T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

The pro: they have good coverage in my mountainous, rural area. The cons follow. In contrast to their recent video ads, T-Mobile sticks you with higher and higher cost plans. If your older phone dies, they won't let you continue that cheaper plan and will only offer you a more costly one. If your older phone becomes antiquated (e.g. Like with a 3G one), T-Mobile will force you into a more costly plan with an updated phone. T-Mobile always has an excuse to say bye-bye to cheaper plans, so, fear not, you will be paying more for your service in the future. T-Mobile will find a way. Next con: problems accessing your account on their website. I'm not the only pay-as-you-go customer who suddenly can't access their account online anymore and am stuck calling in to make payments. The tech rep said they'd fix it, but, after months, still no access. It seems like T-Mobile is trying to force customers to enroll in their automatic payment plan, and that just doesn't work well for those with wildly variable or lower incomes. So I've ditched both of my prior phone services with them for cheaper ones at another company with coverage that's just as good.

Family package friendly
February 9, 2023

The reviews on here are insane. My thoughts are way different, with T-mobile even the value for your money is way better. You can get up to 8 lines for you and your family, home internet, plus so much more added for the price. I am glad I switched to T-monile I have 6 lines, home internet, Netflix, paramount, apple TV plus every Tuesday they have surpize rewards all in a one bundle package for the price as well. Thier app is good to because you can let your self or everyone on the plan with you have access to make changes and see what's going on in the plan, and example say I add something to the account but thiers other people on the plan with me they will also be able to see when a change is made if you have it set up that away which of course if your not hiding anything that shouldn't be a problem and my daughter likes that part because she will text me and ask did you change this and she can change things as well anyone you allow can but you gotta be able to trust them not to go crazy on the plan to give them that access. The home internet it's good to and I like the modem is not so big it takes up to much space. I do recommend T-mobile.

Worst customer service
February 8, 2023

Spent over 4 hours on the phone with t Mobil I have 4 lines wanted to eliminate one of them, talked to 8 different people to finally get it done. People on the line spoke with a very heavy accent which I had a very hard time to understand, gave my information to each person and the next one asking the same questions. Very frustrating. I will be looking for a different company to switch soon

Again, Ron don't walk from this company they will sell you plans that they do not share all the information with and will choose to share that information with you months down the road when you are locked and they tell you there's no contract but they have a contract. They lied to us time and time again and now we are locked in for two years to a shut phone company with terrible coverage, and a company that does not stand behind what they have done wrong

T-Mobile blocked my wife's usage of her text messaging due to a strange policy about group texting. It pertains to the system recognizing to many group texts and or too many recipients within a group text. Whether it was them another party group texting and tagging, or my wife, who does a lot of group texting was the party, T-Mobile's system will automatically BLOCK TEXT MESSAGE USAGE. After speaking with customer service, it was determined because of their policy she can not text now for a week and a half. But we're still being forced to pay for the unlimited texting. In all the years of having a cell phone service, like 20 years of having four different service providers… NEVER has this happened. I strongly recommend that you don't bother with T-Mobile. They suck!

Just say it.
February 7, 2023

Don't let the TMobile promotions confuse you. After adding up all the credits and debits, I ended up getting 250.00 Dollars credit for my iPhone 11 pro max. I would've kept it or sold it on eBay for 650.00 Dollars, Only if I had known...

My name is Keith Marks i now have a t mobile account not by choice loved sprint. Terrible customer service. Rep will tell you anything just to get off the phone. I have bank statements showing my bills with sprint was up to date. 6 months later i get a bill stating that I'm passed do. I had been making my payments on time but no one told me or called. Took my payment and put it towards sprint bill when I've never been behind. T mobile had no answer to any of my questions. But to say I've never paid them when I've been paying them since NOV or whenever the switch was (t mobile has no clue). You have to call sprint but why I'm not with sprint anymore. Rep told me if i didn't pay on he would send it to collection to scare me when t mobile didn't even investigate the charges with my bank statement. These guys took the easy way out just to get a new customer. Not to mention service wasn't the best. Goes in and out of service. Verizon has agreed to buy out my contract with t mobile now that customer service. Have a blessed one

WASTED 35 MINUTES doing chat 2/7/2023 with Michael to order 15 Day "FREE" trial of 5G home internet service. I say "wasted" because it is NOT really free (false advertising by T-Mobile). If you refuse to pay a fee for some supposed taxes on the service, your order will be canceled. Furthermore, if/when you want to return the device, you MUST get a human on the phone to obtain prepaid return label. On 2/6/2023 I tried 3 TIMES to get a human on the phone at T-Mobile to place order and got a busy signal, all 3 times. If you can't get a human on the phone to return it, I was advised to go to a T-Mobile store. FYI: Last time I had a problem with a T-Mobile billing error, I had to make 2 trips and wasted almost 2 hours on the ordeal.

T-mobile sucks
February 6, 2023

I have had t-mobile for a long time. The customer service used to be okay. Now it sucks. For the second time they have switched me to paperless billing without my permission. They say that I requested it. B.S.! Now I'm sitting on customer service for ever while leaving this review. So much for being a commercial customer with several lines of service.

T-Mobile is a scam company.
February 6, 2023

Coverage is not great. Bought insurance for my devices. One broke so I got a claim approved. A couple months later they suddenly charged my account an outrageous fee for not returning the broken device. They never informed me they wanted it back until long after I threw it out. They will not resolve it so I'm discontinuing my service.

Buyer Beware
February 5, 2023

I wanted to switch to T-mobile a year ago. I payed for a sim card that I ended up not using. I never activated my sim card, and I never used their services. I kept calling to resolve it, but they kept charging me despite my effort to cancel or to explain I never activated the service to begin with. They ended up charging me $700 for a service that I had never used. I tried to resolve this multiple times to no avail. Then they sold my debt to a debt collection agency. Please learn from my mistake and do not conduct business with this shady company.

If you are paying 50 for extra new line over 24 months, you are then paying 1200 for a 350 chrome book. We ask them to help us out... First time in 16 years she ran for full bill instead of the back balance, then they put a hold on our bank so we could not process until we either changed banks or drove cash to store.
We are now looking for new service and all our 20 family members are also leaving them.
We have there wifi, work great till this 5g upgrade and now our kids have problems with gaming.

Due to the ineffectual auto pay system of T mobile that keeps claiming that my billing address is incorrect and that it's my bank's fault monthly payments are declined; whereas RBC BANK says T-mobile hadn't completed their transactions; all this over the period of the last four months. I just can't deal with the fallout of T-mibile's dysfunctional auto pay system any longer.

TMobile SUCKS! I have been a customer for 17 yrs. EVERY TIME I call in to upgrade they always want you to ADD A LINE! I already have 5 lines, I mean how many lines does 1 person need?! The reps always SAY they appreciate your service but they NEVER show it. The supervisors are smart alecs and never try to make the customer happy. I am looking to go to a different carrier since the company I work for offers a discount cause you certainly won't get any discounts from T-Mobile.

They set me up with a new iPhone, two apple watches, and cell service for each.

I live in Alaska, a state their cell service doesn't function. I don't know how i could have talked to 3 representatives about my plan/purchases without any of them telling me this.

When I called them, they told me that I still needed to pay my service bill, but that I could return the devices for a refund and cancel my billing afterward.

I returned the devices 5 MONTHS ago. I still get service and equipment bills in the mail. I never received a refund for hundreds of dollars. I have called many times, they'll tell me that the return was received but they need to process something that will take 60 days, 60 days pass and I call again, they tell me that they'll have a manager call me back in 3-5 days, I get a call 5 days later that they'll call me on Monday instead, I won't hear from them so I call and get put on hold for an hour total before they tell me the manager isn't in so there's nothing they can do, etc.

They're a horribly organized company, I would like for them to be sued based on other reviews about their malicious charges/return practices.

If T-mobile isnt a total scam, they might as well be.

My husband and I went to a t-mobile store 6 months ago to add a line to his plan and get me a new phone. The promotion they had going on was add a new line and get a free phone. The phone would be absolutely free. We would had to pay the services but my phone device would be "FREE"
We paid at the store 400$ total for my husband t0 get an upgrade and adding a new line. We were also told that the first two months of our new bill would be around $250.00, and we accepted that. After the first two months, our bill stayed at the same amount. We called and got moved around from 4 different times to different representatives. They were charging us for my new phone even tho it was supposed to be free. We were then told that they didn't know why we were told that because it wasn't free and we would be charged for it. Plus the 400$ we originally paid at the store was put toward my new phone and we should receive a refund. We went from being told we would get the refund asap, to it would be returned to us in 24 months. AFTER many many hours of arguing and talking to supervisor after supervisor, we got our bull down to $176.00. We were fine with that. BUT for the last couple months every time we pay our bill, it shows the NEXT month's bill is right back to being over 200$. So we have to call over and over again to get it fixed. Being told it's fixed and won't change and thinking we finally got it cleared up and then the very next month it goes right back up. $#*!ing ridiculous that we have to deal with this and t-mobile can't get their $#*! together. NEVER AGAIN will we ever get t-mobile. My family and I are done with this crap. Never have we ever had to deal with this much unnecessary stress and bull$#*! over a phone or service.
