Stripe is ineffective at processing your information. After I made a change to my bank account numbers, they basically blocked me from any of my money and now I am screwed. Don't use Stripe. It's impossible to get anybody on the phone to get anything straightened out. I'm a Gloss Genius business and unfortunately Stripe was the payment processor they used on being new to business. I had no idea how poorly run everything is. I'm definitely going to have my customers pay cash from here on out until I find a processing company that aren't sharks.
On December 13th, my client paid me $1138.50 on 12-13-23 using Stripe. The payment has been located, but now more dragging of the feet, and the procrastination of transferring the funds to me.
Working with the Stripe support group is a nightmare within itself. Do yourselves a favour and use Quickbooks. They do not deserve a 1 star!
Stripe is the worst app company platform service I've ever used I would strongly recommend not to use this service to anyone your money is not and will not be safe nor secure or useful as a professional business owner and operator….
Extremely frustrating experience. Almost impossible to reach anybody past the initial customer service. I have spent over three hours on phone calls just to add a bank account from the same bank I've always had. Took 36 hours to even be able to pass security to get payment to the original bank. Customer service has been very condescending and when I asked to speak with management, I was told that possibly someone would get back to me but no guarantee. I had had a good experience in years past, but I have spent so much time just to make simple adjustments. I spent over an hour with customer service for the third time for them to discover that the URL for my website needed to be updated. Considering I have had this business and used the same sites for over eight years, it seems unacceptable. It took that long to figure this out.
All the positive reviews you see or you read online are clearly bought marketing attempt to save their face. It's a legalized scam that gives you no security whatsoever. A risk business built on credit and debt, stay away as far as possible and opt for more stable and safe solutions like PayPal
Im honestly chocked how many people have the same experience as me, they say I'm a threat etc. I provide everything needed, they still don't verify me.
They lie that my client didn't verify his card although for me it says he did(see picture in swedish).
They don't reply to my emails, they don't pay me my money.
They say they will return the money to the buyer although he got his watch delivered. I've provided everything, every single document. And they still treated me like this.
Stripe might be a good payment platform but reporting module is HORRIBLE. Looks like reports built for internal use only. Simple example. There are several payouts to my bank account monthly and I need to see a report showing amount transferred and all fees associated with this particular transfer plus customer name and item so I do not need to drill down every payout. All data is available in various reports but with increase of volume it is really time consuming. I hope Stripe will adjust to its clients requirements.
Stripe doesn't even deserve a single star. They blocked my payouts. Its more than 2 months i am waiting for my payment. The employee have no idea what's going on. Every time a new date is given for payout. What's wrong with *******@stripe. Because of these people i had to face a huge loss. Do not use this app, they will not give your money. Scammers.!
Worst company ever; they are not professional at all! There is no supervisor or manager to talk to! BY NOT FIXING MY issue They help hackers to hack my stripes's account. After seven months, they haven't fixed my issue! Emails, calls back and forth, promises, and nothing has been fixed. Anyone trying to use them has to think more than one.
Stripe closed my account and no one no why.
I have a balance of $4500, I made 10 appeals, I sent 100 emails, and they told me that they will not pay me out these $4500...?
How can a company even say that they will not return my money? If you want to close my account, ok close it, but pay me out!
Because I shiped the products to my customers, so my customers have their orders, and I don't have the money paid for these orders, how a business can survive then?
And now what I did, I issued a refund to 15 of my customers, because it's better that my customers have their money and product than Stripe, and 5 refunds went succesfull, but other 10 are in "refund pending due to inufficient funds", and this is not true of course because even after 15 issued refunds, I have still a positive balance of $700, now Stripe don't want to give money to me and don't want to issue refunds to my customers.
This is a crime, Stripe is the worst company that ever existed, they are a SCAM company
How can a business survive if they don't receive their money for the orders customers made on their website? How? It's immpossible.
Stripe don't know that I am a person that will do WHATEVER IT TAKES to receive my money, I said WHATEVER, and I will receive my money.
I am writing this review because I don't want that any person ever use Stripe anymore, I don't want this to happen to anyone ever again. Stripe is a scam, and my wish for Christmas 2023 is them to not exist anymore, they need to dissapear from this planet.
I charged a 5 large sums for a government contract. The last charge they've held 4 weeks and still on hold. No unauthorized charges per customer
I opened my stripe account went through verification and even had clients use thier card to pay their bill once my account was funded without issue and raised no red flags as far as risk factors I was told my account would be closed and the money left in it after 5 days would remain theirs. They are not refunding the clients but keeping thousands themselves. There will be a class action suit over this as I see other going through the same and they do have loopholes in their terms and conditions because what they are doing is stealing nothing more.
They don't want to solve a huge bug for already 10 days, I cannot get payments from my clients! I wrote them many times to support, they didn't even listen to me properly, seems like they ignore my problem at all. I have already started loosing clients and money! Service is 0! Not recommend them at al!
I'm beyond disappointed with Stripe's decision to close my account for Lucas General Contracting, a reputable business with a solid track record of providing high-quality construction services. I've been using PayPal without any issues for years, but Stripe suddenly decides that my business doesn't meet their standards. This is nothing short of absurd!
I tried to reason with their customer support, providing a detailed explanation of our business operations and addressing any potential concerns. However, they remained adamant about their decision, offering no clear explanation or justification.
I'm convinced that this decision is driven by Stripe's agenda to favor large corporations over small businesses like mine. Their policies are becoming increasingly restrictive, making it difficult for honest entrepreneurs to operate smoothly.
I urge everyone to join me in boycotting Stripe until they revise their policies and demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting small businesses. Stripe's actions are unethical and unacceptable. We need to send a strong message that we won't tolerate such discriminatory practices.
Just my opinion, stripe is useless for customer complaints in australia.
I setup an account and made card transactions from my OWN money to test the system; how the return works, it's fees and turn over time and after review they have deemed the business high risk (which I understand) but have held my money in "reserve" till 24th feb 2024.
This is my own money and I have verified it to them. Asked them to just refund the money to the card it was transacted from, but they fail to understand my case and have said they are holding it for future refund disputes (LOL)
Stay clear of this payment platform and use local Aussie based payment processing companies.
Never again will I use this service or recommend to anyone else.
I had a business change owners and left his card information on a recurring invoice with Zipbooks which I have connected to Stripe. They disputed the charge, the new owner paid the invoice with a check. I provided all this information and Stripe still is now holding 20% of my money every invoice that's paid. 1 dispute in 3 years. The only dispute on my account. On top of it, they recently out of nowhere requested verification of my website. They have locked all payouts and have a lot of money stuck in limbo now because they won't release it. It's been 3 days since I gave them the same info on my website I've always given them and they have not responded to the verification and Live Chat just pushes me to email that nobody responds to.
IT'S TIME FOR A LAWSUIT.
Awful. Expensive. Does not track invoice payments correctly, support offers truly error filled feedback if you can even get someone in chat only. Uses Wells Fargo for payment pass through on ACH confusing expensive. Not worth it
I had several chargebacks on my website by fraudsters so I looked for an option to protect me. I moved from Square to Stripe to take advantage of the RADAR fraud system which seemed robust and worth the extra money. They do charge in addition to their payment processing fees. For instance, a $6.99 purchase costs me.61 cents. Almost 10% of my sale... With this steep fee, you'd think you're paying for a nice slice of the peace of mind pie, but you're not. I constantly have sales go through with risk scores at the HIGHEST level, or they have an address in a completely different state or country, the IP address doesn't match up, the IP address has multiple disputes associated with it, so you know what you have to do? Refund that purchase, and Stripe KEEPS ALL THE FEES. I have paid Stripe more for a service that is clearly not working consistently and logically. When you reach out to ask why these clearly fraudulent payments are going through, the customer services reps never know what to say. They just copy and paste help articles and never address the real issue. They are completely useless and uninformed. A most recent order: IP address located in Pennsylvania, billing address located in Maine (a vacant building) Bank located in West Virginia, Card was prepaid, 14 cards were associated with that IP address, 6 different emails, multiple disputes. With alll the red flags you don't even need software to identify, RADAR by Stripe assigned it a ZERO risk and RADAR let it go through for a large purchase over $150. I had to refund that purchase to avoid a dispute and sure enough, I confirmed it was fraud. After all my work, I had to pay all the fees to Stripe when refunding the customer to cancel the order. It feels like fraud is happening here, and more than from my customers. Advertising a service that fails and then refusing to fix it or address is is the definition of fraud. What an expensive mistake to invest in Stripe's Fraud software.
My hotel had an awful experience with your services. Connecting our physical terminals to your system is nearly impossible. What's even more frustrating is that you withhold 35% of our revenue for 30 days as a reserve in case of any unforeseen incidents.
My client makes the payment and the transaction is missing from my dashboard as if the transaction never happened which means it never goes into my bank but they keep the money from my customer. The customer has sent me proof that the money has come out of their bank and paid. Please help and report them. The support is horrible to no help if you see the payment is not on the stripe dashboard shown in the photo.
Answer: Hi Jon, I'm sorry that you're having trouble with disputes -- they can be frustrating! Unfortunately, when your customer initiates a dispute with their bank, it's the bank that begins an investigation and makes the determination on who gets to keep the funds -- and often times, they do favor the customer. This process is facilitated by credit card networks, but Stripe helps with this process by submitting evidence that you provide, such as tracking numbers. Although we can't make disputes go away, we do try our best to make them a bit easier to manage. As a bit of background on how the dispute process works, the minute that we learn about a dispute from your cardholder's bank, the funds and an additional fee are taken out of our account. In the event that you're able to win a dispute, we return the full amount of the charge and the fee to you, though the fee that we are assessed is not returned to us by the bank. We return that fee because we feel strongly that businesses shouldn't be penalized for disputes that are resolved in their favor. Because it is expensive for us to return those fees in instances were the dispute is resolved in the business's favor, we aren't able to return the fees at other times. In addition, since disputes are a forced refund by the cardholder’s bank and not a voluntary one on your part, you remain responsible for the processing fees for the initial transaction. It can be tricky for even experienced businesses to understand how to handle a dispute, so we've spent time documenting the various circumstances under which a payment can be disputed, and how best to handle each -- I'd recommend taking a look at https://stripe.com/help/disputes to learn more. Please also take a look at https://stripe.com/help/disputes#how-can-i-prevent-disputes to learn more about preventing disputes. I hope this helps shed some light on our approach here. Again, I'm sorry that dealing with disputes are frustrating. Stripe actively dedicates resources to making this problem better and, over time, go away entirely. We can certainly look into your account and these specific disputes, if you'd like, if you send us a message at https://support.stripe.com/email.
Answer: These are the most significant crooks in the industry but they will get what they deserve I joined a group how will exposed there behavior. It is impossible that they can keep on operating and not get arrested
