I have been using Stripe for 2 years, and recently one authorised payment was received online and they blocked me, blocked my business, did we know who was paying online, its strip responsibility to check on payments it someone paying unauthorized they have to block that card or user but not the entire business.
I waited my 7 days for the first transaction to process into my account. No big deal, that's how it works. Second transaction went smoothly. The third transaction they all of a sudden have an issue with my bank. The bank doesn't print their full name on the statements, instead using the first letter of each word, similar to an acronym. So now they claim the bank names don't match up. I had to send statements and voided checks. Customer service verified everything. Everything matches up but there's a mystery verification it has to go thru that no human can do. No one knows when it'll be done. All they say is to keep checking back. Every day my funds show possibly deposited the following day. Now it's Friday and it shows possibly Monday. 7 days money being held hostage. Mind you there have been zero issues with any prior deposits. So they get 3% fee, which I'm sure they already have possession of, and a week of free interest on my money. I get if there's an issue they need to verify information but there is absolutely no concern for the customer who has funds frozen. No urgency to resolve. No concern how your business is effected. No ability for a human to help. You are just stuck in a random loop of waiting. All of my info was verified days ago by a customer service rep. Think twice before using
Opened a new Stripe account and provided my Driver's license, and Credit-card for verification. I soon received an email that said some transactions that I processed were "Not approved by the customer" and that my account was suspended. I called the bank directly and they stated that no such transactions existed. So #1. Stripe lied to my face stating that transactions were "not approved" when they clearly were. And then proceeded to tell me that I was too "high risk" and closed my account. An absolutely terrible experience. They are a joke and I will never recommend or use their services ever again.
Stripe will loose it's funding, become insolvent, and file for bankruptcy that is why they are freezing business accounts randomly and stealing the funds. You have been warned. Stay away from these crooks.
Received the first 3 payments from customers on the same days and the account were closed two days after. Took forever to get money back for customers and the fee was deducted for their own mistake. The website also claimed 24/7 phone support, but even clicking from their own site, the customer absolutely have no freaking way, a phone number, to be able to contact them!
Stripe might be a good payment platform but reporting module is HORRIBLE. Looks like reports built for internal use only. Simple example. There are several payouts to my bank account monthly and I need to see a report showing amount transferred and all fees associated with this particular transfer plus customer name and item so I do not need to drill down every payout. All data is available in various reports but with increase of volume it is really time consuming. I hope Stripe will adjust to its clients requirements.
Tech support doesn't take the time to address your issue. They do not respect that you have a set of coding skills. Instead of helping with an issue, they routinely suggest that you contact and expert'. Poor excuse for tech support. I think the agents are trained to handle questions this way or they are techies who do not know how to communicate with their customers.
Tried to contact chat support for at ~4 times today, when you talk to them you sometimes feel the just hired some cheap workforce in the street to answer your question. For simplest questions that you can find the answer in google in 5 minutes, they waste at least an hour of your time and in the end will tell you they will email you the answer.
Really frustrating service.
Had a rocky road at first but these guys turned around and did a really great job after everything seemed like it was just going to be pointless they fixed everything once I contacted the support team they realized the mistake was made and fixed it immediately these guys have my respect
When using stripe you don't need to put full card details to collect donations. Very simple to use I use it. Stripe and been steeling thousands of money from people's bank accounts. They simple but they are scammers
I was very confident that Stripe is a scam. After being able to only once withdraw money past their standard delay of one week, my next payment was not received and is being held captive for what's soon going to be two months. They always postpone the money release schedule and their support system is futile, they just repeat the same apocryphal excuse, which is "reviewing your information." Even if that was true, it says that the review typically takes 2-3 days, but it has been as I've said what's very soon going to be 2 months with 0 progress. Edit* After 4 months+ and questions galore, I received my money. Use this platform at your own risk.
8 accounts with them all goes well until it's not
One account is flagged, they steal 5000 of money money never return to me or to my clients and we are 6 months later. All emails are answered by fake humans and is AI based. Going legal now
Stripe is the worst app company platform service I've ever used I would strongly recommend not to use this service to anyone your money is not and will not be safe nor secure or useful as a professional business owner and operator….
I'm prompted to write this review, because in my dealings with Stripe I've always received excellent and prompt service. Both via the online chat system and with followup emails from support.
We integrate our application via their API for Subscriptions with Direct Debit and Credit Card payment options. My queries tend to be very technical in nature, and all of them have been resolved to my satisfaction.
Stripe doesn't even deserve a single star. They blocked my payouts. Its more than 2 months i am waiting for my payment. The employee have no idea what's going on. Every time a new date is given for payout. What's wrong with *******@stripe. Because of these people i had to face a huge loss. Do not use this app, they will not give your money. Scammers.!
Very disappointed about Stripe business practices. They suspended our account after one month of setting it up and starting accepting payment from customers
Lucky for us that we're still in the testing mode and only used two credit cards for payment testing.
It's such a waste of time and effort to integrate this useless company stripe for nothing and headache.
Stay away and avoiding this stripe company and go with other companies to save you time and energy
You are warned
All the positive reviews you see or you read online are clearly bought marketing attempt to save their face. It's a legalized scam that gives you no security whatsoever. A risk business built on credit and debt, stay away as far as possible and opt for more stable and safe solutions like PayPal
Awful. Expensive. Does not track invoice payments correctly, support offers truly error filled feedback if you can even get someone in chat only. Uses Wells Fargo for payment pass through on ACH confusing expensive. Not worth it
I don't know why people use this. Paypal is 100% better is all ways. Whenever you cannot talk to a live person, you should know you're going to have trouble at some point and have trouble getting it resolved. Paypal has been great for over 20 years. They answer their phones. I've had 1000's of transactions through Paypal with ONE problem since 1998. This company is Internet based with NO PHONE SUPPORT. Good luck with that. You realize the Internet will go down for an extending period one of these days, could be tomorrow or in many years, but it will happen. Good luck getting your money then. Their customer service emails are incredibly nice, I'll say that about them, other companies could learn a lot about whomever trained their customer support people. But if you have a problem that they can't solve, you are sh*t out of luck.
Stripe payment processing BEWARE!
Just like that, no warning, no reason, no charge backs, no complaints but...
"We have paused payouts to your bank account until we are able to verify what you're selling".
(Despite no ambiguity on the website)
"Once we hear back from you, a specialist will review your information and we'll let you know if we've resumed payouts to your account"
Tens of thousands of pounds arbitrarily held recklessly and from what I can tell it won't be resolved quickly enough to avoid serious harm to our business.
Anyone with similar experience the internet is awash with bad experiences?
Stripe are not responding to communication.
Shocking!
Answer: Hi Jon, I'm sorry that you're having trouble with disputes -- they can be frustrating! Unfortunately, when your customer initiates a dispute with their bank, it's the bank that begins an investigation and makes the determination on who gets to keep the funds -- and often times, they do favor the customer. This process is facilitated by credit card networks, but Stripe helps with this process by submitting evidence that you provide, such as tracking numbers. Although we can't make disputes go away, we do try our best to make them a bit easier to manage. As a bit of background on how the dispute process works, the minute that we learn about a dispute from your cardholder's bank, the funds and an additional fee are taken out of our account. In the event that you're able to win a dispute, we return the full amount of the charge and the fee to you, though the fee that we are assessed is not returned to us by the bank. We return that fee because we feel strongly that businesses shouldn't be penalized for disputes that are resolved in their favor. Because it is expensive for us to return those fees in instances were the dispute is resolved in the business's favor, we aren't able to return the fees at other times. In addition, since disputes are a forced refund by the cardholder’s bank and not a voluntary one on your part, you remain responsible for the processing fees for the initial transaction. It can be tricky for even experienced businesses to understand how to handle a dispute, so we've spent time documenting the various circumstances under which a payment can be disputed, and how best to handle each -- I'd recommend taking a look at https://stripe.com/help/disputes to learn more. Please also take a look at https://stripe.com/help/disputes#how-can-i-prevent-disputes to learn more about preventing disputes. I hope this helps shed some light on our approach here. Again, I'm sorry that dealing with disputes are frustrating. Stripe actively dedicates resources to making this problem better and, over time, go away entirely. We can certainly look into your account and these specific disputes, if you'd like, if you send us a message at https://support.stripe.com/email.
Answer: These are the most significant crooks in the industry but they will get what they deserve I joined a group how will exposed there behavior. It is impossible that they can keep on operating and not get arrested
