I rented a van for 650 for a week. I bought collision insurance from expedia I go pick up the car they leave me at the airport 45 minutes then they come and pick us ilup go to the office only to find out that must buy liability insurance for $650 and when I refused they said they would cancel the rentals. Then after they cancel they refuse to refund my money and they kept my $650. Will report to state general attorney and the credit card company
Crooks stay away from this company they will screw you my rental was 700$, they pump it up to $1550 horrible crooks and most website wont let you leave a negative review
Biggest SCAMMERS ever.
We rented a car for 3 weeks, we kept it in excellent condition and even cleaned it from inside and outside despite the fact they gave us the car dusty. They come up with a claim that the car has some small bump, which in in fact an imaginary thing, because they have NO proof that it was didn't exist before we rented it.
Both sides took pictures in the dark garage upon picking up the car, when we brought back the car it was checked outside when it's daylight and super sunny. They charged us 300 EURO for something we didn't do and they can't proof. BIGGEST SCAMMER company in Lisbon. Avoid at any cost!
Crooks, do not hire from them. Unprofessional and dodgy staff. Your details are not safe with them. They will make an excuses to pay them and if you dont, they will find a way. Bunch of asian kids running this business.
Rented Surprice through Priceline when I flew into Orlando Fl. Landed at 6am at the rental car counter at 6:40am just to be told "we do not rent to Florida residence!" When I asked why she just said its against our company policy. This to me makes NO sense. WHY? Now I am in my home state, my car is in Arizona because of work, I have a family emergency now I can't get home because we don't rent to Florida residence? I will never use Priceline or Surprice rental car ever again!
I arrive to the milan malpensa airport. They were the only one does not have office in the airport. No pre information on shuttle etc. managed to call and organize a shuttle to their place. I gave my documents (uS driving licence) and i have been told if i do not have translation of my driving licence i con not rent. After than they said they may sollve it with extra 350 euros payment for insurance and paperwork. I did not pay and did not rent already prepaid 100 euros is my problem to solve besides all the hassele finding another car rental company etc. They are organized Con artists
Dreadful experience and service. Firstly they took ages to pick me up at the airport. Then they charged the car I booked to a cheaper alternate. On return there was no transport back to the airport but finally one of the staff drove me to another terminal instead, citing the traffic was bad. Now after 3 months I'm still waiting for the return of my deposit, endless emails and phone calls. All I get is lies and stalling tactics.
Please do your research and you will understand that Surprice will do anything to rip you off, either via additional insurance, retaining deposits, fraudulent vehicle damage claims. I witnessed their rep at Heathrow actually bullying another family and refusing to help them with their luggage.
Additionally, they simply won't respond to any complaints. I have now had to get a solicitor involved to take action against this company. It is owned by Sadan Ahmad Khan and his family. Stay away!
I returned the car and realized that the company is still holding £1500 from my credit card. I have contacted the company twice, and their response was that there is nothing they can do and that I have to wait for 14 days. I have rented cars for the last 20 years, and this is the first time this has happened. Never again.
This scam company will charge you for a micro cosmetic mark on your car not "previously" recorded. Avoid at all costs and use a more mainstream reputable rental company. If you do rent from them, take lots of high resolution photos of every inch of the car as proof of pre-existing "damages" that they could extort from you… buyer beware!
This has been my worst car rental experience ever. They confirmed a reservation for an economy car with automatic transmission. Upon pick up I was informed the only automatic transmission available was in their most expensive category (something they had told the couple before us also, so this is systematic) and we would need to pay significantly more for our two day rental. When I tried to explain that my reservation was confirmed weeks ago and while I was not set on the size of the car I was set on the type of transmission so expected them to deliver this to me, the counter staff proceeded to yell at me for a full 15 minutes, interrupting me every single time I tried to get in a word. DO NOT EVER rent from them. They are frauds.Oh and we have a voice recording of the entire episode
Do your research before booking with this company! They have a lot of hidden fees and false advertising. A mid size vehicle for 10 days in Rome was supposed to cost us $400.00 ended up costing us $1000.00. Additionally, they advertise for 24/7 shuttle service but they DO NOT OFFER that service from the airport to their rental office. We tried to return the car at 7:00am but they did not open until 8:00am. We had a flight to catch so we had to call for a ride. Terrible service!
Rented from priceline for 126 that was supposed to be the cost of my rental which was prepaid they charged an additional 160 they said that the 126 was a partial payment! Then after my trip they charged me an additional 90$ for tolls that I paid cash for. This company will rip you off do not rent from them!
Deceitful and abhorrent, they have no integrity whatsoever and lying in my face; so they don't return my safety deposit, this is recent at Dalaman airport, December 2022. Beware and do not use these people. Very rude and unprofessional.
I've hired cars in the past in Italy, Greece, Spain, UK without any issues. Sadly in Turkey this has happened!
I rented a car 07/30/2024. I pícked it up in Heraklion port, but i has to look for it 100 mts by Foot from de entrance.
This Car had electrónic problems (they hadn't checked it previously) sothey had to provide me another Car.
This second Car had several problems (they hadn't checked the previously):. The wiper blade was broken. Radio antenna: broken. Clutch pedal worked badly when I tried to used the second gear. The Alarm red light of the airbag turned on.
It was a terrible experience.

Absolutely dreadful, untrustworthy company. Inept when it comes to their own policies and procedures - different staff give different advice, and they will attempt to pressure you into taking extremely expensive insurance. They lied about their refund process being instant and my bank say that SurPrice never sent them a reversal of the transaction, which means that my £1,500 deposit for a car I was never able to collect will be held for 30 days. SurPrice do not answer email enquires.
Avoid! Off site pick up, long waiting times, rude unprofessional staff, try to charge you for invisible scratches. Stole money from our bank account a week after returning home with no explanation. Our bank has now taken up the issue. Avoid.
Get ready to get overcharged in a low quality product. I arrived late, was charged extra for an automatic transmission and received a low quality car seat that had my wife concerned about the safety of our baby. Just terrible.
This hire company is located away from Heathrow. We were driven to an industrial estate where we were kept in the lobby of that building finally three courses of an hour before the company would even invite us to the office of the rear of the building to hire the vehicle. They then made us pay over £300 UK for insurance with regard that my Australian credit card could not make a single payment deposit of 1500 Australian dollars. The vehicle had already been prepaid through carjet.com. carjet.com were unavailable to provide any response to concerns raised to the via writing. The car hire company do not provide an on-site inspection of the vehicle with you instead requiring you to take photographs. This leaves you susceptible to them challenging for damage and forcing you to pay additional costs. When returning the vehicle the car company had moved locations to an approximately five miles down the road at another industrial estate which was unhygienic unsafe. When we arrive there was a queue of approximately five different people trying to book cars with only one staff member available. Keys for all the vehicles were in a carrier bag and they were scrambling to search to find them. An absolutely disgusting company that I would never ever return to. I would advise all Aussies and kiwis to stay the hell away from them. If you have hired with them challenge your dodgy payments through your bank.
Make note of the low rating!
Poor customer service. They will try to rip you off where possible.
They charged me 160 euros for 2 alloys that were already damaged. My fault for not taking photos of the wheels before hand and only the body of the car!
Make sure you have sufficient insurance or go with another company.
No where near the airport either and not easy to find!
Terrible experience on return. They take money from your VISA without any reason, without explanation and without notice. Apparently we had passed automatic toll gates on the way from faro to lagos, those tolls are registered on a small windowbox in the car. Checked, toll from Faro to Lagos is 6.60 €. Surprise Car Rental charges 180 € for this toll. Nice profit margins though. So they just take that from your VISA. And that is all possible. You will not see proper explanations and official evidence, so a hopeless story. For us the first and last time!
The company's reputation is significantly marred by numerous customer complaints regarding service quality and transparency. Key negative aspects include long wait times for airport pickups, unexpected charges, and difficulties in retrieving deposits, leading to sentiments of distrust and frustration among customers. Many reviews indicate a pattern of perceived dishonesty, with claims of excessive fees for minor damages and insufficient customer support. Conversely, there are few positive remarks, primarily centered on the availability of vehicles. Overall, the feedback suggests a critical need for improved customer service practices and clearer communication regarding policies and fees.
