Buying a certificate is *super* easy and the instructions are incredibly clear. To help those set up SSL on their own server (and send some future orders over to you guys), I wrote a blog post detailing the process while also including information on how to get an A+ SSL rating: https://dsgn.io/thoughts/post/set-up-your-apache-server-with-ssl. I will definitely be ordering again in the future.
Low price usually implies poor quality, however SSLs.com is an exception. The payment process is intuitive and easy to use, the How-To guidelines are easy to follow. Delivery was very quick. One of the smoothest online shopping experiences I've had in recent years.
This is the seventh SSL certificate I have installed. Everyone has given me problems and this one is still not resolved. I do not believe that your customer support knows much more than I do. They try to help me but in the end I always have to pay my Systems Admin to get things working properly.
My only concern was that the site *almost* felt a little bit like a scam, until I saw it was made by the same people who make Namecheap, my registrar of choice. I think the prices are just so much better than listed elsewhere that I was skeptical for a brief minute.
Excellent customer service. The only slight thing I would like to see fixed is the domain issuing process. The part where you download the provate key could be clearer. For example, why not include it it the download of the other keys? I was having problems with this, but your excellent support department helped me through. Cheers!
Excellent Service and i have successfully installed the SSL Certificate on one of my Online Channels. Should you be interested in deploying some of these channels for lead acquisition campaigns (such as landing pages for paid campaigns), www.adservice.online.
Keep your prices low (as they are). The fact someone with knowledge can create their own SSL certificates that are just as secure but aren't "verified" know how easy it is. Those individuals (as I) feel like we are getting ripped off when we have to pay a high price just so the certificate is "verified".
Your price(s) and service made my day.
I'd used another 'cheap ssl' provider previously and never ended up getting a functional SSL Cert. Their customer service also never responded to my emails, so it was money wasted. Using ssls.com was quick, affordable, and effective. Thanks!
Checkout process was confusing - got to the point where I put in credit card, showed shipping info on the confirmation page with no obvious way to update it if it was wrong - I had to dig around to figure it out - should have a like that says "edit" on the confirmation page. Otherwise, it was OK
I know you don't have any control over COMODO, but their verification process was a nightmare, and very ill-explained. Next steps are not obvious, so it produced delays. Luckily I was persistent and got everything figured out.
I always dread SSL renewal time, it always takes more time than it should. I wish we didn't have to deal with multiple companies throughout the process
Purchase and renewal process easy and straightforward; instructions for installation could benefit from a short high-level description of components and their purpose in addition to the multiple step-by-step options. Step-by-step instructions are fine if you call into one of the standard niches (and if they also provide sufficient context; a few do not), but a brief overview of the purpose of each file, where it's generated, and and how SSL works would be helpful to adapt instructions to a non-standard setup. SSLs.com customer followup efficient and complete.
All good, very efficient.
Would be really nice to be able to manually trigger the domain verification (when using a file) since otherwise, as a customer, you just sit there and wait, not knowing if it will be done in a minute or tomorrow.
I had to shut down the site in order to make this file available and had to contact the support in order to check when the validation will take place.
Please don't change. I may at last have found a cert supplier with sensible no-nonsense prices and services. A HUGE range of products and a nice, quick and efficient delivery service. I'll buy a few more and then start moving all my Certs over to you from my current provider.
Pricing is good. But your service is not for the faint hearted. It takes a good reading into SSL-documents to understand everything. You might want to consider updating your documentation and keeping the novice user in mind.
It was for example quite unclear what the files were.
Difference between Key, Cert and CA-Cert was unclear. And the verification step brings you to a different website. The way the different websites work together was also quite unclear.
Good easy cheap purchase.
One comment, when authenticating with a file, it does not tell you what to do after that step. It turns out you just have to wait 20 minutes or so, but that was not clear and I was left wondering what was the next step.
Well, I haven't really finished getting my certificate so this is kind of awkward, my boss is standing here waiting for me to complete the order and you are asking me survey questions? Other than that, I like the process.
I typed the above comment when I was still in the middle of ordering. Two days later they sent me an email asking me to confirm I received my order and the link brought me back to a survey. They really like collecting customer feedback.
Process was not really clear once I purchased. It broke my site - even after manual databasee and code updates. I have a software engineering background, so I can't image an average person trying to incorporate. I am going to cancel my order
It process was a little confusing as I did not know how the flow of purchase to request worked.
If not for the low cost, I would not have purchased from this site based on the pay-first, get later flow.
The installation was tricky. Luckily I've already done this in the past (about a year ago), so I remembered I needed to create a bundle certificate. Unfortunately, when I searched for installation instructions, Google pointed me to an article that no longer exists on comodo's knowledgebase.
Hey we got it done. The install had to be done through the cPanel interface on GoDaddy.com.
Its good. Not entirely surprised, but Mozilla doesn't think much of the certificate, but it is all I need for my members right now.
Thanks
Can't beat the price, I was done with my order in minutes, everything worked great, had one question that was answered in minutes by a courteous live chat rep. I have received better service than I was enjoying from a different provider and -- hear this -- I am pay 15 times less (yes, I was paying the same service 15 times more!).
Answer: I have been using them for a couple of years and the certificates work fine for ecommerce.
