Ticketmaster are shocking! You cannot speak to anyone, only email, then you receive a standard response. They're happy to take your money and then do nothing to resolve a problem or inquiry. I'll never use them again!

Rip off Merchants

Brought x3 tickets for New Order at the O2 London but due to work commitments we could not go so tried to sell them at below face value but Ticketmaster wouldn't let me so I lost a my money the con merchants

The core function of the business is administration; yet this household name operating for years can't pull it off. There was no opportunity in the system to enter the ballot for a single ticket- only for 2 people. What if you wanted or were only able to attend the concert alone? We were told that those who had applied to the ballot would be told in late April if they had been successful. That is precious little time to make travel arrangements- considering many would need to book train tickets and hotels etc as they would be travelling from across the country. I had expected that, if granted tickets, then we would be e-mailed, and then the tickets would be ours. We were not pre-warned at the time of application to the ballot that, if successful, those tickets would have only a short time to be claimed (in the event, only 2 hours). I had assumed that the tickets would be fully granted, or not at all-rather than only temporarily available. To cap it all, when I received an e-mail to say that my tickets had been granted and then given to someone else, there was no apology. Just a brief message to say that 'all tickets have now been snapped up'. At the very least, the message should have read 'we are sorry to inform you that all tickets have now been snapped up'. This company have to remember that there are human beings behind the purchase of tickets, and that it takes time and effort to acquire the tickets, and usually, money-sometimes a great deal of money. You are not the only operator in town. Next time, think of the customer as a human being, and not just a number.

A complete mess on our installment payments for Download 22. Unable to contact them directly to resolve despite chasing them for 3 months. Unable to change the payment card (it had expired) and there was one outstanding payment which we kept telling them.
After being told we could get the tickets at the Box office... they then forfeited them on the day of the event! We were stood in a field with all our camping gear and our 7yr old, 200 miles from home. £700 out of pocket! An utter joke!

Lost tickets
October 31, 2017

My email was lost, my credit card had been cloned so I had destroyed it. I could not get access to my concert tickets. I rang their helpline and they very quickly sent me an email attaching the tickets. Excellent service.

Poor communication
January 9, 2022

Ordered tickets for Wicked in London for 27th December, event was cancelled on the 24th December due to covid which is fair enough.

15 days later no communication around refund and even worse there is no way to contact them via phone, email or live chat.

There website is specifically designed to restrict your ability to contact them around cancellations.

Even a standard email to explain how long a refund would take would be useful.

Totally unacceptable to blank customers who are waiting for refunds amounting to hundreds of pounds

Absolute disgrace

I got tickets to a gig and got pneumonia and missed my flight back to the UK so I asked about a refund and they said they would get back to in 4 days, I messaged them in 4 days and got the same message, this went on for 30 days and then on the day of the gig they said no which means I couldn't even give away my tickets or re sell it

Avoid if possible

If you can avoid it at all, DO NOT purchase concert tickets through Ticketmaster. We are supposed to be going to a long-awaited concert tonight, and though I purchased tickets more than a year ago, Ticketmaster only sent them out 8 days ago (no option of e-tickets at time of purchase). They have since sat in a sorting centre in Manchester, which can plainly be seen on the tracking info. Neither TM or the venue will re-issue tickets, in case 4 people go in instead of two and their capacity limit is breached, even though they can plainly see that I DON'T HAVE THE TICKETS. They flatly refuse to help in any way, or offer compensation.
So now it seems I have lost the ticket cost, the chance to see one of my favourite bands, and several hours of my life (so far, this isn't over) in disputes with them. Absolutely useless.

I had to send 16 emails over the course of two months to get access to the tickets I purchased in Feb 2020 (Gig was re-scheduled due to COVID and they never sent me revised tickets for the new date). Finally I got the tickets today - for a show that was yesterday. Have sent several more emails asking that my tickets are refunded or valid for a later date. No response yet. £200 wasted and I miss a show I have been waiting over 2 years for (I've actually waited 9 years for this show if you count how long MCR have been disbanded for)

WHERE'S MY REFUND?

Let me actually talk to someone, not just a ridiculous bot that doesn't provide me with enough options to deal with my query!

No-one's interested in talking to a bot.

Get some contact numbers published and let your customers actually talk to someone!

When I take the time to write a message to you, take the time to respond in person.

Don't tell me that you've send money to my account and will be in my account within 3-5 days and then send me an automated response to my enquiry telling me that the money will be refunded 10 days after the event has taken place!

Mixed messages don't help...

GIVE ME MY MOENY BACK!

Been waitign for responses to my messages.
You've taken my money, told me that you've sent you a refund and the money still hasn't arrived.

CROOKS!

The whole service is out to rip you off. From the site to the phone service.
Firstly the site is hard to use and not very clear on how to finalize your purchase. Once you have selected your tickets and then finally find yourself at the check in stages, it gives you a 3 minute or so timer on each page, barely enough time to read through your purchase. Essentially rushing you to buy the tickets before reading them through thoroughly. Whats the rush? My ticket inst going to sell in the next 15 mins, there's 100s left for god sake!.
Not only that they decide to add on a £10 service charge at the end of the transaction, which would have been handy to know prior to completing the checkout stage. Then finally they decide to throw in the £3.45 delivery fee right at the end! All this information is surely hard to take in while overlooking the details of your purchase with a 3 minute timer! Sort it out ffs!

Before I decided to use the online service I tried to order my tickets over the phone. The phone service tells you as you ring that it will charge you 9 pence per minute... Ok fair enough this wont take long... But oh no it does, rather than connect you to someone to sort your transaction swiftly, you have to literally go through hundreds of options with the automated service, pressing 1 - 9 keys to finally find your venue, dates, seats, times etc. It's all blatantly designed to keep you on the phone as long as possible.

The whole company is really taking the p*** out of you, but they know they can get away with it as it's the only source of getting event tickets for many big events.

Never again
March 26, 2020

Spent £100 on tickets for an event on 26 June 2020, which was just canceled due to the pandemic and rescheduled to FEBRUARY 2021. We can no longer attend on the new date and due to their policy we can not get a refund for the tickets, but instead this scammy company says to sell them on a marketplace so they don't lose a dime. That would be fine if the rules didn't state that you get your money AFTER THE SHOW, which in our case is now in Feb. What if the tickets don't sell? Even if they do sell we won't get the money for ELEVEN MONTHS. Absolute rubbish business model especially dealing with events effected due to the pandemic; we'll never give them a cent again and will be telling everyone we know to do the same.

If 0 stars were an option Ticketmaster would achieve this … and it would be overscored! Where do I start? My wife bought me a ticket for Roger Waters last September and, in our opinion, it should be possible for someone to buy a ticket for their partner as a gift without sharing the account but not so with Ticketmaster as electronic "tickets" are non-transferrable. Their "tickets" however are not electronic as normal people would expect i.e. Available to print at home. Oh no, too simple. You must download an app using your email address but if someone bought you a ticket on their email it is impossible for you to use it! Great! So can you talk to someone to get it sorted? No, the 0333 number advertised is no longer in use so you have to send an on-line enquiry and cross your fingers!
Their "Ticketmaster Fan Support" (what does that even mean as a job title?) failed to understand the issue and even after 9 emails by me and about the same by Airel we got nowhere and I had to take a screenshot of the "ticket" that my wife sent me and I took printed copies of all of our receipts etc. - thankfully I did manage to get in.
There were typographical errors in the responses to my emails from Ticketmaster and they were obstructive and undiligent and did not read what I had written and was also totally lacking in sympathy or empathy.
Some of the issues I endured yesterday were of Airel's making but some are clearly procedural and therefore created by a lack of training or care by senior management within Ticketmaster.
One positive I can record is that, quite unexpectedly, their CEO Mr. Parsons did respond to me (or at least one of his team!), albeit after the event; surely his intervention upon receipt of my 2 emails directly to him on the day of the concert, would have been far more appropriate?
On a completely separate issue why do all Ticketmaster's emails start with "##- Please type your reply above this line -## " it makes no sense?
