I tried to file a claim over a week ago. I never gave them an email but they said I did and that I had to change it and wait 24-48 hours. It's been a week later and I keep getting told please wait 1-2 more business days.
I sent them some Sony Headphones to be repaired. I clearly told them to deliver it to a different address. Of course they sent it to the wrong address. I'm so disappointed! These headphones were expensive and I was using them to study with. I will never buy this SquareTrade insurance again. They are horrible.
I filed a claim on a sectional couch from Biglots. It was two pieces which meant I had two separate policies. They approved one but denied the second even though it was the same piece of furniture. I selected a refund check for my claim and they sent my a gift card. The 8th time I called I was told they don't offer refund checks for that merchant, asked to speak to a supervisor that told me that was a lie and that it was their fault but since the gift card was issued their was nothing they can do. SquareTrade claims 1 free replacement, exactly how to I replace a two piece sectional couch with $350!
This company consistently lied about tv replacement after they half fixed the problem. I shipped tv to them to repair which lasted less than a year. The pixels fell again and they lied about replacement, and then they promised a refund and lied about sending it. And by the way the TV was under manufacture warranty not even the one I paid extra to them.
When I filed my claim for my extremely large area rug, the process was redundant. They kept asking for the same thing over and over again AFTER telling me that my photos were received. AFTER telling me my affidavit was received. It was a horrible process. Then I was told I would hear from someone in 1-2 business days about pmnt. I waited 5 days n called back after not hearing anything. I was told to wait 1-2 moe business days. I hope whatever store I purchase from in the future does not use Squaretrade. I have so many calls on my phone to the company for the same issue. It took too many calls for a resolution. I hated everything about the process. No thank you!

Do not ever get all state protection plan (square trade) Bought a printer from Walmart with a protection plane in March of 2022. It broke in September of the same year. But was ok because I had the protection plan. Worse day of my life square trade has the worse customer service, 1st they ask is if I called the company that made the printer, why would I need to when I didn't buy it from them. Got a box set it form them to pick up the printer. Should have know something was wrong when I got the printer with in days. When I got the printer back I had to send it back because it had an error message on the screen. Again they ask if I called the company. After weeks of having the printer the second time they could not fix it. The only option with out asking me was a Walmart gift card. Could not get a straight answer as to why that was my only option with my money was a Walmart gift card. It was up to all states protection plan not the customer on how the money get refunded.
I did eventually get a replacement, but it was completely through Amazon. They clearly knew that SquareTrade wasn't going to uphold their end. When I called SquareTrade, the first thing they did was transfer me to multiple people, all with long holds, all with excuses why they weren't the right department. I just went to Amazon to complain and they handled it in 15 minutes.

I have now been trying to file a claim for an air mattress protection plan I bought, through Home Depot with Square Trade… It has taken 5 days just to get my documents reviewed, and approved, so that I can start to file the claim. Ellica, a supervisor in claims could not tell me when the documents would be approved, or if there is anything else needed. She was completely useless, and SquareTrade is wasting money paying her a salary… To say that I am dissatisfied with this company's performance is an understatement. I will Never purchase another protection plan product from this company again!

I really wish there was the option to give them negative star ratings. I lost my iPhone 14 pro max on 13th February in Birmingham (harborne high street). I have been calling them and provided them with every unnecessary requirements they requested but they closed my claim for no reason. This is the most pathetic and unapologetic company.
The representatives are so rude and do not even bother to listen to your stituation. BEWARE as three company directs you to this insurance company when you buy insurance from them and then do not pay attention to your despair. It's the most pathetic experience I have ever had with any company. Please stay away from them.
Buyers be aware of Square Trade a division of Walmart Allstate Protection Plan when you purchase warranties. Walmart gives you credit Only for purchased price of the item. For warranties, you have to contact Allstate Prot. Plan. Even if you file a claim for refund, that does not guarantee you will receive a credit, it requires repeat efforts to get your money back. I suggest to contact Walmart CEO by email or tel.
This company is ridiculous. I had a policy with them for 15 months. I needed a cracked I-phone screen repaired and went through their process. I was APPROVED and paid a $74.25 deductible and was to be sent an approval e-mail to take to a repair store to get the repair done. Because my e-mail on file was entered incorrectly by them as brain@... instead of Brian@... I never got the email. I was told I had to update my account and prove I had coverage. 5 days later still no resolution after multiple calls and e-mails and their supervisors supposedly escalating the issue. One agent even "found" my policy that I was supposed to prove I had per their policy. Now I am having to dispute the charge to my credit card since I never received what I paid for and multiple supervisors couldn't seem to make a common sense decision to simply send what was needed to the correct e-mail. Extremely disappointed and canceling my policy.
I purchased and immediately returned a power recliner from Wayfair. I have been given no choice but, to contact my bank to dispute the furniture warranty part of my purchase. Wayfair and Allstate are yet to refund my 5 year warranty for a item that was immediately returned. Allstate was called twice. Wayfair was called numerous times. I am disputing the missing refund with my bank. Allstate likes to haggle in emails and has done nothing to correct this issue and offer me an instant refund of my money. I would give their service zero stars. It has been a terrible experience and they have done nothing to correct this situation.
It was explained the 4 year extended service plan began at the conclusion on the 1 year warranty giving me 5 years total. Well a little past 4 years the Vizio died. Sorry I was told the 4 year Extended? Warranty ran concurrently with the 1 year warranty thus they denied what I was told I paid for. I guess extended service means you in essence paid for 4 additional years but get 3... why was that not explained? Lastly I have never gotten less than 10 years service from any of the many TVs I have owned and in fact more than 10 years on most. This says all you need to know about Vizio and Costco warranty providers. Wish I had kept receipt as there was no mention it ran concurrently with the mfg warranty. I through it away with the trash(Vizio)
BUYER"S BEWARE. This company is easy to sign up for and that is where it ends. Filing claims and canceling is made nearly impossible. My advice is to stay away from any product or service using the Square Trade/ Allstate name. You've been warned.
When I first purchased my PC back in 2021, there were issues with the DP port and some of the USB ports. I was able to work around the issues as I have multiple DP ports and usb ports. The Bluetooth was definitely not working correctly when it came to audio playback. It was until the aux port stopped working that I decided to send it back to Squaretrade. They fixed the Bluetooth and hopefully fixed the USB ports. What they didn't do was fix the DP port. I have three DP ports. Two now do not respond at all. The one that does has a whole bunch of green lines running across the screen. None of my HDMI ports work at all now and that was never an issue before. Now I have to send it back again. Squaretrade is trash.
Do not buy a warranty from these guys. I bought my HP printer at Office max and paid for this warranty.
I have had to run through so many hoops to try to get my printer fixed. I have given up and just bought a new printer
I spent over 5 hours within a 2-week period, communicating with customer service. They transferred me, suggested I complete the claim online, online suggested I call a different 1-800 number because it was not their department. I called and I was transferred a total of three times because none of them were the correct department. The end result, the claim was not covered because it was not a mechanical issue, which it was but they did not care and tried to sell me some other crappy plan.
I bought the furniture policy for an outdoor umbrella - the umbrella broke during a storm - (no it was not upright) and they refuse to cover it citing that weather is not covered ALTHOUGH the policy information you're sent does not state that in writing as an exclusion. They offered me the $ back that I paid for the plan but refuse to cover the loss. Don't waste your $ - the point of insurance is to indemnify you in the case of a loss. To spread the loss and hope there aren't any. Ie: they hope to collect your cash and hope you forget the policy. Don't do it - simply not worth it!
I bought a chair from Staples and purchased the Square Trade protection. I was told by both Staples and Square Trade that wear from everyday use and even damage caused by animals was covered. I submitted a claim because the seat is tearing and uncomfortable to sit on and my claim was immediately denied with no explanation and no consideration. I will never purchase from Square Trade, Staples, Allstate or any company associated with either one of them again!
Wasted so much time - SQT has deducted my $1 ID verification six times (!) and still did not process my trade-in credit. Not an issue with my credit card or bank, their support email address is defunct and so is their actual mobile phone contact. JB HIFI can't help either. Why are JB hooked up with such a known shonky outfit.
Answer: Company takes forever doing anything. Refuses refunding when it cant repair something and will make up an excuse to void the warranty.
