Banned our well known recording studio for no reason without any explanation or further communication. We really relied on Square's interface and are having a nightmare experience after they banned us and decided to also hold our funds for 90 days. I really wish Square would just treat their customers better because I absolutely love their product, their customer service is just so bad and so immoral and now I see thousands of other people are experiencing the same situation as our recording studio. We will be doing everything we can to get our experience the attention it deserves as Square is truly ran by a disgusting team of people. It has been 48 hours since the ban, if anything changes we will update here.

So I am a entrepreur who opened a 4 mobile locations and was thrilled to find a convenient CC processing company called Square. I was able to find the card swipers and chip readers at Office Depot and Walmart. Everything was smooth for a couple of weeks. Then they sent me a email requesting info on 4 charges. I provided them with the receipts from the transactions. Three days later they sent me an email informing me my business was high risk and they held my money hostage for 60 days. No customs complained we had no problems with any transactions. I had to scramble to find a replacement (went with Chase CC processors) This company will put you in very bad situations.

I was selling on the app and I refunded my customer due to their app having issues. The customer had a pending refund that then disappeared. I contacted Square customer service 7 different times and was told 7 different things. Disconnected twice and told verbatim in chat "we will no longer be discussing this with you" The customer had a printout from the bank showing that there is nothing pending, only a posted amount. The customer did a three way call with me and there bank where they confirmed that square sent a refund and then withdrew it and no deposits were coming in and that the original deposit had been sent back. When I told square this, they refused to help. So the money has been stolen by Square. I have documentation of everything and screen recorded all conversations. I am hoping to find someone to help me expose this company for the frauds they are. 7 different people and none of them helped.

Square my a deposit into my account the started taken money out of my account i don't have no idea how they got my account information be careful.

Square is not secured.
It is not secured for the retailer from some customers.
Some customers will dispute and take your sales back from Square Payment Dispute.
They just won and took the money back after they purchased your item from square online.
The reason the retailer lost is that the customers' information is not correct.
I called them and their best answer that there are no security options for the customers name matching. They can't do anything from the unknown customers. The only security option is the Risk Management but It doesn't work and no security options for the customers info like name or address.
That is how they are talking. I do not recommend the online sales from Square.

I got charged 5 times last night at 5 am and woke up to a message from my bank about fraudulent charges. Some site have users that say "we realized it was actually a taxi or a farmers market." Those are fake. Don't use this service.

This is a very bad company. Thieves to say the least about this company. Disguise their emails under other peoples names and when you send the money it goes to them.

I have a business that is mobile, I had a customer pay me with his credit card, I processed the payment, then a day later Square sent me a message saying that they deactivated my account. They didn't give me a reason why, then I emailed them a lot of times and they responded, saying that they would deposit my money in 90 days. I think that is ridiculous, why should they hold my money hostage like that. I will never used them again, I hope other people see my post, stay away from them go with a better merchant account company. I have reported them to the bbb, I submitted a review, I think people need to be aware of this.

I had a client pay me with a card so I used my square reader/account. About 3 weeks later I received an email from Square saying that the customer had canceled that payment and gave me instructions on how to go about issuing a refund or fighting the cancelation. Since I figured the person probably just forgot she paid me, I decided to to 'fight' the cancelation. In Square's email notification they said this was a time sensitive matter and so I must act quickly. I filled out the information asked of me right away and send it back to square via their website. I never heard anything back from them. I tried emailing their customer service and never got an response. I just wanted to know if the customer received this information so that they didn't think someone was committing fraud with their card! My boss who also uses Square decided to email them after I had had no luck. Square responded promptly to her. With in an hour or two. She responded and explained my situation to which they then asked for more information about the 'case'. She explained what had happened with the cancelation and that I had followed the steps outlined in their email to me but that I had yet to hear anything back from them and that further more, they were not returning any emails to me at all. They suddenly stopped responding to my boss after receiving that last email. I never did hear anything from them. I ended up having the charges refunded to the customer and just had her come pay me by check. Im extremely disappointed in their lack of customer service there. It upsets me because any time Ive had an issue in the past about deposits they've been very prompt and helpful. But apparently when you want to make sure everyone gets their money, client and business owner alike, they don't seem to care too much for that
