It's a good product for an excellent price. The process was generally good, but could do with a little user experience testing - the feedback in some parts of the process is a little too brief. Specifically, at the end of the validation process, you're left a little hanging as to what happens next. Just a brief phrase "Thank you, you have completed the interactive part of the process, you will receive an email within the next day or so (probably hours) detailing the next phase" would be helpful.
Great prices and value for their products. I am a namecheap.com customer. I even have a discounted rate on their regular prices, yet it still doesn't beat ssls.com pricing, and they are sister companies. It would be easier to do this all through namecheap.com since I do my hosting through there but if I have to do it this way to get the better price that is fine, I love the parent company, and the customer service on both sides is great.
Product is what I expect for price paid (or better). Process for installing cert was confusing. I finally figured it out but better documentation would help a lot. Overall, it's a good product at a good price, and hopefully if I do it again, I'll remember the steps.
Good customer service. However, I could not enter a correct phone number because you are using a dropdown for the area code, and mine was not included (214). What kind of programmer does that? Yes, I was a web programmer. I warned you of this problem a year ago, but it never got fixed.
Great experience so far. I already activated some certificates and everything works great. No problems. I found it a great value option for downloading complete package from ssl website. No additional work is needed, everything works out of a box.
I've had to try many times till accomplish the buying due to messages rejecting my credit card(which is ok, by the way). I opened a ticket but I didn't get no satisfactory answer. Today I got the renew with the same credit card, datas, etc.
The interface for adding extra domains to a multi-domain certificate during the ordering process needs to be more clear so that i don't have to repeat the process until i notice that i forgot to press the +add button. Otherwise works like a charm with fast verification and delivery. A new cert can be installed within less than 20 minutes on a good day. More power to SSLs.com!
The payment form was troublesome. It said "Please select from drop down list of countries" but no drop down list appeared. I had to mess with it awhile and as I am busy, I almost gave up and went somewhere else. In the end I got it to work though.
Now this form is getting weird. Name and Email shows [ object HTMLInputElement] I have not entered certificate details and you want to follow me up? Too early, too confusing at this moment.
It needs my email? Am I not logged in or what? Confusing.
Smooth and easy. A bit more assurance would be great during the purchase process (like this "You can enter the domain details and upload the CSR after you've completed the purchase", or something similar)
We had an issue with getting the code for the Site Seal, but that seemed to be a Comodo issue, not SSLs.com. They resolved it quickly with a phone call. Otherwise the process was fairly smooth and efficient.
Easy to buy, hard to activate, not because of SSLs.com but because it required a higher level of technical expertise than I realized going in. A little warning from somewhere would have been appreciated.
I'm our regular customer. 4-5 times per year I purchase wildcard and regular certificates on behalf of my company from corporate account. And now I want to purchase few certs for me personally. Thank you for great service.
Two months back, I had to get to customer support for getting the certs done for new domain suffixes e.g.tech,.place etc. Already the support is now in so one can activate the cert right from the website. Great experience continues, and hope to continue seeing this in future.
It was good and fast. The only thing I didn't like it the fact that after renewing my wildcard ssl certificate I didn't know what to do next. I didn't see any instructions for further actions. Do I need to activate it and replace the old one? If so, how this is different than purchasing a new certificate? (I though renew is auto extend the certificate expiry date).
Regards,
Sahar
Guys,
You're support is best ever seen <3
Last year it was really top, professional, quick and solution-oriented. This year it's the same top quality, WOW!
I must say, with this support I wouldn't change you if they paid me!
Thank you and thanks to lovely super-professional support!
It was almost time for renewal for my ssl, and I was changing domain names and servers, so I contacted SSL'S.com. Although they could not reissue to a different main domain, it was almost ready to expire anyways. I did a quick search to confirm they have some of, if not the lowest prices for the type of ssl I needed.
I made the new purchase, confirmed my information, and in less than a half hour or so I had my new server and domain name running on the new ssl certificate. The process was flawless, and I appreciate the fast process involved with getting an ssl installed.
I did have an ssl here previously, so I new there were no issues with a making an ssl purchase from a company offering lower prices for their products.
Go ahead, it really is painless.
I have dealt with you before and have several more SSL certificates that I will be buying tonight or tomorrow. Your prices are the best and tech support was awesome when I needed it the last time. Hoping it will be as good this time.
SSL is all new to me. The site has been helpful with its options and information. The purchase was easy but I had problems installing the certificate. Online chat help was fantastic. Patient and helpful, resolved my issue and helped me finish my certificate install.
I made a good by buying from this website. My domain registrar sells the same COMODO SSL certificate for 4 times more expensive. The customer support is the best I have ever seen. They helped me with the choosing of the right certificate and with the installation.
Answer: I have been using them for a couple of years and the certificates work fine for ecommerce.
