I started a legitimate Biosciences company and used Stripe t process my payments. After a few transactions over $6,300 the sent me an email and said they will no longer process my transactions because my business is too high of a risk. The then sent me an email saying my funds were to be put on a hold for 120 days to prevent any chargebacks. We have had none. After numerous unanswered emails, I still do not have my funds. This is the worst service and explanation from any company I have ever dealt with. Please do not use this company if you want to collect your funds.
Steer well clear of Stripe. We had a customer use a stolen card on our online store and we shipped the goods to that address as everything matched, yet Stripe just deduct the funds straight out of your bank account as the custoner reports the transaction fraudulent.
Stripe then hide behind a "3 month investigation" whivh turns up nothing, despite the fact I have proof of goods delivery as well as the customer invoice. They even slap you with a $25 fee for the privilege of having your money stolen.
Do not use. Ever.
Stripe sent an incorrect tax document to the IRS and won't respond to 17 emails I've sent! They don't list a phone number nor offer chat. They responded to a negative review I left on another review site, with an email to send my request and they still don't respond!
I have a small startup for health consulting. We are a team of doctors that do not practice medicine but only offer healthy lifestyle consulting through our app.
Stripe decided to classify us as telemedicine and demanded, over and over, licensing that is not required for consulting.
I explained that they were confused, that we were not a telemedicine company. We do not prescribe any medicine or prescriptions of any kind.
Stripe refused to communicate with me on this and instead wholely denied service.
I think this is really disgusting behavior. Chronic disease is at an all-time high, people are struggling financially, we have a whole team of doctors eager to help for very affordable prices.
Stripe clearly does not understand the laws but doesn't care about the customers, they care about their vested interests.
Boycott this terrible fascist company.
Never ever go for this scam process. They are simple doing scam in name of review profile.
They varified my profile, customer services says i can do my business now, can received all the payment but after received several payments they hold all the fund and saying reviewing my profile.
After several review, asked me so many documents those are provided the nwhat they did, they put a tag of action required and stop my customer support link.
Even after several email they are not replying at all.
They used to say they are protecting all fund, customer can feel safe but after a month and more they holding fund not even refund also.
What is it? Simple scam, nothing else.

Planning center runs it's processing through Stripe and it's fees are $2.50 per $100.00 and this is high way robbery for processing. I understand making a profit but this is exorbitant especially considering the fact that Planning center's fees are for Churches and religious organizations.
STRIPE promises to be a simple, and easy to use fintech payment processing platform. It is simple, but not easy to use because its reporting is almost non-existent, and is often inaccurate. Compound that by its terrible, almost hateful off-shore customer service team and you get a payment processing partner that is bordering on deceitful. After 25 years in the payment processing space, this is by far the worst platform I have ever had to use. Stay away!
My company just sign up with stripe and everything was moving smoothly just it was taking 10days for each payout batch. When we contact them they reply us and said they cannot work with our company. First of all, they didn't let us know at front.
Let me paint a picture of the nightmare I've endured with this despicable excuse for a payment processor.
🔪 Knife in the Back: Despite providing top-notch food-related provisioning services—no CBD, no firearms, no high-risk nonsense—Stripe blindsided me with demands for purchase orders and other documents which were promptly provided. Like a thief in the night, they froze my account, slapped it with a "high risk" label, and slammed the brakes on my payouts.
💰 Money Grabbers: But wait, it gets worse. They had the audacity to withhold over 11 THOUSAND US DOLLARS of my hard-earned money, leaving my company teetering on the brink of collapse. Pending payments from loyal customers? Forget about it. Stripe pocketed that too, leaving me high and dry.
📧 Empty Promises: Oh, and let's not forget the cherry on top—endless back-and-forth emails filled with cookie-cutter responses. "Remaining balance will NOT be made available to you," (nor refunded to my customers) they said, callously disregarding my pleas for justice.
💀 SCAM Alert: Folks, mark my words. Stripe isn't just a payment processor; it's a den of thieves masquerading as a legitimate business. If you value your hard-earned money and sanity, steer clear of these crooks at all costs. They'll bleed you dry and leave your business gasping for air.
In just a few months, and as a merchant, I have been frauded by two dishonest customers because Stripe failed to represent me, has the gall to charge me an extra $15 for losing the dispute (even though I provided clear documentation of the customer's order and clear info via tracking that the customer is lying). Also dishonestly failed to tell me about arbitration. They also had the gall to tell me I could get fraud protection if I agree to raise every single transaction fee from 2.7% to 3.2%. So that clearly says there is NO protection against fraud from Stripe in the first place. The most dishonest company I have ever worked with. I will be researchimg to find a better credit card processor.
If you are considering using stripe, then let me make i easy for you, stripe is the worst payment gateway so far, DO NOT USE IT. You will cry your head out after making 1 or 2 payouts on your account. They will block your account with no clue as to what the issue is, worst customer support so far.

Go ANYWHERE else but StripeAvoid this platform at all costs. They actively aided and abetted a company who not only defrauded over 15 of my own clients, but are currently under investigation by the FTC. They, without notice, after 20 years of being in business and at least 5 years using Stripe, reclassified my business on the farudster's reccomendation and shut down my payments. Not only that, I had 1 refund request in 7 years and they withheld 10% of all trasactions for close to a year. If you want your money locked up and your business abused and payments shut down, definitely go with Stripe. My account has just been closed today with a reason: "It seems like your business model doesn't comply with our terms of service" - when I have asked to be more specific got the exact same reply from someone else citing some paragraph about contact lenses, fake drugs where I am fully registered medical business in London, with a business bank account, VAT registered not to mention have nothing to do with contact lenses... Just in the middle of another business day, with no working of what's coming. Bang!. No questions, emails nothing. Just "thanks, bye-bye". If you are serious about your business JUST DONT USE STRIPE! No serious business would act like this with their clients
Someone created a fraudulent account with my business email address. I contacted Stripe immediately and did not hear back for three days. I was told I needed to filed a local police report and a report online with the federal government, which I did. I send them proof and they did not close out the account. In the mean time the person who opened the false account was making false charges under my name. Stripe finally cancelled my account because of the false charges, not because I showed them proof it was a fraudulent account, which would not have happened if they closed the account after I sent them proof of filing with the police. To make matters worse, they have deemed my account a "high risk" account because of the false charges.
Please please please do not ever use stripe. They do not have an actual number to contact customer service. You can email but they never respond with a real response. They will close your account and steal your money for no good reason. I think this company is a scam. If they can't release my money and my customer hasn't received a refund then who has the money? Stripe does because they steal. DO NOT USE STRIPE! There are better pay services out there with an actual customer service number.

They restricted my withdrawal to my bank.
The purpose is to get more info from me.
I submitted all the info to them, but the Account department requested more until I asked to provide the LOGIN CREDENTIALS of my master reseller panel.
This pissed me off!
It looks precisely like they want to steal my account.

Launched a business. We were notified that they weren't ready to work with us and offered colleagues.
Collegues wrote that within 2 weeks we can continue to use the services of Stripe and receive money.
We did what was said. Requested withdrawal of funds to your account. And we have been waiting for a response for about a month.
To our questions about when the withdrawal will be available, offers to provide additional data, the company answers badly.
Each time a different person answers. They write meaningless words - wait a little more. Without any specifics.
We have warned... that we will be forced to follow the path of complaints about the service due to such disrespect for customers. We were not answered. We ask Stripe to rectify the situation urgently.
For new users - your money on stripe accounts is not yours!

I have a website with Shopify. Shopify use Stripe as their third party payment processing provider.
Australia is facing lockdown due to covid19 and we do not have stock (nursery furniture) arriving. I have immediately refunded my customers who are pregnant women and have pre-ordered baby furniture through our website. Stripe is holding $55,000.00 of Customer funds. The funds were deducted from our account immediately. They are supposed to refund in 3-5 business days - we are now up to day 8. My customers are going crazy and threatening to report our business to government authorities. This is due to the inactions of Stripe. We have sought to do the right thing by our customers but this has backfired on us because Stripe will not release their funds. They have tarnished our business name. Never ever use this company.
Do not never trust this company. Stripe is a payment provider that never protects you. Sales were made from our online shop with Calinti credit card. He realized that this card was stolen 1 day later. That's why he made me lose money. It never solved my problem. He also punished me and blocked all collections in my account. He treated me like a Cheater. Actually I got cheated because it didn't activate Stripe 3d and did not do enough Fraud analysis. He just sent me an e-mail stating that he cannot work with me because I am in a high-risk industry. LIKE A JOKE. He has his own security weaknesses. He cannot protect his Vendors because he cannot trust himself about security. They're not fair at all. Do not never choice this company for payment providers.
If I could give a zero star rating, I would. I bought a multi-piece product from a business through Stripe. I received one part of the product, however now I have not received the remaining product, and the business is not responding to my messages asking them what is going on. I have been ignored and pushed off by the business for two months, so I want a refund. I told the business this, and have turned to Stripe to help me because the business has continued to ignore me. Stripe responded that they cannot do anything to help me. They cannot start the refund process or give a warning to the business, and they told me that I should go to my bank to file a dispute. I am so upset! PayPal would have been working on this problem with me. I will never use stripe as a customer of a business, or with my own future business, because of this.
