Scam. Took my money in seconds but never give them back as failed to provide code.

After few weeks of chasing eventually got my refund. But it wasn't a nice experience. Be persistent if service not provided.
Like everyone else on here, take your money, send an email saying can't get the code. Never receive refund. If you look at the owner they've doing it for years under different company names. Went through credit card to get cash back. Cancelled my card to prevent further dodgy transactions. Hate interent scammers. Don't think I'll stop with a review - trading standards next!
In late July 2014 I paid to have a non-US MotoG unlocked. The next day I received the standard form letter (described here already by others) stating they could not unlock phone and promised a refund. After months of sending emails of which very few were responded to, I finally received a refund (Oct 2014). I received all sorts of creative/questionable excuses. I can only conclude that these folks are either scammers or incompetent - either way DON'T risk your money on them. I instead paid 1/5 the cost charged by "the unlock team" to a fellow from Britain I found on ebay. Received a valid unlock code within 2 hours! It's a little harder to pad your stats and get away with scams there.
Advised they can unlock my Nexus 5. Submit my order. Reverse their decision and tell me I will receive a refund in appox. 10 days. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing! If you have a Nexus 5, don't use this site.
After providing them with IMEI nbr their reply was 100% we can unlock. Paid with credit card, got auto reply will provide code in 6-12 hrs, nothing happened, contacted scammers got fake reply: cannot get a code reason my phone must be stolen black listed or damaged.
I'm the original owner got it from the carrier I'm with Rogers and still using on same plan for 2 years and it works perfectly. Want to unlock it so I can lower my cost with a different carrier.
Anyhow it's not only the small $ amount but the deed. SCAM. Contacted mastercard they are going after them.
I don't have a review as of yet and I'm weighing the odds;. Looks like some people are content whereas others are most certainly not;... sometimes you never know who's writing the reports and for what reason truthfully;... could be a competitor or could be a real complaint;... I'm trying to determine if it's worth the risk as i saw a member of the unlock team come back with a retaliation on here stating that some individuals falsify information;... would anybody out there viewing like to add to this delirium? I agree about the time it takes to receive your code, it's too long! This one took me two days and was supposed to be 24 hours. They did email me with an update at the 24 hours mark saying there was a delay on the unlocking server which they had no control over, so I guess it wasn't there fault. Regardless the code worked as planned and my new sim card went in without a hitch. So four stars, could do better if the codes came a little faster
Followed instructions and received a message back that they could unlock my phone. Paid the money only to receive an email shortly after 'apologising' that they couldn't unlock it. As per their terms & conditions, a full refund was to be within 7 days... didn't happen.
Not a nice way to do business... lesson learned!

My friend recommended theunlockteam.com after unlocking her phone.
Though I would give it a go and ordered unlock code and received in about 16 hours, the code was for a Rogers locked Samsung note 3 and all it took was a code that I typed into the screen. I inserted a different career sim card and it asked me to enter unlock code.
I entered unlock code and got message that phone is unlocked now...!
Who knew it was so simple. Worth the ten bucks or so.
Phone works fine and its been 3 days and everything works great... cant be better...!

I would rate a 0 if possible. I went through the steps to request a code for my S5. No response for a couple days. I sent an email to them for support and was told they had no record of the transaction. Though my visa statement Cleary shows paying them 8.99 plus exchange.
After several exchanges with their "support staff", they gave me a code... which, surprise surprise, didn't work. I informed them of this. After a wait, they said they would refund my money. In 10 days. It is now 18 days later. No money.
Buyer be aware of this site. They only thing they do is take your money

I had same kind of experience with them but paul and rebecca from the Unlockteam they helped me and replied all of my emails promptly, as they promised they have returned my money through paypal account. I really appreciate them and they are trust worthy. You should understand these kind of online transactions will take some time based on your bank credit cards. Excellent service. We received three codes and had to try each individually, but there was no need as the first code worked as soon as I entered it. The code took a little longer than expected but was well worth the wait considering the savings. Thanks guys, recommended to anyone.
They told me they could unlock my phone, then after paying said that they could not unlock the phone but would refund within 7 days. I have written several times and get exactly the same response each time that there was a technical issue and they could refund within 24 hours to my paypal. It has been 4 months now

I recently unlocked a Nokia through your services and my code was delivered within the time specified. The transaction was smooth and impressive considering it saved a trip to my local mall (who were actually the same price). A good service for unlocking phones.
My bank account has been charged on July 29. The promised unlocking "within 24 hours at most" has not been kept. No acknowledgment of my request has been issued. I am in limbo with a still locked phone. An Email to the company has also been ignored.

I tried several different sites to unlock my phone and every one was charging the a crazy price and offering no real guarantee that their service would work. I cam over the unlock team and the price was so reasonable I through I'd give it a go.
Customer service was superb, with replies to all my emails in a few hours.
The only negative about the service was the time it took. I thought this would be instant put it took over seven hours, but this was overnight so no big deal for me.
So a brilliant service and I'm very grateful
