I have been waiting for weeks for my money. I need to pay my employees and all I can tell them is stripe is holding it. They wait until the day before. It says it's estimated to arrive into my bank account and then give me a new estimated date they've done this for over four weeks. Now I have spoken with another company called prime, who is much much larger and they told me stripe health thousands of dollars from them for six months. They said they make money the longer they hold on to money if they consider my business a high-risk business and is a property maintenance company. This is hands-down the worst company I have ever ever been a part of they don't reply to emails or anything they don't care please please please do not use Stripe use. Auth.net they get your money into your account almost instantly and they work with high risk businesses please please boycott stripe. They are a bunch of robbers and thieves.
I've had the same issue two years in a row now because my job uses them. They say they only issue tax documents if you exceed 200 payments and $20,000 in a year. I was certain I did, but received no documents. I reached out. After several fruitless exchanges, they finally claimed I didn't meet the threshold and provided a link where I could see the pertinent payments. I clicked it, and it specifically showed I met the threshold. The guy didn't even bother looking at the information he sent me. He concluded his email by telling me to reach out if the exported data showed I met the threshold - again showing he didn't even bother to look.
Have a short term vacation property. My property manager just switched to strip 2 months ago. Completely booked for 10 weeks that they were paid. But I wasn't. Been waiting for 6 weeks and still waiting! Switching property managers (that are doing a good job) just to get away from them
Yep. Imagine having stripe hold your money or you being hacked and having no idea of how much you have lost or any clue about what has happened. Now imagine the only connection to this company are robotic sounding fillipinos that follow scripts and cannot deviate from a script at all. Void of any emotion void of any personality just a script that they are reading because they are like open ai and chat gpt... void of any human like behaviour. It should be illegal for any company like this offering financial services to operate in a country without providing support in that country you have no idea how long it can take for them to get back to you it's like they think they are the government and not answerable to anyone... do a google search on stripe and see the amount of negative reviews and how many there are... you don't have thos many people complain without their being a good reason.
Attention! Do not work with Stripe! Be careful! Stripe are scammers! They steal their customers' money by withholding it and not paying out without justification! The only thing they write is that your account is not eligible and do not respond to emails and turn off the chat function of your account and do not let you call customer service.
Take a look at Stripe's profile on BBB and you will see that hundreds of others have the same problem with Stripe and are complaining because their money is also being withheld by Stripe.
I have had numerous issues with Stripe. It is impossible to speak with someone on the phone, and the reps over email and chat are useless as they just repeat the same copy & pasted information. They kept me on chat for 2 hours to tell me they were "working on it". I confirmed prior to processing client transactions that the payout timeframe would be 4 days. After the payments were processed, the payout time changed to 14 days. They had no reasoning for this and couldn't even acknowledge it was an error on their part, simply just kept saying that that's what it is now and that I have to deal with it. I am in the process of switching over to a MUCH better company with better customer service and payout times, and I would never recommend anyone to ever deal with Stripe.
On December 13th, my client paid me $1138.50 on 12-13-23 using Stripe. The payment has been located, but now more dragging of the feet, and the procrastination of transferring the funds to me.
Working with the Stripe support group is a nightmare within itself. Do yourselves a favour and use Quickbooks. They do not deserve a 1 star!
If I could give negative stars I would. They take payment, then hold your money on a variety of excuses for months... how to run a business when they take your funds, how to pay staff, how to operate?
This company should be shut down.
I started using Stripe back in Jan 2022 for my writing business. We had completed all the verifications Stripe asked me for, including invoices, ID verification and even facial recognition verification. However, on 29th May I received an email stating Stripe has now decided that my business is too high risk. Why was this not something Stripe informed me prior to me being fully operational. Now this makes me think, maybe it was intentional as now they have even held over $40,000 in reserve. Is Stripe intentionally letting the customer's build their processing before holding a huge chunk of their cashflows? This seems like a usual practice of Stripe looking at the comments section.
I definitely would not recommend Stripe!
Being with them for 2 years we experienced, money loss on several occasions.
Funds are simply vanishing from balance and despite of phone calls, numerous chats and emails problems are left unresolved. Once you lost your funds that is it! Don't rely on their unprofessional customer's support, they are totally lost, with no skills whatsoever! You will get standart response whilst problem will be left aside. They are never responsible for anything,"our hands are tie we have limited role" this is what you are going to hear... all this bul$#*!. BE AWARE!
Over the weekend, I ordered a product but was required to go through Stripe. Then I got charged over $100.00 for the product that was only $54. I'm sure I'll never see the product. This place is just a scam! Avoid them!
I cannot begin to explain my frustration with this platform. I signed up as a porcessor for my vacation rentals and have had nothing but headaches from the start. Many payments came back as disputed, so they clearly have no way of securing payments. They finally flagged my business as "risky". My business is not risky at all, it was your incompetence that led to me losing 6 disputed payments. See screenshot of over $6k in lost disputes in ONE day. Stay away and join Lynnbrook if you are in the vacation rental business, they have been amazing so far!
They are condescending & unprofessional. Thinking that you have a product, but it will be successful without clients is typical of their attitude. You have to repeat everything 5 times, & then, listen to the boys insult you by saying you didn't understand... when the download isn't available or doesn't work.no one ever takes care of biz right away, or apologize for lack of clarity or efficacity-what a mess & a collection of pretentious people. Not worth it-look elsewhere! Jo-anna *******@conciergejo-anna.com.
Terrible experience, they stopped my payments w/o a clear reason. They asked me to verify myself, despite that I verified many times. They continued to block me. The worst is that I has products in transit for customers, that I did not receive money, customers had a payment confirmation and when I was telling them that I cant deliver, since I do not have the money, and that stripe will return the money back between 5 to 7 days nobody believed me, they thought I was cheating them. Do not work them, I still do not understand how they are legally operating.
The worst customer experience I have ever had. My account was blocked 4 months ago: 2 payments were refunded but 1 is still being held by Stripe. The problem is so small it could be solved with a 1min call but they avoid it at all costs and take a few days to reply to my emails. Customer support keeps saying "we are working on it" but clearly they are not. Do a favor to your future self, DO NOT USE STRIPE.
I got an email that a customer used a stolen credit card. Not only was I forced to refund the money (not even taking into account the fees I paid), I also had to pay an extra $25 as punishment for someone else's crime! It is not my fault that a customer used a stolen credit, just like if I owned a physical shop and someone paid with stolen cash, that is not my problem. My job is just to accept the payment and ship the goods. I am now looking for another provider.
You're sitting on the money I sent in February to buy a guitar. After all that happened with the virus, I thought I was finally getting it and now you won't pay the company after they built the guitar and got ready to ship it to me. Absolute shame upon you.
Just my opinion, stripe is useless for customer complaints in australia.
I setup an account and made card transactions from my OWN money to test the system; how the return works, it's fees and turn over time and after review they have deemed the business high risk (which I understand) but have held my money in "reserve" till 24th feb 2024.
This is my own money and I have verified it to them. Asked them to just refund the money to the card it was transacted from, but they fail to understand my case and have said they are holding it for future refund disputes (LOL)
Stay clear of this payment platform and use local Aussie based payment processing companies.
Never again will I use this service or recommend to anyone else.
This is not a credit card processor, stripe is theft machine that takes your money when you feel safe and relax and start large transactions that's when they get you. And take all your money they took 2,000 from me,we need a law
Suit
Unable to obtain any level of support, no phone number to call, online chat to machine learning system and unable to obtain a return call in a timely manner and zero response to emails
Answer: Hi Jon, I'm sorry that you're having trouble with disputes -- they can be frustrating! Unfortunately, when your customer initiates a dispute with their bank, it's the bank that begins an investigation and makes the determination on who gets to keep the funds -- and often times, they do favor the customer. This process is facilitated by credit card networks, but Stripe helps with this process by submitting evidence that you provide, such as tracking numbers. Although we can't make disputes go away, we do try our best to make them a bit easier to manage. As a bit of background on how the dispute process works, the minute that we learn about a dispute from your cardholder's bank, the funds and an additional fee are taken out of our account. In the event that you're able to win a dispute, we return the full amount of the charge and the fee to you, though the fee that we are assessed is not returned to us by the bank. We return that fee because we feel strongly that businesses shouldn't be penalized for disputes that are resolved in their favor. Because it is expensive for us to return those fees in instances were the dispute is resolved in the business's favor, we aren't able to return the fees at other times. In addition, since disputes are a forced refund by the cardholder’s bank and not a voluntary one on your part, you remain responsible for the processing fees for the initial transaction. It can be tricky for even experienced businesses to understand how to handle a dispute, so we've spent time documenting the various circumstances under which a payment can be disputed, and how best to handle each -- I'd recommend taking a look at https://stripe.com/help/disputes to learn more. Please also take a look at https://stripe.com/help/disputes#how-can-i-prevent-disputes to learn more about preventing disputes. I hope this helps shed some light on our approach here. Again, I'm sorry that dealing with disputes are frustrating. Stripe actively dedicates resources to making this problem better and, over time, go away entirely. We can certainly look into your account and these specific disputes, if you'd like, if you send us a message at https://support.stripe.com/email.
Answer: These are the most significant crooks in the industry but they will get what they deserve I joined a group how will exposed there behavior. It is impossible that they can keep on operating and not get arrested
Stripe has a rating of 1.2 stars from 447 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Stripe most frequently mention customer service, high risk and credit card. Stripe ranks 188th among Payment Processing sites.
Hi Concierge, I'm sorry for the trouble here—it looks like you were in touch with a third-party integration not affiliated with us, rather than the Stripe support team (in the future, you can get in touch with us directly at support@stripe.com). Brian from our team is looking into your issue now and will send an email to you soon.
