Im not sure how it will be if something goes wrong and i need customer service, but getting a flight was easy, and it was wonderfully affordable.
The price was way better and affordable for me as a student that is trying to travel all around the world, seeing and exploring new cultures.

It was affordable and easy to use. I had no issues with the process of booking. One thing i was not aware about was the additional price added while payment. Overall it was a decent experience and use to use booking.
It was not clearly mentioned that there will be additional charges for meal request. Only after booking I got to know that I was charged extra. Why would there be extra charge for meal request when I could have done that for free later?
I've been using Student universe since 2013 and your new website is horrific. It is so much harder to book my flights without the flexible dates option. I cannot change my currency with ease. I can't even login and find my bookings. There is no proper flow to how the pages work. Please revert to the previous features. I used student universe because it was convenient but I will stick to google flights for now.
In addition, there is something wrong with your date fields. When I change the date in one, it affects the date in the other. I have to reselect my dates a few times to get the right range.
I really wanted to book a flight via student universe because of the "NSW25" promotion they are currently running; however, when I go to buy my flight I continue to get "An error occurred while we were trying to book your itinerary. Please try again." I called customer service 2x and they were no help because they can only help you if you have already booked a flight. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was DENIED for that same reasoning. If I want to book a flight with your website, wouldn't you want to HELP a customer out?! I've tried booking this flight Friday, Saturday, and now Sunday, still getting the same errors. Im FURIOUS!
If I book tickets from Air India official website they charge mai 2200CAD and student universe charged me 2300CAD for same ticket. So where is the student discount?
Horrible. Just like… you can find WAAAAYYYY cheaper tickets or the same from reputable sources. This is just baaaaddd. Like run away. I had to have my credit card company deal with them.
I thought a checked bag was included in the price of the tickets but it wasn't.
Very disappointed with the dishonesty regarding checked bags—both the policy and the customer service response were misleading.
CSO talk over to the me no good service very bad service. They lied on the customer not transfer call to TL if requested. No refunded even have flexibile dates very bad no one goes with this service
Very disappointed… long long long long hold on line. Once customer service receive their call they put on hold me for 40 min it's a lot.

I booked a flight from Student Universe traveling from London Heathrow to San Francisco via Lufthansa/ United Airlines code share. I initially received a confirmation and itinerary and was satisfied until 1) They lost my booking info per the website update without any attempt to send me a copy of booking info via email 2) My booking was deemed illegitimate due to payment discrepancy- I had no communication that a payment was unsuccessful from Student Universe until attempting to check in at the gate and being informed that there was no booking per the airlines' records. The lack of communication/ word from SUN is simply horrid. In addition, I was left hanging multiples times from customer service and had no responses from multiple email exchange requests. Avoid if possible.
We booked our flights to the Azores with Student Universe on Jan 10. We received a confirmation email that said "Your trip is confirmed". We checked this stressful part of our trip off... come to find out 13 days later I called them to correct a birth date error only to be informed casually that our tickets were cancelled because "the price had gone up by $200".
We did not receive an email from Student Universe to let us know nor anything from the airline. And when asked they said it is in their policy that they don't need to inform us.
My family has been planning this trip since 2021. It is a big deal for us financially. We almost didn't go because we were looking in June and the flights we $800-900 dollars. I ended up looking in April and saw flights for $640. So we bite the bullet to get our family tickets. Now this is costing my family over $850 more for this vacation. This is the first time my parents are traveling out of the country and right now we have hotels, rentals cars, etc. booked. And no way to get there.
I have used this company for over 10 years. I am horrified! What a horrible thing to do. I will NEVER use this company again.

Regarding discounts I can see that what was paid was about 10% cheaper than booking with the airline directly.
