T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

You have heard tmobile sucks, from drop calls, missed calls, no service, and on and on. They are all true. In fact they are so bad there is nothing left for them to screw up. They are number 1 at screwing up. At least they are number 1 at something. But if you want a carrier that works stay the hell away from tmibile! I've tried them all and tmobile is the worst!
Had used straight talk for years. Decided to pay extra to get 5G. Worse decision I've ever made. On a good day their 5G is no better than straight talk. Problem is there are more bad days than good days. A lot of time you have nothing. Now im stuck with horrible service for the next 2 years. Do not waste your money on t-mobile!
A little over a month ago I went to my local t mobile store to see why my for would have sos. They told me it was due to having an out of date phone. The phone in question was a iPhone X. I was past due for a upgrade and knew it was needed. Once I agreed with the new upgrade and was getting ready to leave they go in the back with another bag and tell me it's a free promotion with the upgrade. Free home 5g wifi. Once again I asked what my future bill would be they assured me it would just be the cost of the upgrade which would be a little over $20 a month. I even asked once the promotion was over what would it cost me and they once again told me nothing it's free. Well I just got my new bill in and it's over $100 more a month. I called tm mobile today to explain how I was told it was a free promotion and the guy over the phone told me they were mistaken and it would be an additional $57 a month. There was no free promotion at the time and after this month it would drop down to $35 a month. How is that even legal to do? Do the workers get commission on this type of stuff? They literally just gave me the bag after they finished setting up the new phone. I feel like I was scammed.
Took them 3 months and numerous phone calls for them to getting billing set up correctly and to apply a rebate
So, decided to make the move and drop Optimum internet and take advantage of T Mobile internet for $50 a month,AUTOPAY ONLY TO MY CREDIT CARD,Contract stated NEVER A PRICE INCREASE. Well, not even a Year Later(9 months exactly) i get an Email stating they will no longer accept credit card payments, ONLY Debit or Your Bank account! If You still use Your gredit card You don't recieve the discount anymore and the price goes up $5 more to $55 per month or $60 bucks for the Year! This is called BREAKING THE CONTRACT BY THEM! NEVER an increase is what THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT I HAVE STATES. BAD BUSINESS HERE! And its not just me guys! They should have "Grandfathered" us with the contracts already and left us alone and implemented their changes to NEW CUSTOMERS,NOT CUSTOMERS UNDER CONTRACT ALREADY! BAD business move and JST NOT RIGHT. Be careful of Them!
I filed a claim with Assurant (T-mobile insurance provider) for damaged phone. Provided all requested information multiple times. Was passed back and forth between T-mobile and Assurant customer service reps multiple times over several months. Each time I was told a different reason why the claim was denied or some other information was needed to process it. I was told multiple times that I would be contacted within 24 hours but never was. They use stall tactics and evasive techniques to wear people down and make them give up and go away. I have wasted countless time and money on this "service". Just filed a BBB complaint. Would give them a 0 rating if it wasn't for the decent sales reps at the T-mobile store who actually tried to help me.
We've had t-mobile home internet for 6 months, and during those 6 months, we only had service for 12 hours a day. Every night, at exactly 10:30pm, our home internet would slow down to <1 mbps, and would stay there until around 7 am. I'm an insomniac, with two jobs; one of which I *need* wifi for.
We would call T-Mobile every time it would cut off; they'd have us factory reset the gateway multiple times, had us switch out SIM cards, and gave us months free because they kept lying about a tower in our area.
It took us an entire hour today just to get them to cancel the service, and they refused to put us through to a higher up.
I don't recommend this service to anyone, unless you're willing to pay for phone lines, too. According to T-Mobile's website, phone users take precedent when the towers get "congested".
T-mobile has changed for the worse this year. They use to be the best in the land, but it seems that their customer service, their coverage, and their newest negative scheme (to not accept credit cardss for autopayments) have all led up to them being one of the worse phone services that there is. As soon as my contract on my phones are up I'm considering going to a cheaper carrier that offers the same coverage and promotions. I do NOT recommed T-mobile as your carrier.
T-Mobile advertises their customer friendly policies and their price lock guarantee. But recently T-Mobile has raised their prices by $10 if you do not give them a debit or bank card for monthly charges. That means if you previously used a credit card to pay your monthly bill and even if T-Mobile never had an issue with that method of payment from a long term customer, they will eliminate their $10 discount, effectively raising their charges in violation of their own price lock guarantee.
These piece of $#*! thieves had an associate tell me my account with them was "unfindable" and "didn't exist" when I tried to cancel my useless plan that wouldn't let me in my own phone, yet kept taking money from me! No one knows what the hell they're doing and tells you to go resolve your problem in an app that's been unusable for MONTHS. I had to cancel my bank card to get them to stop stealing from me! Most $#*!tiest "customer service" I've ever had.
Unreliable, dozens of dropped calls. Interrupted calls. Went to store to try & speak to rep extremely rude.
The worst cell service I have ever had. My phone drops calls constantly, reception sucks. When I text it changes my settings and my text messages don't go through till I send again. They shut my phone off on second month when I had payed for Two months in advance. When I get home my phone drops t mobile service and tries to connect to my home internet. I have never had worst service or phone in my life. I had government free phone was better than this $#*!
Terrible customer service, incompetent. They sell faulty phones. Dropped calls/ can't make calls in urban areas while overcharging. App is not usable 9/10 of the time. Customer service reads from script and are careless in resolving issues. Not worth the headache.
I went by a T-Mobile store to sign up for 2 of the 55-Plus phone lines. The lines that are advertised to be $27.50/month for each line would have cost $110.00 per month for 2 lines, plus $30.00 per line for activation. Not exactly as advertised. The FTC should do something about their advertising, and T-Mobile should be ashamed.
The worst experience I've ever had in my entire life of 47 years one of two lines and home internet which was two free phones 3 hours on the phone with the first guy on the first day and then countless hours from day one day four day 20 still don't have my phone or Internet straightened out was lied to by managers by customer service was promised this that and the other one person says one thing another person says another thing so if you choose T-Mobile may the Lord look over you because they will hustle you they will take money from your account that they don't tell you about I would advise any other phone company than T-Mobile by far the worst experience I've ever been in liars and hustlers is all they are
I've contacted T-Mobile on 3 different occasions over one month. Each technical support person promised to send me a home cell booster device. NOT ONE of these individuals have followed through. Each time I call they promise to OWN the call and resolve the request, but NONE of them have ever actually done nothing. Their customer service is just a bunch of BS.
My home is rural, my phone service from t mobile is absolutely terrible, I can't even get constant 3g from a TMobile or us cellular tower. I went out and bought a at&t prepaid phone and the service is actually 4g LTE speeds, with a constant connection. If you live in the southern Maryland area at&t crushes TMobile coverage and service speeds. Screen shots are the service I get from TMobile sitting on my front porch.
I recently purchased a new iphone (14 pro max) and this entire process has been unnecessarily stressful. Apparently the 14 doesn't have a sim card slot. So i'd assume that apple would make this change for connivence. But, after arriving at the tmobile store to have them transfer my line, they tell me they couldn't because I HAVE to have a specific person do that for me (My phone plan is under my mom's business plan). It makes no sense to be because what if that person doesn't work for the company anymore? They're telling me theres really nothing they could do to help with the situation. I also did have to turn in the phone on the same day for differed trade-in because it was the last day. (couldn't do it earlier because of another variety if issues with the phone) The associate girl tells me "oh you can still do that but you wont have a device to use". Anyways, if I, I'd go start a new phone plan somewhere else.
I have been with Tmobile for over 14 years. Usually no problems and the customer service had always been great. In recent months I started a job at a company near Downtown Tampa. This location near the Buccaneers Stadium. Since i moved to work at this location the service has been awful, no internet and calls have been dropping. I have called multiple mullite times, with moment the tell me we will call you back with no call back or the issue has been resolve keep using it and call back if any problem persist. This last interaction they told me that looking at the address provided the area had been modernized that I should not be having the problem any further, but the reason I called Tmobile at the moment was BECAUSE I was having the issue STILL, but NO impossible I was still having a problem he had just told me the towers were modernized. Sadly at this point I'm waiting to pay off what I have left on my devices and sadly ill say goodbye to Tmobile, I need my service working and at this time its not. I wont be calling back to try and solve this issue, its simply a waste of time since even managers have not provided call backs.

Answer: This is typical of t-mobile. It will not let me leave a review.
Answer: T-Mobile will let you keep your old number... IF IT IS AVAILABLE. I do not know the requirements or rules, but years ago, I was allowed to keep a number I had had for years past.
Answer: See, your other customers see the same thing. In plain words, you suck ass.
Answer: Better Business Bureau is the only way to force an american to talk to you
