T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

Purchased an iPhone 13 without being told there was no 5G service in my area. Reps are dishonest with no final corporate customer resolution being offered. Has become a seemingly deliberate ping-pong communication with the company's resolution Dept.

T-mobile home internet
June 18, 2022

I signed up 15 days trial for 5G Home internet service and it is where the nightmare started. After I signed up, I received an email from T-mobile saying I got $10 balance charged but the name is not my name. I could not login the t-mobile account at all, so I called customer service for support. They helped me setup account but I still could not login. Always got service not available after I login. The customers service told me it will work later on. I waited for another day and I still could not login, so I decided to cancel the trial service and I returned the device. But later on, I found T-mobile starts auto charge my credit card. I called the customer service again and they are having problem to refund the money back to the credit card and ask me to provide routing number of my bank. Not sure if T-mobile outsource all the customers support to India company. I will not use T-mobile again

I was with Sprint for years, I was told that my husband's phone was not 5G compatible that he was to get a phone for free. I was told this from Sprint and T-Mobile when I went into their store free was mentioned several times. I needed a new phone and I haven't had one in years I knew I qualified for an upgrade. I went into the local store they told me that I didn't qualify for an upgrade and that the only way I can get one is if I add another line of service. Untrained rude people in the store and horrible customer service. All they do is lie and hang up on you. Now I'm sending a bill for the phone because I switched companies, and they are also charging me a service fee and I haven't had service in months I try to explain this to customer service and she barely speaks English. Completely ridiculous charging me a service charge for service I have not had at all in months. I don't know how they stay in business the way they treat their customers! Absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with! I can't rate this company because they are negative they don't even deserve one star.

T-mobile company
June 15, 2022

The monthly charge can be lower than other companies, but the business form of the t-mobile is close to a scam. Don't play t-mobile.
For example, a few years ago, T-mobile local store told us
The Amazon Alex device is FREE many times. Initially, I said we did not want it. Then they charged more than $300 for that device.

Out of every data provider ive tried, t-mobile is the worst. Your data will cut out and lose service in times where you should have service. My phone will tell me i have full bars and it doesnt work. Plus studies have shown t-mobile provides the worst wireless connection services. It really shows! I have never been more frustrated and confused with a provider. From constant outages, miscommunication, complete lack of consistency, this is the worst i've dealt with. Not worth the prices they show; When it actually decides to work it is fairly alright, But the random outages ruin it and make this the worst service ever. Get T-Mobile if you like to be infuriated.

T-Mobile has the worst customer service. The customer service department act like they are $#*!ed or something. Ive called several times and went to store to get a billing issue resolved for being charged for services I never used. I would not recommend t mobile to anyone.

I have been calling 611 4 times trying to unlock my phone to switch provider.
They had told me they had resolved the issue each time but they never had.
I had to spend almost 1 hour each time.

Stealing money
June 11, 2022

I paid insurance for 11 months for them to deny all claims. The guy at the store has 1 story the guy on the 800# has another then the insurance denial do not even fit the facts. They charged me 136 for a phone I could have gotten elsewhere for 69. Criminal enterprise this company is. Leaving asap.

A bunch of crooks
June 10, 2022

In the last month, we have been charged over $200 for telephone calls we were assured would be free. They made a major concession and charged us "only" $180. I attempted to purchase a new phone from them yesterday and was informed today that the order did not go through and I have to start all over again. Now the price has miraculously increased by 10%.

Day one my phone was broke out of the box, told my bill out the door would be one thing then change to a different price. After Tmobile said they see the issue and admitted it was on them refussed to fix the issue. Then hangs up on the call. I spend hours over and over for a new person to get on the phone to fix the issues all of it. (There is a BUNCH!) I spent a LOT out of pocket to get the phones and lines. Only to be hung up on amd let down. HORRABLE!

This is the absolute worse customer service I have ever had to deal with. Quoted multiple different prices and then they tried to charge my bank account almost 500$ without any authorization! How is it possible they are even in business!

Scammers
June 8, 2022

Please avoid this carrier!

I was with t-mobile because of a promotion that was offered. That promotion was switch to T-Mobile and get a iPods and a watch for free. I decided to get the phone but after a couple months the monthly bill was getting higher and higher. I'm a 15year disable veteran of the United States Navy and with this world every penny matters. So I decided to pay my bill and pay the phone off. I called customer service and it took 2 hours but we came up with a total we both agree. Under my understanding after the payment is paid I was completely done with T-Mobile.
I switch carriers the same day for a lower bill. I tried to give the phone to my daughter but found out it was a network lock on it. I called and that's when I realized that I was mislead and lied to. That's not the icing on the cake but I also was treated horrible today 6/8/22. I had a manager stated that I was scam out the payment but found it 10 mins later after I said I was go leave a bad review. I had one manager to hang up in my face, but to make things any worse I had to deal with a customer service rep that was awful with customer service and he tried to keep forcing info out of me as if he was doing the supervisors job.

I would rate 0 if I could. I spoke with someone for an hour about why I had two payments for two different devices on my account. I only have one device. I traded in my old device. They continued to tell me. I still have to pay for the second device, but kept changing their reasoning as to why. I am enrolled in the JUMP program and always have been, so have never had an issue trading in phones before that were not paid off. I ended up speaking with the supervisor Bernard who did absolutely nothing to resolve this issue. Kept making excuses as to why I had to go into a store to get it resolved which makes absolutely NO sense. Do not ever speak with these people. They are useless and provide no relief to any ongoing issue.

3 experts said I was all ready for my Europe. Phone didn't work at all in Europe! They never unlocked the phone! Also left a wrong blocking setting on. Couldn't use phone, texting, maps, directions, GPS for car rental, translate, currency converter, train schedules, call a taxi. Nothing! They said it wasn't their fault that their 'experts' didn't know what do even though I talked to 3 different people before my trip. After almost ruining a 35 day once in a life time trip, they just gave me $100 back and said no apology. No correction to uneducated employees, management wouldn't call back to me when I tried to escalate my complaint. Very very dissatisfied.

We have been Sprint customers since 1990. I was a Sprint executive and we enjoyed good service for a long time. Along comes this merger with T-Mobile and what a circus. Do not work with tele reps. Insist asking for high level techs. The people that answer the support lines will just drive you in circles and accomplish nothing. I have been on the phone for probably 20 hours over the last 3 days, We can only use wifi calling, never had that issue before for 12 years here. So when there was a 6 hour internet outage in town we could not make or get calls or texts or could place a 911 call if we had to. For 4 months they keep telling us the tower is being worked on. In fact, their 5G coverage is terrible. They wanted to make it up, so they said they would give us 4 Samsung watches, 2 hot spots and 2 tablets free with no monthly plan expense. Well the hotspots were ok, but the watches would be $15 each per month. I did a text chat and have it recorded that there is "no worry" and the credits promised will come in 2 billing cycles. I asked if not, then I can return this stuff with no problem because that would be way beyond the 14 day return policy. I have "Yes, no problem" recorded from the chat. So 4 hours today they played with the phones here doing the same thing that has been done a dozen time to no avail. "Alvin from tech support will call you this afternoon" I was told. Well Alvin called, said he was going to take care of it and the call dropped in the middle of his sentence. NO call back. They sent a CellSpot to allow us to "get a better signal in the house" and it is a joke because all it does is use wifi calling! I am going to spend another few days and then we are going to take the phones and all this stuff to the TMobile store and return it and switch to Verizon.

Phones high priced for low quality. My phone is still under warranty. But they will not take it back because it has a very minor scratch that can probably be buffed out.

T-Mobile is t-rash
June 6, 2022

Bought a new phone at one of their stores a couple of weeks ago. Associate said they're gonna switch me over from Sprint to T-Mobile because the transition is inevitable, and service and rates would remain the same. Now I can't access sites I used to frequent with my old phone under my previous plan. Looking into Verizon and AT &T because T-Mobile is straight garbage.

The worst service l ever had.
I had Sprint for over 15 years and had to switch to T-Mobile (not by choice of course) and l didn't find Sprint to begin with to have the best service but at least the customer service experience l had with them wasn't that bad. L was hoping that with the merger l will get better reception but wishful thinking, l got a much worse reception and much much worse customer service.
I had been suffering with bad reception in my area, can not call my kids, have dropped calls, can not email or send pictures easily, have to step out of my house during the middle of the winter to be able to place a call and even that didn't work all the time.
I called three times and each time spend more than an hour with a T-Mobile representative (out if the country) and each time l was promised a booster box to better my reception but to no avail, no booster box ever was delivered.
I called many T-Mobile stores in my area trying to find a solution but no one can help except l was told that l need to upgrade my phone to a 5g newer one since l still have only a 3g or 4g (not sure) and by doing that my problem will disappear. The store got me upgraded to another phone and after paying $370 (that was just the difference for the upgrade, l supposedly saved a whopping $1000) and was assured that l will have a much better reception and no more dropped calls. Guess what? The reception was even worse than before and l am having more dropped calls thank before and now l have to, almost every time, step out of my house to, try, to make a call.
Most deceiving agents (must be commission bases), worst service ever.
Wouldn't recommend it to anyone and wish there was a choice for NO star.
