Ordered two big Avets. It took a while to get them and the details on the website were confusing (said I received when I hadn't) however when I called the staff was great as usual.
I ordered a new fishing reel on line and received it 8 days later from the States to Australia. Service could not have been better following a referral by a friend.
Tackle Direct is an easy go-to place for many of my tackle needs. They have most everything I need that I may not be able to get at my local tackle shop.
Items were shipped in a timely manner and in a box. I'm completely over the plastic bag thing. All items were in perfect shape. These folks don't disappoint.
I have made multiple email inquiries about two existing,(paid for) orders. Tackle Direct has not returned any response to these emails, nor has anyone ever called me in response as promised on their website.
Place my order with Tackle Direct for 2 SP Lures 10 days ago, my pay pal account was charged, sent a email where are my lures, the response was they are back ordered. Charged my pay pal account, knowing that didn't have the product that is unbelievable. I purchase them at Cabela's. Let see how long it takes to credit my account.
Initially my experience was very disappointing until Billy reached out to me regarding an issue I had with my LX MC Raptor. After our discussion I had a new found respect for Tackle Direct and their customer service. Billy sincerely went above and beyond to ensure I was completely happy and satisfied with my Avet reel. He did a great job in service recovery and prioritizing the customer needs regardless of the issue at hand. As a result, I am confident that I will be using Tackle Direct for all my future fishing needs! Thanks Billy! You are amazing!
Update 4 days later. I did not received a call the next day. So I call the following day and got Billy to inform me that he will have Chris call me back. Chris agree to send me a prepay shipping and resolve the issue by refund or exchange. I sent the rod back so let's see how this end.
Original review: Just got off the phone with Craig. I sent an email but got no reply so I made a call. Receive a fishing rod with bent blank. He said it is normal does not affect the function, but would anyone wants to pickup a bent rod while shopping for a fishing pole. Return shipping is gonna cost me $20. I am waiting to get a return call from them tomorrow and update this review. Otherwise, I will not be visiting or buying anything else from this place. I will share my experience with those around me also.
Good service fast delivery and exactly what I wanted! A friend recommended this Lews spinning rod as he fishes charters freshwater and salt water here in SC. Will enjoy hooking a big one on the finesse rod setup that I've done with it.
I'm staying in the Philippines presently and the country lacks comprehensive tackle stores. After an initial 'hiccup' because the billing address and shipping address on my credit card differed I was able to have everything I wanted sent from Tackle Direct. A very professional company I'd recommend to anyone (...and have already recommend to a number of friends).
Average or below. No clarity on shipping status, shipment splits or when to expect stuff that apparently wasn't available. Asked CS via phone to add something to an order only to find billed/shipped separately. Ok but definitely not my first choice to shop here again.
I got a great 2 for 1 deal on these Fin Nor reels.
They were delivered quickly and they look and feel amazing.
Since I ordered them in January I haven't had a chance to fish with them yet, but I will be getting out very soon now that stripers and winter flounder are open.
I initially ordered 10 of them. They only had I believe six in stock, and they sent them to me. They informed me that the remaining four would be sent to me as soon as possible. About two weeks later I received the other four. Great place to shop good prices quick deliveries. Excellent sell staff.
When I placed my order, I was quickly sent a email stating it may take additional time, that being said, I received the order in a short time!

My first order. Ordered 2 Tsunami Sapphire XT 11ft rods. Fast shipping, super light rods, They came in box with no damage. Well package thank you. It casts great put on rods 2 Penn pursuit iv 8000 reels with 20lb mono line. I would recommend them(Tackle Direct) to my friends great service. Thank You again. Phil
Just got back from my bluefin trip. The Owner rings and Spro swivels worked flawlessly. Went 5/5 on 150lbs+ BF. Captain said he doesn't see that often an I credit it to the Owner split rings and the Spro power swivels.
This is a real paradise for fishermen.
As I am the one, I decided to look at the assortment here. I didn't need any spinning, because i have the most advanced one, but as for the nets and lures... I ordered them here, because their range if quite big and it was interesting for me to stare at the monitor for a couple of hours, lmao.
On top of that, I now think of changing spinning reel. Yeah, i said I got one of the best spinnings, but i see there are some more fancier.
Speedy delivery and follow up on items that were delayed. Great service.
