The carriers that Stackry uses charge based on dimensional weight or actual weight, whichever is higher. Because of this, the size of your parcel can determine the billable weight of your shipment. I took a look at your most recent shipment, and see you shipped beach chairs. Based on the dimensions of the chairs, I can confirm you were billed on the size, because the costs are also about the cargo space the package will take up on the airplane. Easy to use, reliable. Shipping can be pricey, but the price you pay to be able to make use of these types of platforms and get goods you wouldn't normally be able to. Worth it for items you really want.

I paid $5 extra to repack for a lower shipping cost, under the impression that it would not be charged if there was no savings. There was no savings but I was still charged.

We have a great team who is helpful with inquiries like this. Upon review of your shipment, I see the repack reduced your package by 14 lbs. in dimensional weight. This reduction resulted in great savings for all of the shipping carriers we offer with the exception of Connect by FedEx, which only bills for shipping on the actual weight and not the dimensional weight. I see this is the carrier you shipped with and this is the reason why the repack did not save you. Very sorry for the confusion. I refunded the $5 repack fee to your payment method. Expensive shipping to Europe and slow consolidadtion. How come I order from a us brand and pay USD 5 for shipping in a few days and with stackers it's USD 15 for a very small package?
