passionate about nurturing plants. We hope to provide you with excellent results next time!
Were building a sort of forage farn and your site has sone of the best variety, including some illinois specific wetland flowers ive been after.
Thank you so much!
The prices for the Moss was much cheaper before which let me to buy different type. Now I limit myself because of the over price and no real deal.
Thank you so much!
My experience being all the way honest, is TN Nursery is great. Theyre expedient, great variety, straight forward and to quality driven.
Ive made several orders now, all were delivered quickly, often extras were added, for example, if bought a package of 5, it was mor like 7 or 8... But, youre reading reviews because you want to know the negative, right?
Only thing I can think of, is, prices are kinda high. I mean, even with buy one get one free, buying from a local nursery is almost always more affordable. But, thats not always an option if you dont live here in Tree City Tennessee.
Chris, thanks so much for sharing your honest thoughts and for being a loyal customer. We truly appreciate when fresh ideas top off your orders, and we're always thinking about how to keep giving the best balance of quality and value. Looking forward to helping with your future plans, no matter the size or where you’re planting roots!
What can I say. They tend to be a bit on the small side, and I tend to not trust businesses who want buy good feedback.
I think TN Nursery does very important work by offering native plants that give back to nature and its creatures. When we plant natives we are working hand in hand with GOD!
Yes! Thank you so much!
Although I've received extra plants with orders, I would prefer healthier stock in the amount I ordered, rather than more plants that are not the best. I've had some issues with plants surviving, even when carefully attended to.
Thank you for your honest feedback, and I’m truly sorry to hear some of your plants didn’t arrive as healthy as you expected. We always want to send strong, healthy stock — even when we include extras — and I understand you’d prefer perfectly uniform plants over additional ones. I appreciate you giving us another try, especially since you chose us for the native varieties you couldn’t find elsewhere.
If you ever receive anything that concerns you, please email me photos at help@tnnursery.net and I’ll be happy to review them and help right away. We work hard for our 5-star experience, and I want to make sure this next order is a great one for you.

I had always thought it neat to be able to obtain plants for my garden from my country, rural, mountain-area like childhood years ago. I have found so many of them at TN and extraordinarily healthy and strong too! Very happy with past purchases. Thank you TN!
Thank you so much!
Quality was good but shipping flexibility is not available. Travel a lot and like to coordinate shipping so I am home to receive and plant quickly.
Thank you so much! It's hard when it comes to shipping because we freshly dig most of our plants, I'm sorry!
Works for all the reasons they tell you. Plants are easier to transport to site, plant in the ground and seem to acclimate quickly with less shock than potted plants.
Yes! Thank you so much!
Shipping takes a while but overall, for me it's worth the wait. Customer service seems to keep things moving and very responsive.
Trees have always arrived on time and healthy. I have several that have been in the ground for 5 to 6 years and they are doing great.
Thank you so much! I WOULD LOVE TO SEE PICS! You can upload pictures to our Google reviews!
Anxious to get my trees from you guys. I just wanna make sure maybe you can contact me but I ordered two pink dog woods. Also along with these trees. I know they said they're gonna ship them, but I wouldn't mind getting them all in March.
We have your contact info! We can ship them now or in March, just call us and let us know! - 931-692-4252
My experience with TN Nursery was excellent from start to finish. The plants arrived well-packaged and protected, with healthy roots and no damage from shipping. Everything looked strong and ready to plant, and the quality matched exactly what was advertised. It's clear they take care in how plants are handled and shipped, which gives confidence they'll establish and grow successfully. TY
Thank you so much!
Consistently healthy trees, careful packaging, and reliable service are why I continue to order from Tennessee Nursery.
First two persimmon trees died first summer. Paid to return them and then two more which died the second summer.
Witch Hazel trees were excellent and all lived through the summer. We'll see this spring.
Thank you for your review, and I’m really sorry to hear about your persimmons. They can be a bit sensitive their first year, especially in heat or drought, so survival rates can vary more than with other species. I’m glad your Witch Hazel trees did great — that’s wonderful to hear.
If you’d like me to take a look at the persimmons or help you troubleshoot planting conditions for better success, please email me at help@tnnursery.net. I’m here to help however I can.

The trees sent out had a very large healthy root system. They shot up like a rocket. Very bad drought in our area when I planted and all the trees survived.
Thank you so much!
I find them very helpful. Just now I needed to be sure that a sourwood tree would grow in my Western PNW climate since my zone has changed and I am lots different from the Eastern part of the state.
Thank you so much!
I received the correct plants, but the labels were mixed up between the two kinds I ordered. I accidentally placed them in the wrong spots in my yard because of the mix up.
Thank you for your review, and I’m really sorry the labels were mixed up — that can definitely make planting confusing. The good news is that I can help you identify which plant is which so you can correct the placement if needed.
Please email me a couple of photos of each plant at help@tnnursery.net, and I’ll tell you exactly which variety is which.
I’m glad your previous plants are doing well, and I’m here to help make sure these do too!

So far, this nursery has done well. Shipped nice trees and am waiting for spring for them to bud out. I just ordered more with the buy one get one offer.
Thank you so much!
