Had a great experience and shopping tires with the company tire rack

The online ordering was terrible since you can't use PayPal and add the tire shaving fee, but it still lets you place the order. So I had to call and give a credit card…. Then they never added the fee and I was shipped a non shaved tire. Called in and was told a new shaved one would be here the next day. It never showed and when I called in again I was told that it never was going to and would be there the next day. I had to drive my long commute an extra day and had to take hours off work to get it fixed to avoid another 40mile trip each way to work. So I lost hours at work and this tire cost me even more.

Ordered Monday and the tire was at my door Tuesday before noon!

Very happy with the tires, the price, the delivery and shopping online with TireRack.
The "recommended installer" - not so much. The receipt for the tires in an email specifically says $78 installation for a set of four. We made no changes to the order, everything went through according to how it's supposed to. When we called the installer after we received confirmation of delivery, they said it would be $150 and would NOT budge from that inflated installation price. Even the manager - gave us some kind of song and dance about going to "lifetime balance, blah, blah, blah." After some discussion we didn't even want this installer putting on the new tire set for fear of a half-assed job, and just went to another place we've gotten tires at before and they put them on for $100 for the set. The TireRack customer service person was very pleasant and offered to help us find another recommended installer - we found one, but used our other tire place to put them on anyway, just wanting to get the insanely simple task of installing 4 tires on to a vehicle behind us. Bottom line, before you hit the purchase button, call the installer and verify the given install price. TireRack needs to come down on renegade installers - like this one.

I've seen on OdyClub.com a lot of members went through TireRack to suspension parts in addition to tires. I'm depaxing and lowering my odyssey so I bought H&R Springs, Eibach alignment bolts, KYB shocks (07' front, 10' rear) and 235/50/19 Continental tires. Everything came quick and communication with TireRack was consistent. Very excited on installing these parts.
