The shopping is the easy part. It's the installing that I'm dreading. The shopping and installing were not difficult. The approval was a nightmare. I don't think the people at Comodo can read! Very, very frustrating experience with them.
There is a need for better help/kb pages. I've got my SSL package but following the available instructions did not help since, apparently, the private key is not in the package. I've spent significant amount of time trying to solve the SSL cert disappearing from IIS. The solution for me was in Recovering the private key section of this https://weblog.west-wind.com/posts/2014/may/08/iis-ssl-certificate-renewal-pain
Nothing to say about the price. The understanding of the use and the configuration still seems a little difficult to apprehend for a "novice". Also strange, I found myself on a forum and helpdesk that was not ssls.com after clicking on a link in an email that was just supposed to guide me for installation / configuration.! Hope helpdesk will do the job.
The price was excellent and the service was on point. I had to regenerate the certificate because of an incorrect CSR that was submitted and customer service was able to instruct me how to regenerate the SSL quickly and easily. Highly recommended.
My favorite SSL provider it' essential for landing pages and big projects. Very easy and very fast delivery.
You didn't seem to have a lot of tools to help us be successful with using the certs. I was using hMailServer, and still have not gotten the cert installed in a way that the entire cert chain is working so mobile devices will accept it.
Poor management options to add more than 1 email for deadline reminders and to add another administrator to manage the ssl activation from a different account or email (1 for a technical approach and more than one for administrative approach).
So far - very easy.
Uploading the validation file was a little frustrating because I did not know which directory to upload to. Had to figure out that root directory was the public_ html directory. Having this info in the instructions would have saved me some time.
The price is great and the purchase process is really simple. Configuring SSL is a pain, but SSLS provides decently guided process with several possibilities, which does make it less painful, though it took me a few tries to get it right the first time around. Nest time it was even easier.
After many, many months, I have still not received the certificate I have ordered! I contacted the support team, but haven't received any response. I hope somebody will finally look at the issue and provide some support!
The purchase experience was easy. Skeptical about the configuration experience, but hopeful.
Update: The configuration experience was also easy, though the verification step got stuck so I had to ping support, but they got it sorted out quickly.
I had some difficulties with renewing certificate to IIS server. I made a ticket to support system and got a good support. With their instructions and help i finally managed to install certificate properly.
This is the most afordable, esay way to buy, exceptional support SSL certificate website I ever use it, and I'm in the business for more than 25 years. Great as always, thanks for keeping doing things as you do.
The certificates are a nice price compared to others and installing the certificates is easy with the supplied manuals.
Placing the order and paying was a piece of cake. Installing the SSL certificate took me a full day, until I discovered that internetexplorer works fine when generating a private key and firefox doesn't. That was the problem: firefox doesn't share the private key with windows server 2012. Once I used IE it installed flawlessly.
Needed a quick SSL certificate after Let's Encrypt was already requested previously a few days ago without keeping any of the cert information/key and was forced to find a cheap alternative. With help from your customer service reps, I was able to install it and have it save my client's site.
I purchase many certificates yearly, either for my clients, family anf friends websites and email, this service literally saves me thousands of dollars per year on SSL certificates, and this in turn allows me to compete with some of the larger hosting companies.
I don't what to do after making the payment, I didn't receive any instructions what to do. Do I need to take any action upon renewal of the ssl certificate or I don't need any thing else. Is this the same certificate validity is extended or is this a new certificate, I will have to request my hosting company to install again. Nothing is clear.
I have found the support I receive from ssls is outstanding. There is no runaround. They get right to the point and do the right thing. It seems amazing to me that one of the lowest cost providers has the best customer service.
Hello,
So far so good, I have been using ssls.com for my certificates, only mistake that i made, instead renew my existing certificate, i had purchased a new one for the same host, i did it because i couldnt find the "renew" option...
Answer: I have been using them for a couple of years and the certificates work fine for ecommerce.
