I think Thrive offers a lot of value. However, I dislike how things can get set to autoship without your realizing it, how it automatically renewed my membership when I'm pretty sure I disabled that, and how their bribe/credit to keep my membership had a short expiration date I almost missed. I don't like this way of doing business and I'd rather just go to the store.
The 60 dollar a year membership a scam. It's wrong and I believe there is a lawsuit pending because of them automatically renewing the "subscrption" fee of $60. I haven't used it in a year. Thought I canceled it and they want to refund $20. And allow me to keep using it when I can even afford to pay my electric bill.

I am upset with Thrive Market's awful website! I wasted two days struggling to simply buy a gift card for a friend! Instead, I wasted hours dealing with this website's user-hostile layout and operation, its unresponsive chat automation, its poor and unclear messaging, its deceptive way of tricking people into purchases and memberships, and its over-the-top toxic, confusing, and repeated promotion popups constantly reminding me to order more stuff!

My friend is on a special diet and she loves Thrive Market, and she needs it b/c of her diet restrictions. I'm glad Thrive is providing her what she needs. But, I recommend thst those who don't absolutely need this service avoid this horrible website and its over-the-top toxic version of craven, money grubbing internet capitalism.

I used to be a subscriber and have signed up again. All I want to do it shop your various departments buy the things I want and get them shipped. I am single and don't need regular shipments but your site keeps bombarding me with "sign up for timed shipments for the same items. The whole experience was frankly annoying, I understand the financial benefit to the company to do this but I don't need it and would guess that many don't. I placed an order and will try it again and hope the experience improves

Heavy synthetic fragrance on food items. I am a doctor of epidemiological studies and I cannot express more emphatically to you or how bad this is for your neuroendocrine system. Anyone with any kind of chronic or autoimmune illness needs to stay very far away from these types of scents especially on food. There needs to be a lot better oversight contamination. The second issue is that they use on trac so good luck getting your deliveries in any kind of timely manner. You may think to yourself, I'll just purchase some frozen items because surely they will have to arrive on time and nope, they will still arrive leaking and getting all over anything it touches. Not fun when you live in Bear country.

Too many of your products are made with sea salt and sea salt has micro plastics in it! I am finding less and less products I can buy from Thrive!

When email received to add to order or replace, another order begins with more shipping added instead of adding to existing order. This is a huge waste of time.

It's a pain to order, the selection of products I can use is very limited, many of the products I have tried are gross, and I hate the membership fee and the additional "safety" fee (whatever that is) NO other company has it. The only reason I order from them at all is because they have two products I can't get anywhere else.

You can join, but you cant cancel. You need to chat online via messaging on their site with a customer service rep. When you do, ask for an email confirmation. Then go to your bank/ paypal/ etc, and remove your payment info. These guys charged me two years that I didn't use because I "signed up for auto renewal". Otehr companies (like Squarespace for instance) will email you in advance to let you know about an upcoming charge, not Thrive. No way to dispute either. You are better off using other subscription services out there with friendly practices. This company is shady. Also, this company is rated "A+" with BBB, but with 2 star reviews (see screenshot attached). If you read the reviews there they all suffer the same experience.

More predatory than Comcast and just as hard to cancel. Last year I signed up for a free trial and placed an order. After it hadn't been delivered in two weeks, I contacted customer service to check on the order and to cancel. After having to deal with a chat bot through 5 rounds of offers about upcoming deals, I was transferred to a representative. I timed it, and it was 5 minutes for the real person to connect, then three minutes to the second for every message after that. I'm sure they have it set automatically so that people get frustrated and close the chat window. They ended up cancelling my membership while we were chatting (after three more rounds of increasingly better offers) and agreed to reship the order that never left the warehouse. The order took another week to ship. Just this morning I received an email that my membership auto-renewed. Apparently because they shipped the replacement order after my membership had cancelled, it reactivated. I didn't get charged for last year, but I did for the renewal. I just had to go through the exact same chatbot system of offers and representative offers before being able to cancel. This company is doing everything it can to take your money.

We love Thrive! Compared to our brick-and-mortar stores with the same brands, Thrive nearly always has it for cheaper (or if not cheaper, the same; but usually it's cheaper). I don't know what we would do without Thrive, with limited income and my own special dietary needs oh, it's really hard to keep the groceries within budget. The Thrive brand is especially cheap and amazing quality!
On top of it all, Thrive has really great customer service. I've always contacted them through their online chat and they are quick and easy to work with.
I love in the metro are of a large city and it usually takes 3-4 business days (from the date of purchase, to get my box. Not bad!

Nowhere on their order page does it say that they will charge you a membership fee... one month after your first order. Contacting support got me no response whatsoever. I ordered a product for $7 and paid a $59.95 fee for the privilege. My bank told me they were unable to investigate this fraud, but if enough people call Bank of America and block them, then perhaps they will.
This is an intentional scam.
Hi Squeaky- I apologize that this came as a surprise. As a membership-based company, we offer a 30-day free trial that begins with the first Thrive Market purchase. After the trial, we charge the annual fee for our services, as noted in the policy on the checkout page. We also send trial members an email reminder a few days before the membership is activated. It is not uncommon for customer's to find our emails in their spam. We'll be sending you a private message to discuss your account.
It has been such a game changer finding Thrive. Not only do I do most of my food shopping here, I also get cleaning products, supplements, household products, just so many things. They do the hard work of filtering out toxic brands like tide or bounty and provide alternatives safe for my entire household

Thrive Market is an online shopping club dedicated to healthy food and less toxic cleaners and Earth friendly products. They are my favorite organic food source. Why? Because they offer high quality organic food at below retail prices. They have awesome customer service and give timely updates on the status of one's order. By the way, if you are looking for dry beans and lentils, give Thrive Market's brand a try. They have the BEST dry beans and lentils -- very few beans need to be thrown away. Most are in perfect condition, unlike other brands I have tried.
I highly recommend shopping at Thrive Market. The awesome customer service, high quality products, fantastically low prices, etc is well worth the price of membership.

I have been ordering from Thrive for quite some time. I have the membership and appreciate the excellent service, packaging, and care they take to make sure your items arrive as if you purchased them from the shelf. I get notifications when it's at my door, and even before that when it's shipped etc. the selection and value is so much better than stores. The multivitamin I take is nearly double on a commonly used two day delivery service. I enjoy their name brand products as much as others. I purchase anything from vitamins to GF pretzels on Thrive. I'm a lifer with Thrive Market and recommend it to everyone!
