They made it right!

While I have always loved this site and spend an extraordinary amount of money there they have let me down this year. I order so much from this site that I started early for Christmas so I could buy everything for my son that I wanted to get him. I ordered a Spock tie in September which was a light blue. It was shipped in a cellophane bag and I wrapped it. When it was opened Christmas day it was a dark teal tie not a Spock tie. All I asked for when I wrote to them was an exchange for the correct item. I was told it fell over 90 days so they could not accept my return even though I was trying to get the correct item not asking for my money back. They said I could review their return policy. I stated they could review the amount of money I spent in the last four months paying attention to the last 90 days and I would ship it all back in returns. A good business would look at the type of customer you are and note few returns over many years of large orders and try to satisfy the customer... any customer. They still have the ties so why can't I get the color I ordered? I thought it was... "Bye bye Think Geek... it was nice knowing you." They did finally come through and make things right!

Absolute worst customer service and problem resolution ever. Will never buy from them again. Ordered on the 14th and will not even get my order until the 26th if im lucky. They never shipped my order, and never contacted me when it was supposedly lost. They claimed it got lost in transit yet ups tracking states they never even received the package. I emailed them 3 times and never received a response. Good luck calling them either, they dont ever answer. I finally got ahold of someone on live chat and they refused to ship the package with a fast enough speed to get me my order by christmas. Delivery was available yet they chose not to do it! When i asked to connect me with a supervisor, i was told they wont do live chat. She stated that i need to call in. I told her "whats the point of that when no one answers the phone!" i told her to have them call me since they dont answer and she stated they wont make outgoing calls. If they screw up your order, they will not go out of their way one bit to fix it. I look forward to never buying from them again!

I will never shop from the site again I ordered a series of Christmas presents from the site well in advance of Christmas. They charged my card and then never sent my order. I called to check up on it only a few days before Christmas wondering where was and I found out that the items I had already paid for they have sold to someone else. So then they told me that they would give me the different items of my choice and overnight the whole order guaranteeing that my entire order will arrive no later than the day before Christmas and then when everything actually shipped lo and behold only half my order shipped as the rest of my order was out of stock. I personally confirmed on the phone every single item that I ordered availability before I place the order and yet I only get half of the stuff before Christmas so thanks for ruining Christmas this year thank you

We ordered Minecarft Earring on December 04 2013 and we did not receive it and we decide to call on December 14th to check statue on it and we were told it will ship next day air via UPS and also receive e mail confirmation without tracking number so we could not track but still on December 19th we did not receive our order and we called again and have to hold for over 20 minutes, finally got to talk to somebody and we were told it is out of stock, we are shock by this how can it be out of stock and they charge our credit card month ago and when we called on December 14th we were told they will ship next day via ups, why LIE
It was Gift and because of that we don't have gift for somebody, even after that we try swap for something they have and they said they can't do it
What a bull$#*! customer service
I do not recommend this site to anybody, customer service is terrible

I ordered a T-Shirt on Dec. 2nd. Got a receipt and shipping confirmation. Waited. Nothing. Finally after 2 weeks I called customer service and was told that order must have been lost in shipment and a new order will be submitted with expedited shipping to get it to me before Christmas. About five minutes after I hung up from customer service I received an email from them stating that "Unfortunately, new stock of the item listed below has not arrived and we have decided instead to discontinue the product". Would have been nice to have known this sooner and would have been nice for whoever I talked to to catch this while we talked as I would have been willing to order another t-shirt as a replacement while I had her on the phone. But no. Pretty lousy oversight on their part and leaves me scrambling unnecessarily for another gift. Lousy service not going back.

Anyone thinking of shopping with thinkgeek.com this holiday season... DON'T. I accidently put my zip code as ******* (only 1 number off) and within thirty minutes I called customer service and not only can they not change the address, they can't stop the shipment and I just simply have to hope that the items get sent back to them before it'll be sent back to the right address. I paid an additional $12 for shipping so it would get to me in three days, but it'll take two weeks for them to get me my items. I AM PISSED. All the customer service rep would say is "I don't know what to tell you, that really sucks." And the supervisor didn't say much better! Only: "You'll have to wait until the items are returned back to our warehouse, and once the return is processed, we'll give you a free shipping coupon so you don't have to pay shipping again!" WHY THE HELL WOULD I TRY ORDERING FROM YOU PEOPLE AGAIN?!

Great looking products, but customer service SUCKS! I ordered nearly $200 worth of products, and after 3 weeks they hadn't even left the warehouse. I had to chase and chase and eventually lodge a Paypal dispute to get my money back. Don't trust them, they don't deliver! GO ELSEWHERE!

I love this site. They have really interesting items, the site is easy to navigate, they ship promptly, they offer sales promotions through their email list and I can actually get cool tings with the points I get for purchasing through them. I never have a problem and the one time I had to return an item it was handled well. It is my favorite spot for stocking stuffers and weird items for my friend's annual gag gift grab bag.

I ordered from this site and paid $22 for next day air shipping. Nowhere on the order page did they say it would take up to 48 hrs for the order to be processed. I received my order 4 days later. When I called to ask for a refund on the shipping they flat out refused. So beware of this site. Plus you can get most everything they have for sale at Ama***. Com cheaper and with free shipping.

I'm torn on this one.
I've used this site a few times with mixed feelings.
The shipping cost is high, in my opinion. You may say, "YOU GET FREE SHIPPING WITH PURCHASE OF $75!"
Okay, true, HOWEVER, if you use their site often and have points and get spammed by them with promos, that free shipping offer doesn't apply if you use a promo code to save 15% or whatnot so that's SUPER annoying.
If you don't need a promo code for the FREE SHIPPING then you shouldn't take it away because I used a promo code.
NOT COOL!
The return policy sucks. Plain and simple.
I got a UBS charge for the car. The charger was DOA (Dead On Arrival) and yet ThinkGeek.com was going to charge me for replacing it, even though it came from them dead! It would have cost me more to return it and then replace it or just return for a refund than the refund would have been after their fees.
Again, NOT cool.
Now, looking at the site from a funchionality aspect, it serves its purpose and does what it's supposed to- the Doctor Who tab to keep the Doctor in an easily accessible place is awesome- and the geektastic items featured at awesome.
The geek points accumulate quickly but the options, unless you dish out hundreds of dollars a month on geek crap, don't really get you much for the effort.

Overall, it's a three star because it offers amazing geek crap that you can't find anywhere else, at prices that no one living in their mother's basement can afford, in an enviroment that is clean, professional looking with a geek and nerd edge (their staff reviews are HILARIOUS).

ThinkGeek.com is most definitely a frequent stop on the web shopping trips. They have a very good selection and ship quickly. There prices are good and the customer service is helpful. I have bought several things with my most recent purchase being a pick punch. My daughter now collects every used credit/gift card she can get her hands on and makes guitar picks out of them. She then either keeps the picks or makes jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc.). I would definitely recommend this shop.
