Reasonable luck with TN Nursery Trees
November 9, 2025

I have probably lost about 30% of the trees bought from TN Nursery. No luck with 3 persimmons, 3 pecans and lost 1 Chestnut Oak. Likely my issues and not your stock but I have had better luck with Gurney's and Morse. Your prices are best but packaging does not match that of Gurney's.

Thank you for your honest feedback and continued business! 🌳 We appreciate you sharing your experience and are glad you’ve had some success with your trees. While some losses can occur due to soil, weather, or transplanting conditions, we always aim to send healthy, freshly dug bare-root stock. Our pricing reflects our direct-from-grower model, keeping costs low for our customers. We’ll also pass your feedback about packaging to our shipping team for review. We’re grateful you chose us and hope your new Buckeye Tree thrives beautifully!

Purchase of Burning Bushes
November 8, 2025

I called TN Nursery and and asked some questions about the process of ordering and delivery. I was treated like family, I have received my bushes and I am very pleased with the product. They have been planted and I am looking forward to spring to watch them grow. Thanks TN Nursery you made it all very easy.

Still waiting for Aspen trees due in November with WHITE BARK like in the Rockies NOT Lombardy poplars...
Previously ordered above and received Lombardy poplars which are not the same as the Aspen poplars with the WHITE bark.

Thank you for giving us another chance — we truly appreciate it! 🌳 Rest assured, your Aspen trees are scheduled to ship in November, as noted on our site, since this is the ideal time for dormant planting. We want to clarify that we only sell True Aspen (Populus tremuloides) — the same white-barked species found in the Rockies — not Lombardy Poplars. Once they arrive and leaf out in spring, you’ll see that beautiful white bark develop naturally as they mature. Thank you again for your patience and trust in us!

1 bare root lived, 2 died.
November 7, 2025

Bought a Witch Hazel Shrub, Hamamelis Vernalis bare root last year, put it in in the fall, and can't tell you how pleased I am. Was 11", now >36", and is a beautiful (!) healthy tree which I love to admire. OTOH, planted the 2 spicebush bare roots in the fall, seemed to be alive, but they died during the winter.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! 🌿 We’re thrilled to hear how beautifully your Witch Hazel has grown — that’s wonderful progress! As for the Spicebush, sometimes dormant bare-root plants can be more sensitive to winter soil conditions, especially in their first year before roots are fully established. We appreciate your understanding and your continued trust in us for native plants. Please email help@tnnursery.net with your order details, and we’ll be happy to review your situation and assist however we can.

Would not buy again
November 5, 2025

Only two of 4 trees arrived and they are dead. They were supposed to arrive yesterday and got here today evening. No receipt was provided and I had to struggle with customer service to get anything done.

The photo you posted shows bare-root dormant trees, which is exactly how we ship all of our trees to ensure safe transit and strong establishment once planted. They may look lifeless now, but they’re actually alive and resting for winter.

To check, you can do a simple scratch test — gently scrape away a small spot of bark near the base with your fingernail or a knife. If the tissue underneath is green or creamy white, the tree is alive and healthy. If it’s brown and brittle throughout, let us know right away.

Please email me at help@tnnursery.net
with your order number, and I’ll personally review your shipment and help from there.

Disappointment throughout the process
November 4, 2025
Updated review

Spireas almost dead when received, watered and planted. Husband weed wacked them before I could get a scratch test photo so no credit. Dogwoods planted in 10 different locations on 3 properties, all watered regularly, leaves appeared then all 10 died. Flowers were mushy when planted, they died. Everything from 4 orders died except for witch hazel & forsythia.

Bad customer service during the whole process
November 3, 2025
Previous review

TN changed warranty policy and was not going to honor it until I made a big stink about it. I provided the requested photos and they did not give me store credit for all 3 dogwood trees even after I pointed out that they shorted me about $36 dollars worth of dogwood trees. They were too busy to respond to my email request to replace about 5 plants that arrived in bad condition almost dead. After I purchase plants in the fall with whatever credit they issue me I will not be back to this nursery. Sorry. Bad customer experience from start to finish...

Let's try this again.
November 3, 2025

My previous order only 2 out of 6 survived. The morning after I received them I planted them. I let the roots soak in water for about 10 min cause they seemed dried out and almost dead. Regardless, I want to try you guys again and hopefully i will have a different outcome. 🙏🏼
