Bad Customer Support
December 2, 2019

Purchased the Autel Evo drone combo with a 3-year warranty from SSE. After a year, one of my batteries went bad so I sent it back to SSE for a replacement. They tested the battery and said it was good. I debated with them that they should just replace it because it could be defective in certain conditions or temperatures, but they refused. So, they sent it back to me. I used that bad battery once just to test it again. It worked good. However, a month later, that same battery went bad while I was in flight. I almost lost the drone over water. Fortunately, the drone was close enough to shore, that we had to bring it down manually since it was not responding to the RTH button. My buddy (6'7") had to jump up to grab it. Luckily he did not cut his fingers from the spinning props. Anyway, I'm just going to buy a new battery since SSE failed to honor my 3-year warranty. I will never do business with SSE Photo and Video. If looking for a drone or other electronics, I recommend B&H, Droneworks or Carolina Dronz.

First off when you get ahold of someone they are extremely rude and put you on hold for about 5 seconds probably to bad mouth the customer (since they forgot to hit mute once and i heard them- rude. Told them i want the mavic mini with everything possible and money was not an issue, opened my package and both extra batteries where missing even though it says it was sent in the packing receipt. Had to call 8 times to get it fully resolved, first 5 times they said they would look into it and call my in an hour so i would wait a few hours and never heard back so i called them back, come to find out the batteries on back order, unbelievable terrible customer service. I also told them i wanted a battery charger since i was getting 2 extra batteries and the guy i ordered it from said yup ok we can do that. So they did refund me the money for the 2 batteries after trying to lowball me, i did order 2 batteries elsewhere but did have to pay extra for shipping on the batteries so i got screwed my sss again. Do not bothering ordering from these rude, employees who should not be dealing with the public

LOW-INTEGRITY MERCHANT

Problem with PRODUCT: I purchased the Olympus Tough TG-6 Camera because of it's high ratings as a durable camera including ‘Waterproof-rated to IPX8 for use underwater to depths of 50 feet'. I carefully read the use instructions and used the camera as instructed in shallow water (less than 5') on a vacation at the beach. Water got in and the camera stopped working- (this all happened in the first few days of use). I filled-out a service request at Olympus' website and received no response.

Problem with MERCHANT- SSE Photo & Video: I had purchased the camera thru Amazon from SSE Photo & Video. The return options listed on the website required I return the camera & all accessories (no option to simply swap for a new camera only). After we sent the camera back I received notification that the merchant would be charging a restocking fee $194.50. I called SSE's customer service number and was told that the restocking fee was a mistake, and they would credit the balance of the return to my credit card (but to allow 3 to 5 business days). I checked my CC the following week and found no credit. I called SSE again- this time I was told that the ‘re-stocking fee' was due to ‘User-Inflicted-Damage' which was not covered by warrantee. Essentially, I must have not sealed the battery door properly because water got in. It was an SSE technician which made that call (unsure of any actual position from Olympus).

I absolutely guarantee that I had sealed the battery door prior to use per user-manual. SSE's position seems to be that the camera will not fail unless it is the fault of the user. I have engaged in 2 fruitless phone calls with SSE and they refuse to change their position. I am in the process of working thru Amazon and then will appeal to my credit card company for relief. I would recommend caution with this camera and steer-clear of SSE Photo & Video.

Their website says in stock. 3 days later they cancel the order because it's not in stock. That's just unprofessional, and wastes everyone's time

SCAM OF A COMPANY

I purchased a 5D Mark IV "new" through google shopping with SSEpphotovideo and it arrived with a defective screen, without a manual or warranty card, and as an open box camera. Upon returning this product the seller (SSEPhotovideo) rejected my return stating that the item was "missing package" and "signs of use." I sent the package without the plastic baggies and that was grounds for this store to reject the return. SSE sent the package back to me and I took the time to record the the unboxing. The "signs of use" were specs of dust and finger smudges on the screen.
I've been wronged and scammed by this company along with GOOGLE SHOPPING. Do not buy from google shopping. I tried to get google involved and they didn't realize that SSE never addressed the camera being defective upon rejecting the returned camera from me. Google asked them and the SSE strore claimed they were reiterating saying there were signs of use, missing packaging, and NOW they mentioned it was defective when it was in their best interest. Long story short, I'm out $1900. Yes, $1900 when the 5D IV is $2500. This should've been my first red flag. Don't buy from SSE. SSE I hope you get the karma that's coming to you.
