We ordered trees before and received extras to ensure that a viable tree would reach us... we really appreciated that aspect.
Still waiting for Aspen trees due in November with WHITE BARK like in the Rockies NOT Lombardy poplars...
Previously ordered above and received Lombardy poplars which are not the same as the Aspen poplars with the WHITE bark.
Thank you for giving us another chance — we truly appreciate it! 🌳 Rest assured, your Aspen trees are scheduled to ship in November, as noted on our site, since this is the ideal time for dormant planting. We want to clarify that we only sell True Aspen (Populus tremuloides) — the same white-barked species found in the Rockies — not Lombardy Poplars. Once they arrive and leaf out in spring, you’ll see that beautiful white bark develop naturally as they mature. Thank you again for your patience and trust in us!
Bought a Witch Hazel Shrub, Hamamelis Vernalis bare root last year, put it in in the fall, and can't tell you how pleased I am. Was 11", now >36", and is a beautiful (!) healthy tree which I love to admire. OTOH, planted the 2 spicebush bare roots in the fall, seemed to be alive, but they died during the winter.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! 🌿 We’re thrilled to hear how beautifully your Witch Hazel has grown — that’s wonderful progress! As for the Spicebush, sometimes dormant bare-root plants can be more sensitive to winter soil conditions, especially in their first year before roots are fully established. We appreciate your understanding and your continued trust in us for native plants. Please email help@tnnursery.net with your order details, and we’ll be happy to review your situation and assist however we can.
Only two of 4 trees arrived and they are dead. They were supposed to arrive yesterday and got here today evening. No receipt was provided and I had to struggle with customer service to get anything done.
The photo you posted shows bare-root dormant trees, which is exactly how we ship all of our trees to ensure safe transit and strong establishment once planted. They may look lifeless now, but they’re actually alive and resting for winter.
To check, you can do a simple scratch test — gently scrape away a small spot of bark near the base with your fingernail or a knife. If the tissue underneath is green or creamy white, the tree is alive and healthy. If it’s brown and brittle throughout, let us know right away.
Please email me at help@tnnursery.net
with your order number, and I’ll personally review your shipment and help from there.

Spireas almost dead when received, watered and planted. Husband weed wacked them before I could get a scratch test photo so no credit. Dogwoods planted in 10 different locations on 3 properties, all watered regularly, leaves appeared then all 10 died. Flowers were mushy when planted, they died. Everything from 4 orders died except for witch hazel & forsythia.
Hi Lisa, I’m really sorry to hear about your disappointing experience and the trouble you’ve had with your plants. We sincerely appreciate you sharing your feedback, and we’d love the chance to make things right or offer advice to nurture what you have — just reach out when you’re ready. help@tnnursery.net
TN changed warranty policy and was not going to honor it until I made a big stink about it. I provided the requested photos and they did not give me store credit for all 3 dogwood trees even after I pointed out that they shorted me about $36 dollars worth of dogwood trees. They were too busy to respond to my email request to replace about 5 plants that arrived in bad condition almost dead. After I purchase plants in the fall with whatever credit they issue me I will not be back to this nursery. Sorry. Bad customer experience from start to finish...
I spoke on the phone with Karen. She was courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. It was a fast transaction and I like their service. This is not my first time dealing with TN Nursery. I highly recommend them.
Thank you so much!
Ordered virginia bluebells, trillium, bloodroot. Virginia bluebells are the most reliable though size of rhizomes does vary from one order to another. Bloodroot hard to keep going in my yard...
Thank you so much!
This is my second time ordering, and I was greatly pleased with my first order that we tried again. I will add this tree with my other one and hopefully benefit greatly.
Thank you so much!
Glad to get a Santa Rosa plum ree. Mine old tree is over 20 years old.
My previous order only 2 out of 6 survived. The morning after I received them I planted them. I let the roots soak in water for about 10 min cause they seemed dried out and almost dead. Regardless, I want to try you guys again and hopefully i will have a different outcome. 🙏🏼
Thank you so much!
Not good, items were on clearance and thus were not guaranteed. I did not see that at the time I placed the order. All items died.
Lee, thank you for sharing your experience with us—we truly appreciate your honesty. We're sorry the clearance items didn’t meet your expectations, and we genuinely care about your satisfaction. Please reach out so we can make this right.
So I ordered several trees from TN Nursery for a great price. The problem is there is zero shipping info. Just wish I would know when my trees will show up.
When you put in your email, we will send you an email as soon as your trees ship. If you email me, I can add it, so you will get shipping updates! help@tnnursery.net - bailey
Ordered a large quantity of plants earlier this year. Most all have made it through a brutal drought this summer. Some didn't make it.
Thank you so much!
All plants came in healthy, but all but 1 died within 6 months, Despite excellent care they could not apparently take the Phx. Heat.
