T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

If your were a sprint customer when t mobile took them over, you WILL get screwed if you haven't already!
They ruined my number, moved it to a business account, I called and of course didn't get anyone who speaks English. They supposedly fixed everything. Now I can't get any app, website etc to produce a bill! Just spins... come on you morons can't figure out how to get your website and app to work? I tried to get away from these dorks but they won't allow it, I've already paid everything off and they STILL won't help! Don't ever put your account on auto pay. Theyre not even close to a professional company!

They lie to u when u need a new phone. They tell u it is free when u trade-in. Ur old phone. However they sneak in a $4.00/month charge. This is done so if u don't stay with them for 2 years, they charge u the total unpaid amount of new phone remaining. This after they tell u you are not on a 2 year contract. Real sneaky way of locking a customer to them for 2 years. Two years of very poor service! Their 5 star rating is 1.68.

T-Mobile is absolutely the worst cell phone / internet company in the United States! I have had their half Arse service for a year now. T-Mobile SUCKS! My old Cricket phone had wayyy better service! My dial-up internet in 1994 was more reliable! T-Mobile has NONE of their own transmission lines or any other such thing. They pay a discount rate for a mass purchase to the Legitimate cell service providers ( Verizon, ATT, etc...) and charge premium rates as if they were actually providing ANYTHING. Yes T-Mobile pays the REAL service providers a small amount to LEACH off of their transmission lines. Didi I mention that T-Mobile Sucks?!?!?

We changed from AT&T to T-Mobile only because they offered two free iPhones and the monthly cost was supposed to be low. Instead there are hidden costs such as international calls (besides others). Which per the contract was included in the monthly bill.
Instead, we were charged almost $200 for a 30 minute phone call. When we called the support line, we got the runaround and they claimed that it was free only if you made calls outside the United States to local cell phones in another country there was no charge. This is not specified in the contract, and hence should've been reversed, and given credit for the entire amount which they did not. In addition, we were being charged for the Internet services, which we did not have even though we returned the server the same day we purchased the phones. Hence, they should've been zero charge, which ultimately was reversed but still we had to jump through hoops to get it done. It involved several visits to the local store to reverse the charges and almost 4 weeks before it was reversed. As far as reception of voice calls and drop calls it is abominable. They do not have the coverage that they claim to have in the so-called 5G network.
If someone is contemplating on switching services I would strongly advise against using T-Mobile.
I would give them a zero rating, if they were such a scale

Not only does their phone coverage terrible, but customer service is non existent. Just try to find a support number or email address for help. They are the worst I have ever dealt with. Expect long hold times and lots of run around! They auto deduct from my account and will not stop even though I have paid in full. I had to call the BBB and Consumer Protection in order to get them to stop taking money from my account they are not entitled to. The store says we can not help you, you must call corporate. When you call corporate they say you must go to the store! Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

HOME INTERNET
July 5, 2023

I picked up a modem at the local store to try the home Internet service. I did the trial. And returned my modem before my trial period was over. I did have to pay an activation fee to get this started but they told me it would be refundable if it did not work. I was OK with this. The thing that I am very concerned with is they charged me for a month of service I did not even use a month of service with them and I tried to take care of this through customer service and I am still trying to get my money back for service I didn't use. It was all returned to them during trial time. They are taking from the consumer's and make it very difficult to get your money back.

Online Order
July 5, 2023

I ordered a new phone online as they didn't have it at the store. It's been a week and I still don't receive it. It is lost somewhere with UPS and nobody knows where it is. T-Mobile takes zero responsibility, UPS solution is "keep tracking it"...
I opened a live chat with T-Mobile, in which one representative told me the phone would be here on Monday. It is Wednesday and still no phone. Of course, they already charged my debit card with the upgrade. They ask for a signature at delivery. Am I supposed to stay at home forever waiting for a PHONE?
When I asked to cancel the purchase, the answer was "You can't as it is already with UPS".
Never ever again.

I contacted T-Mobile this morning trying to open a prepaid auto pay business account. My phone checked out fine. Went to the cart to try and pay and I kept getting a technical difficulty pop up. So I called into the business center. Spoke to a very nice lady. I can't believe they are having such technical difficulties they cannot sign up a brand new business account. My confidence is destroyed! My first impression is unbelievably negative! And I can't believe the Federal communication commission allows this with every single cell phone service provider. I have had them all in the last two years. They all stink! We as Americans are total freaking idiots to allow this! We are the power! We decide who stays in business!

I was initially interested in the Essentials 55 plan for $40/month with auto bill pay. The sales representative showed me, in writing, how I could get many more features, plus a free phone, for $55/month (via monthly reduction of the cost of the phone for 24 months), with the Go5G 55 plan. After signing up for the more costly plan, I learned that some of the features I had been promised were not included in that plan; they were only available on the Go5G Plus 55 plan, which would cost $70/month. I went back to the retail store three times, spoke with the sales rep and the store manager, who both assured me they would "fix" the problem. I later found out they had changed my plan to Go5G Plus 55 without my permission. I than phoned T-Mobile and spoke with two individuals (one being a manager) and was told the only thing they could do for me was to switch me back to the Go5G 55 plan, without the previously promised features. I have not been using T-Mobile long enough to comment on the wireless service.

I have been with a few carriers, but T-Mobile has had, by FAR, THEE best service. I see some of these reviews, and they remind me of when my father complains about his phone not working, as he doesn't know how to use it, mostly because he purchased a brand new Moto 6 expecting to get iPhone performance. I Started with T-mobile purchasing/paying off, an iPhone 11… it's been roughly 3 years without having any issues. Not ONE. The only problem I have right now is purchasing a new phone while staying with T-Mobile. Though the deals are not great, but I will stay with T-Mobile for the foreseeable future. Verizon, AT&T, no other service carriers comp air to T-mobile if you want to pay off a new phone while having great service. If you are going to buy a $50 Moto G, or Galaxy A-03, you should expect what a $50 phone can do in performance.
The service is not what is holding you back, it is your phones $3 cpu. You expect all phones to work exactly the same…$50 phones should work just as well as a brand new $1400 iPhone right?
This is the problem with the world, you all got participation trophies as kids, so you expect to do less while receiving the same reward as the teams mvp. There is a reason iPhones are $1000+ and the Moto G is $50. Using a $50 phone with T-Mobile is like buying 93 octane gas for your 1987 dodge shadow… it doesn't make your ride just as pleasant as driving in a Mercedes simply because it sounds expensive. I understand many can not afford monthly payments to pay off phones, but those who can not do so, or having buyers remorse, should not complain pointing fingers at the service. I am so sick of everyone's entitlement spewing from their pores. I get heated when children do not understand the world, so I digress…. My reason for 4 stars, and if T-Mobile is reading, please come out with better plans for existing customers. Also, I am currently using Verizon for home internet as T-Mobile does not yet offer service in area of *******, please expand 5g home internet, and give existing customers a little bit of a better deal on phones… please, and thank you - John, Holmdel NJ

Staff on the phone and web chat is very rude and do not help at all. This company used to be less expensive but is not anymore. Verizon or AT&T are looking better everyday.

This company is horrible. Their customer service people must be on drugs. Either they don't speak English very well or they're dumb. They spend have the time repeating the same information. It took me over 45 minutes to add international calling!
I just upgraded my review to two stars because someone from Team Mobile called me back and told me they weren't going to charge me for the international call and my international pass... which was very nice. However, I didn't get back the hour I spent on the phone and the other countless minutes trying to figure out their website issues. But, at least they tried to make amends!

If I could it would be zero. Worst ever. Had service since March still can't count on it being there when I need it. 5g my az. I never have over 1 bar maybe 2. No GPS every other time I go to use it. They sent me 2 cases for an S9 knowing mine were Ultra 22s. But the won't take them back and they charge me for them every month. They were to rebate 1600 on phones which they never did. We submitted information twice as they told us but never received anything. I spent days on the phone with tech service. Never get anything resolved. I tried to go to Verizon, but tmobile said one phone was realeased to go and one wasn't even though they were paid off when we came to tmobile. I suppose I will have to hire an attorney and sue them for false advertising and charging for 5G when they don't even have it. They say the tower is down. How long does it take to get a tower up and running again? Worst company ever. BEWARE.
