I booked task rabbit to assemble a piece of Ikea furniture. The tasker asked for a different time, and then cancelled. There was no way for me to track the task, or to rebook the same task. It took a while to find a human to speak to in customer service, and I said I was seriously upset. She said that she'd escalate the problem and rebook immediately. It took 9 days before they contacted me again. I will never use them again, and am shocked that Ikea would work with such a fly-by-night firm.
The taskers constantly cancel at the last minute leaving you no ability to book someone else. Happens time after time after time. Because you can not rate a tasker from their the time of their commitment to do the job, they have no incentive to show up. If the company permitted you to rate the tasker when they flake and cancel at the last minute, they would think twice about it. But they don't, bc they don't give 2 shakes about the customer. I am 68 years old and with a disability & need help. I booked Amanda H on Friday to work on Saturday morning. She cancelled at 1am, leaving me no option to replace her! AVOID AMANDA H! This sort of thing happens all the time. There is no incentive to the tasker to not do this and the customer is in the dark to taskers doing this bc we can review that. This service stinks!
I wanted to get a picture frame project hung. My tasker was nice and professional but charged $60/hr! We left to go out for the night and she worked on the project- babysitter was home while she worked, but I wasn't there to supervise, I didn't think I needed to it was a straight forward job. Big mistake. It took her 3 times the amount of time it should've have taken. I was absolutely shocked at the cost when I got the invoice. $450+ to hang pictures! And on top of it TaskRabbit added some "trust" fee of $50 on top of it! I was sick to my stomach and felt taken advantage of. I hung those pictures myself the year before but had to take them down for home repairs- so I know how long it should take. Never again am I using this service.
WHEN will my registration be processed? You took the $20 really fast, but take your time actually making us active? So much so that you post on your website a whole page saying you'll let us know when you make us active? You shouldn't process our payment until we are actually REGISTERED and active! Please register me immediately or refund the $$.
I needed bedroom furniture moved out of the bedroom so painters could paint. 30 minute job. Three kids canceled on the job at the last minute citing conflicts. But the conflict was they were on another job that was taking longer that they thought. If that's how they want to play, fine. But the customer should be able to provide a review on the cancelation. Do not hire high school kids for tasks. They do not have an ethical or moral compass.
Better of going on craigslist and finding work than giving them money and get nothing back in return, I have a lot of experience in electrical work i freelance for about 6 years now and if i was to wait for them to find me a task i would be homeless by now i feel like i was scammed out of money and i hope someone that had same experience as i did and has money will sue the $#*! out of them this is ridiculous.
I wish I read all these reviews. They are not professionals. They are average people just like me and you. Like what the hell. The TV was tilted after the hanged it. My cabinets were not put on the same orientation I wanted. The delivery from imeas was still missing some parts. I feel like creating now.
I had the worst of the experience with Tasker who came to install a bunk bed for my Son on his birthday...however he had no clue what is he doing and asking for my help...so what's the point of paying for services? He was not able to go through the manual and completely damaged the frame of the bed and was in a real rush to go and promised to help if I require any help to file a complaint, but after the complaint was filed, the tasker is not responding to calls, text or voicemail...so kind of left with no help...hence I request anyone who wants to use this service be very cautious as after-sales service is kind of tricky...NEVER USE THIS SERVICE...rather invest your own time to install stuff!
I scheduled James to help me move, I already accommodated to his schedule, I changed it to 11 instead of 9. This guy I shall say, instead of cussing, canceled on me an hour before. If you are in the Georgia area DO NOT ask James to help you do anything. Should have known better. Still has not refunded my money, or really seemed to care. It's crazy how companies work today. No respect for THEIR customers.
A tasker was unable to commit to a time, so cancelled the task. With no work provided, I thought it was the end of the story. No! TaskRabbit charged me under $100 for absolutely nothing. The Tasker was unable to meet me or provide any service.
I am closing my account. This is no service for a person who has time sensitive needs. I scheduled a task online and the tasker cancels within mins. Task rabbit rescheduled me the next day even though I needed it done I was ok becuase my deadline to move was within a day. However that tasker cancels within mins. Now I am stuck with fees lost time and many other issues. BUT the reschulde and you know what happen that tasker cancels. Pointless heartless. DONT waste your time.

TaskRabbit has large amounts of venture capital funding behind it. And guess what, they want a big pay day on their investment. So, where does that big pay day come from? The hard work of the taskers/taskrabbits. I guess we can say taskrabbit is a fitting name; we are just rabbits to them.
I will NEVER use this service again! Waited an entire day for this guy to show up only to find that he would be three hours late and then when he arrived, he decided he didn't 'feel safe' because I was annoyed that he didn't bring the ladder that was needede. Seriously?
I hired what I though was a plumber, he came made a hole in my wall and told me he couldn't do the job, didn't put any of the shower fixtures on or clean up his mess and told me he would cancel the job on task rabbit and to just pay him for his gas on zelle. I did that and still had to pay for the task he didn't do. They would not refund me anything or accommodate me in anyway. I will never use them again!
Task Rabbit is an incompetent company. The first Tasker they assigned to build a daybed with a trundle was someone who had experience as a car washer and had only assembled three racks. They then arranged for someone with experience to come three days later but something went wrong with their app which canceled the tasker! Supervisor not available and still waiting to hear back... Hahahaha!

Taskers cancel on you 10 minutes before the scheduled time and when you contact the customer service they tell you go and book another task which it means you have to wait another day and god knows if the tasker show up. Taskrabbit sucks.
I've had 3 diifferent taskers no-show yard work projects and all TaskRabbit does is make you re-post, and insult you with a $10 credit.
The site and taskers are totally unreliable. Don't waste your time
I asked for a tv wall mount and put 3 screens on the window and he told me it's an hour job and charges 65 CAD per hour. I said ok and he came to my home and he was doing his work very very very slowly and intentionally delaying and made the task complete with 3.5 hours and he is asking me to do at 200CAD plus. And he is not feeling guilty and sitting in my home and asking me to pay if not he will not leave the home. In this case how we can handle it? Please suggest and I really feel very bad and painful moment.
