Buying is not the issue; it's easy, but the installation is long and difficult. And without phone support, I still don't if it's working or what I should look for to verify that it's working. I think I followed the steps correctly. What's the difference between "http" and "https?" and how do the two affect the user experience?
No hassle, no nonsense. Great support. Using it for years!
The price allowed us to go https with all our domains and subdomains.
Some information could be better. E.g. We loaded the verification file, but our htaccess file is routing http to https automatically, so the verification didn't work. Anyway, the support was able to help us immediately and without waiting.
While I am thrilled with the cost, I could have used a little more info including which cert package to get for a wildcard cert.
Nonetheless the overall process is pretty good. I would like to see a confirmation screen of what the CSR instruct your system to put in the cert. Instead I had to reissue the cert a few times to get it to read right
Quck. Easy to understand. Please do not use light gray colors, as they can be difficult to read.
Chrome reports that https://www.propilot.no uses an old method of encryption or something. Is that related to the certificate? You should deliver modern certificates.
I really enjoy your products. Although i wish there was more tutorials, faqs and tips for usage. Including alternative systems. I'm running NGINX on my Ubuntu server for example. It would be nice having a tutorial from you.
Good job
I have bought about 20 certificates from ssls.com and I will continue for the next 20.000 as well. You cant get a better support, faster processing and smarter administration. 5 stars in any categorie.
I encountered some issues with my Key because it wasn't in RSA format. That took an hour or two to figure out, between my hosting company & ssls.com support. Expanding documentation about that would be helpful.
The site seems vague - I actually have over 100 certs to buy - but do not feel confident. So am just buying 3 to test the waters and then will purchase more after I see how it goes. UPDATE. Have purchased many more certs and the process has been excellent. Super easy and the certs work awesome
It was slightly concerning that I wasn't asked to upload a cert signing request before purchasing. The purchase is for the ability to request one certificate signature after completion. Would be good if there were text saying so.
Ordered from SSLs, Easy and swift process. Received my certificate within 12 hours. Easy to install. I absolutly can recommend this site.
All perfect. Instructions to create and install the certificate are quite easy to follow.
The only minor issue in our case was with Thunderbird, it does not recognize the certificate as valid (it says "the issuer is unknown"), no problem with Apple Mail, Outlook, Safari, Firefox, and Crhome.
SSLs provides a quality product that meets the needs of 'most' websites in providing a secure website which helps with search engine rankings. Their technical staff has been prompt in responding to requests and has solved all issues that I have encountered. Overall, a very good experience for my firm. We now get all of our SSL's from SSLs.com (CheapSSL.com).
I don't know yet if you're going to provide me with instructions on how to install the cert (i need instructions) so it's difficult for me to give you a fully accurate rating, as i can't really rate you until i know this cert is easily installed
Your website used to be great-- intuitive and easy to navigate. But not anymore. Your redesign is terrible. And what happened to your volume discounts? My purchases will be smaller now because there is no incentive to buy more at a time.
Technical reasons.
Site said I could add SAN:s, so I did in csr, but those were ignored and I was told that
Some www was added automatically.
So I got something that I did no want, and not what was requested.
But 24 euros for something for 5 years is not much.
This similar would have been corrected at another supplier in minutes,
But I was just told this is "automatic", can not help.
The steps to generate and install the certificate could be better explained. E.g. I didn't know if I should put the domain name or the full URL (example.com or www.example.com) during certificate creation.
It's not the first time I setup an SSL, but for novices there are better explanations on competitors sites. However, the price is so low that even if everything went wrong, it's not a big loss.
I definitely will buy my next certificates at SSLs.com
Finding a good and reliable ssl certificate was always a cumbersome task until i somehow stumbled upon ssls.com through google.
Its not just affordable price that attracts people but even the reliable qualitu of certificate with a great support structure where your ticket/query gets resolved very soon.
Thank you ssls for your service. Keep up the great work of securing the internet.
Their customer service is great -- LiveChat reps are consistently helpful and friendly even when buying a $15 certificate. The $15 cert ($5/year for 3 years) is perfectly fine for small non-commerce sites and protects your users' communication with your server just as well as a certificate from one of the big brands that will run you $80+ a year.
My only beef is that their activation process still rejects new TLDs, like.online,.tech, etc; they need to implement something that more quickly updates as new TLDs are released into the wild so they don't erroneously reject domains during the activation. I was still able to submit a ticket to support with my CSR, domain, cert number, and support PIN (the latter two of which are easily found on their site after logging in), and they manually issued the cert for me within two hours of me submitting the request.
WebSite interface and process is one of the best.
There are missing some utilities. For example: renewing a certificate using the previously submitted csr.
Receving already the bundle files to replace in common https configurations.
The price reduction for multiple years purchase is still unbalanced fro me. Most of the domains are relying on small business that can close soon. So we continue to buy single years certificate. We don't want to pay in advance for something that couldn't be necessary anymore. There are scaling program for big clients that buy many certificates, but I would appreciate programs for 'loyal' clients, like me that are clients from years.
Purchasing the certificate was very easy and affordable, but I had big problems installing the certificate on my server, because the installation instructions provided by SSLs.com were woefully incomplete.
Answer: I have been using them for a couple of years and the certificates work fine for ecommerce.
