I have made multiple email inquiries about two existing,(paid for) orders. Tackle Direct has not returned any response to these emails, nor has anyone ever called me in response as promised on their website.
Update 4 days later. I did not received a call the next day. So I call the following day and got Billy to inform me that he will have Chris call me back. Chris agree to send me a prepay shipping and resolve the issue by refund or exchange. I sent the rod back so let's see how this end.
Original review: Just got off the phone with Craig. I sent an email but got no reply so I made a call. Receive a fishing rod with bent blank. He said it is normal does not affect the function, but would anyone wants to pickup a bent rod while shopping for a fishing pole. Return shipping is gonna cost me $20. I am waiting to get a return call from them tomorrow and update this review. Otherwise, I will not be visiting or buying anything else from this place. I will share my experience with those around me also.
Had 2 rods sent up to alaska for a vacation fishing trip. One of the rods was complete garbage and not usable in any way. Guides where installed way out of line and some missing the ceramic parts of the guides. Cant believe that passed quality control and was sent out. I was counting on that rod. Will never order from you again your the worst.
Ordered several hundred dollars of tackle, 3 weeks later no delivery no tracking, three emails with promise to get answers 5mdays ago, pitiful business efficiency and customer service use some other site...
Order was received very timely and website makes it easy. My order was short two items that I guess were no longer in stock? I should be getting a $ credit for the missing items.

At the time of writing this comment I already have a second order placed with them. Delivery might take a while but fishing is all about patience.

As I am the one, I decided to look at the assortment here. I didn't need any spinning, because i have the most advanced one, but as for the nets and lures... I ordered them here, because their range if quite big and it was interesting for me to stare at the monitor for a couple of hours, lmao.
On top of that, I now think of changing spinning reel. Yeah, i said I got one of the best spinnings, but i see there are some more fancier.
Well after ordering something so simple I have waited for approximately three weeks I don't think that you should be able to sell somebody something that isn't in stock basically if you don't Have it in stock you should probably let me go somewhere else and purchase it very disappointing

Good service fast delivery and exactly what I wanted! A friend recommended this Lews spinning rod as he fishes charters freshwater and salt water here in SC. Will enjoy hooking a big one on the finesse rod setup that I've done with it.
I ordered a reel on 6/20 and there was a 7-14 business day wait on it, ok no problem. So business day 15 rolls around and I hear nothing back from them, I contacted them and asked about the order and the next day on business day 16, Kelly from cs said sorry its out of stock... WHY DOES IT TAKE 16 BUSINESS DAYS TO TELL ME THAT AN ITEM IS OUT OF STOCK?
I'm staying in the Philippines presently and the country lacks comprehensive tackle stores. After an initial 'hiccup' because the billing address and shipping address on my credit card differed I was able to have everything I wanted sent from Tackle Direct. A very professional company I'd recommend to anyone (...and have already recommend to a number of friends).
Average or below. No clarity on shipping status, shipment splits or when to expect stuff that apparently wasn't available. Asked CS via phone to add something to an order only to find billed/shipped separately. Ok but definitely not my first choice to shop here again.
Answer: Yes, other companies I have used for online purchases are much better with communications and customer service.
