I ordered a mavic 2 from them. They shipped FedEx and driver was unable to get signature. They never tried a second time, they never contacted me about the problem to schedule a time to deliver or have me pick it up at FedEx location. They just requested it be sent back. When I called FedEx they told me seller told them to send it back. I told FedEx I hadn't given permission for it to be shipped back. They told me I was just the recipient and they didn't need my permission.
Then I called and emailed about it. Was told I'd get a reply in 48 hours. I waited 72 hours and they never contacted me. So, I had to contact main website about it. Got put on 3 way call and then the customer service guy started trying to talk over me. I told him to wait until I was done because I needed to express what was going on. I was stern, but did not yell at him, he told me I had to deal with the website and hung up on me.
They are the biggest liars. I called before placing order to make sure they had stock and paid for overnight. Next day received half of my order, then they lied again saying FEDEX had not picked up the 2nd box which they did not have a tracking number for. 2 days later my box had not shipped still. LIARS! UNPROFESSIONAL!
Saw the canon sx740 for a good price. Ordered and paid for it. Didn't come when they indicated Should have know from them. They sent the canon sx730 with no explanation or justify why I didn't get what I ordered. Buyer beware. If I wanted the sx730 I would have ordered the sx730
Title says it all. Got around to using my camera after 6 months of purchase and the mem card reader was dead. Nikon wont touch it as SSE is not an authorized retailer. SSE refused to service it.
I'm a professional photographer and was looking for the newest model of the Canon EF 2x II Extender. Normally I buy from B&H Photo in NCY, but they didn't have it in stock (and they have EVERYTHING in stock) and it was listed as backordered. Canon's own website store listed is as not available. A search of 14 different online photo equipment suppliers all listed it as not in stock. Even Amazon listed it as not available. I happened upon SSE PhotoVideo and their web site has it 'in stock'. Every other place on the planet had it backordered/unavailable/not in stock and this company has it. Before I got too excited about that, the alarm bells started going off, so I emailed their support email address listed on their site and asked for some clarification. 1. Was it actually in stock or was that a ruse to get people to buy. 2. If it was in stock, was it a true CanonUSA item or was it Canon 'Gray Market' (Items not carried by Authorized Canon distributors, and made for foreign markets). I fell for that ploy several years ago and ended up with a lens that had all the Canon markings, but came in a gray (hence the name) box signifying a non-usa item. My answer from them? Silence. Not a peep. They just didn't respond, which made me think I was right on either or both counts. Once I started reading the reviews on this company, I'm glad they didn't have it in stock. From what I've read, they are not reliable at all; unprofessional; refuse to honor returns, even when the fault is theirs; and either send out the wrong product or don't send it at all. Pretty sure I'll never do business with them.
I bought a Nikon Coolpix P900, great camera, paid regular price for it. My wife dropped it and the lens broke so we sent it to Nikon to have it repaired. Turns out that SSE Photo and Video sells grey import camera's and Nikon refuses to repair or service grey import equipment. (which I think is stupid but that is for a Nikon review). So we returned the camera to SSE to have them repair it. They said they could and for a reasonable price. But they have the camera for almost 6 weeks and no matter what, I can not get an update on repair status, they reply on emails that they will find out and let me know but they don't, I have called them several times and they promise to get back to me but they never do. So now I am without a camera and getting really pissed off with SSE, I understand that it can take longer to repair stuff due to Covid but they just do not get back to you in spite of promises and that is just super frustrating! It is the last thing I will ever buy there and I urge everyone to steer clear of this extremely customer unfriendly company, once the sell is made they don't give a damn!
Bought an iPad Mini 4 thru Google Express fulfilled by SSE Photo Video on Dec 29,2018.
They 'sent me an email 12/31/18 to say the 'created a label' and that my shipment was on its way w a delivery date of 1/8/19. They charge my credit card. I start tracking it everyday from 1/3/19 but up until 1/8/19 Fed Ex still has not received it. I start a series of calls and emails to Google Express and SSE. I now received a new email w a new delivery date of 1/14/19. STAY AWAY FROM SSE PHOTO VIDEO! THEY ARE SCAMMERS!
Updated... I was finally shipped my camera on 7/8 but the SSE sent it so that I, the customer could not make any changes to the shipment. I was not home, FEDEX would not leave the package not could I pick it up. I had to call and email SSE several times just get them to hold it for pickup! I finally received my camera, and get this it's a PAL (European) model. I called them and they said that because it's past the 14 day return policy there was noting I could do, even though THEY sent me in the incorrect camera. Now I have a camera that I cannot use with my setup. SSE is a fraud and a joke. Again I would recommend you to shop somewhere else. The customer service is a joke! Once they have their money they could care less about you.
I would not recommend this company, I placed two orders one on 6/28 and the another on 6/30 and today is 7/5 and I have not received my order nor a tracking number for my order. I have tried to call but no answer, I have received email correspondence but only to say that my order is still in process. I even asked for a estimated shipment date and they advised me that they could not commit. This is VERY poor customer service and a bad way to handle business. I would steer clear away from this company. I am highly disappointed.

I purchase a Nikon p900 for my wife for birthday from Google sold by SSE Camera. The camera arrived broken the LCD display would light up but only display only line. I contacted google and they issued a return UPS label and advised that we would have to wait for the camera to arrive SSE. It has been over ten at this point and they have failed to credit back the credit card or even acknowledge the camera has been returned to them even though the UPS tracking shows delivered.
After contacting Google several times SSE said that "the credit will come soon"
Hard to know what that means.
Item ordered arrived quickly, however it was an open box item and not a new lens, the store does not inform you that items listed on their site is open box or used or grey market. Buyers Beware...
I went on SSE website to order a Osmo Action. Before ordering I called to make sure they were in stock. Well to make a long story short after paying extra to have my order sent within 2-3 day it never came. I called to see where my order was and they never sent it out. They were very rude and got upset when I told the I would call PayPal for a refund. I'm so happy I didn't order a EOS R from them! DONT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT THE REVIEWS SAY!
I ordered a Canon Rebel SL3 w/ 18-55 STM lens kit April 27th with overnight shipping. Upon arrival I realized they sent the wrong kit with a standard IS lens. After about a month of calling and emailing back and forth (and cancelling a photography trip because of this) I finally got the STM lens I ordered. I'm not sure if this would have been corrected if I had not called at least 10 times, because I only got 1 response to the numerous emails I sent regarding this issue.
To top it off, they sent out a gray market 250D (not warrantied in US), which I realized about a week and a half after ordering it. I decided to forego trying to return it due to the hassle of trying to get the correct lens. They eventually got me the lens but it's not worth the hassle to do business with them. Buyer beware.
On Black Friday via Google, I found a great online price from SSE PhotoVideo for a GoPro Hero 7 camera. The website had it listed for $229.00. By all indications it was a new camera. Thinking I had lucked out on a great deal, I ordered it. I then received an email confirming my order and advising that it would be processed and shipped faster if I could call their store. I tried to call the number given for customer service but the recording said they were closed. I tried again today after receiving a second such email and opted to choose "sales" and not "customer service." The Agent advised that they were calling to advise me that the reason I got such a good deal was that the camera open box and then admitted it was used. They would not honor the agreement and ship me a new one for the advertised price. Then they were argumentative about other prices being advertised on Black Friday ($299( at Best Buy, Walmart, Target etc. saying that they were likely open box prices as well. I cancelled the order and hope to find a good price on Cyber Monday. Beware that they are advertising used items as new and think that by "telling" you after other sales have ended that you will fell stuck to stick with their order.

So I ordered a nikon coolpix p900 on may 5th, it was pretty late so they got back to me about it the next day. They called asked what kind of battery I wanted the 2 hour or 4 hour long. I said 2 hour, and waited and waited, then I got a confirmation email may 15th asking if I'd gotten the camera, and if it hadn't arrived yet, to wait 24-48 hours so I did, I emailed them yesterday(May 16th), it was pretty early this time around 1ish, they got back to today(May 17th) saying oh your order was cancelled, we were out of stock, if a customer orders something while we're shipping out we'll let them know its out of stock. I didn't get anything about its out of stock, nothing, and it's like if you were really gonna tell me that you let customers know its out of stock when you find out, why'd you wait so long to inform me, when I had to email you about it first.
I purchased a camera from Walmart.com that came from SSE Photo. The reason I selected them over other places was because it said that it would arrive in two days (on a Wednesday). I had a crew ready on Wednesday to use the camera. Fedex showed up today (the promised delivery date) and no package. I contacted Walmart.com who said that the delay was from SSE Photo. I called SSE Photo and was told that they "all" were on "holiday" Monday and Tuesday so they shipped it when they returned (today) and that it will arrive on Friday. FYI, as far as I can tell, there are no official holidays in Union, in NJ, or in the United States on September 30-Oct 1. The website and confirmation email lied about the arrival day. Apparently SSE did not communicate to Walmart last week to tell them that orders this week would be delayed because of their holiday. SSE did nothing to contact me to tell me it would be delayed. SSE offered nothing to help. Completely disappointed in this transaction from all angles.

OMG, I'm so glad I did. This was the BEST PURCHASE ever! My canon came with EVERYTHING MY SL2 WILL EVER NEED, including the mic, and light attachement, 64 gb card, batteries, and over 10 different lenses! Plus a tripod, and a gorilla pod. 1 backpack & 1 camera bag... ETC!

Answer: I purchased a Nikon D3500 supposedly New. The box clearly states Manufacturer Warranty Included in Box. There was no warranty or product registration in box. I called Ssephoto and they stated " That's because we give you a ninety 90 warranty " this is highly suspicious. They had to open the box to remove the warranty cards or they are not doing full disclosure and passing refurbished items as new.
