Initially it was great all our tickets were booked and we were fine with it but then covid hit and we lost our credit (not our fault nor the agencies) but after some fighting we got it back! Then apparently lost it again? After a lot of back and forth emails we got it back but still had to pay in an extra $2000 on top of what we'd already paid 2 years before. This first part was the least of our problems with this agency. The new tickets they had booked us had major layovers so we asked if we could just cancel one of the flights (Texas to LA) and just go from Texas to where we wanted to be, the operator on the phone said it wasn't possible and if we did that they'd say we were a no show and cancel our entire trip. We were about to board our first flight so we were running out of time and the guy said our ONLY option was to buy an entire new round trip and we tried to fight it but we started running out of time very quickly so we started giving our bank details over the phone and before we could finish we were asked to turn off our phones so we never got to finish that purchase. We arrived in Texas and decided to go straight to our airline we were travelling with and ask them if we could cancel that one trip without cancelling our entire trip and customer service said absolutely no problem. So we skipped that one flight and got an email from student universe saying all our flights were cancelled because we missed a flight. We ignored them and called the airline and they said no your flights are all there and nothings cancelled. So basically this agency just wants to rip you off like crazy! Do not use this agency please please save yourself the hassle. They just want to steal your money.
I didn't have any experience with StudentUniverse before, but nevertheless it was easy and fast and I never had to wonder how to proceed.
