Although, I love this store and I always buy my children's costumes here. I decided to by an adult costume. It was sized 2-6 (women's) and I normally wear 2-4 so I figured it would fit and I was in a hurry (of course it's the Saturday before Halloween) I did not try it on at the store. Mistake. I get home and I take out the top for the outfit and I can't even get it over my head.
The sizes are misleading and need to be corrected. The prices are outrageous. If I buy a costume and return it the next day unworn I should get a full refund.
I will NEVER step foot in one of these stores again! Was in a hurry today, and bought 2 sizes of the same costume, thinking I'd take the one back that didn't fit. Went home, tried on my costumes, and brought back the one that didn't fit 2 hours later. Well, they wouldn't give me my money back, because they said they don't do returns after 10/21. Well, no where in the store said that! Their response was that it was on my receipt! Well hello, you have to make a purchase to obtain a receipt! The manager was so rude! I'm still in shock! Guess I'm going to try and count on my credit card to dispute it! Oh, and this was the store in New Hartford, NY!
I am completely disturbed and feel completely disrespected. The fact that Spirit Halloween has the audacity to have a president Biden mask that is completely normal, while on the other hand the president Trump mask is dipicted with an enlarged nose almost like pinocchio. As a republican I feel completely overlooked and almost like they are mocking me. Shut it down!
Ordered a few costume pieces i was missing from my costume. First Red Flag was not being able to use the tracking on my order. First they tell me they shipped it out, but i can see clearly that they have not and have instead shipped out 5 days later. No info on the tracking of my item and they have marked it as completed yet NO PACKAGE!
Almost a week later i did recieve package but tracking was completely useless. I wasn't missing any items, but two of the items were damaged/ defected.
The biggest defect was a missing part on the cane they sent me. I wish i saw the reviews here before ordering and i can assure you im not ordering from their site again after all the stress worry and confusion they gave me about my package.
I would advise others to not take the risk.
Worse service ever. If you order from Canada there is no way to track your package even though you get emails saying to "click on the links below" which are non existent-IE there were no links. I was diverted to live chat which was never on or does not work in Canada. So I phoned where the wait was so long they said they would call back but never did. Halloween is in two days-I paid a rush order and no costume for my young son even though it was suppose to be here yesterday. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered other costumes from Halloweencostumes.ca which arrived early and easy to track online without help.
Back the first week of October, they had a Halloween display up but nothing at all from this display was actually in stock. Nothing! None of the staff seemed to have a clue. I asked if I could buy the clown that was I display since no-one were in store so told Oct 20 they would sell it and they had a waiting list which I filled out and was first on the list they said they would call on the 20th and I'd feet a discount since it was a display piece. I called them today the 20th and they say we sold the clown a few days ask. Wtf! I said why have a waiting list if you're not even going to use it? They were so rude the manager is a joke completely unprofessional, rude, disrespectful and a liar. Do not waste your time at this location.
I ordered plates, napkins, and cups for my son's birthday party. After a very long wait period - which went beyond what they stated for shipping. Then I receive my shipment and it's a partial order - the majority of my order was on back order for 6 weeks past when I ordered it online.
I tried calling them but couldn't get through. I then went online... a 3 minute conversation took 20 because the person on the other end took ages to respond.
Absolute garbage and pathetic... will never, ever do business with this company.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE VENDOR!
Yeah STAY FAR AWAY! Ordered a costume on the 4th of October and paid for the expedited shipping but it has been 19 days but it has yet to ship... They said that it could take 15-25 days and they cant refund it because its in transit but it clearly said that the label has been printed but has yet to be sent out... don't waste your time or money

If I could give this company negative stars and warn buyers, I would. Please don't down your hard earned money to order from these frauds. I went into the store looking for a "Stitch" costume for my 6 month old grandson. They didnt have it in stock but said free two day shipping to my home for them to order it online. So I did. Then, the next day I got an email saying it was shipped. Gave me a tracking number, so when it didn't arrive when it was supposed to i clicked on the tracking number. It told me a label was created the day I got the email, but no postal facility has received the package. And it still says that. But the company website says the order is completed, and there is no way to contact these people. The phone number just keeps sending you in a loop for hours telling you to stay on the line. You can't email them. And it says on the recording for super fast help click on the live chat button on the top of their website. There is no live chat button.
I ordered a dorothy costume online as well as some silver face makeup for my childs tin man costume this year. Would you know my surprise when he opens the package I think is going to contain makeup and he pulls out a bunny rabbit vibrator/dildo. He then proceeds to ask me why his makeup bottle is in the shape of a $#*! and why are there two of them. This was mortifying as I had a family friend over at the time and they were alarmed as well. I had to pull up my order confirmation just to make sure I didn't make a mistake somewhere on the site but I didn't there was my silver makeup in the confirmation and a pink dildo in my living room. Safe to say I will not be ordering from spirit again! I don't want to risk getting another dildo. Oh and the package was addressed to me so it wasn't a screw up of me not noticing another name.

I have purchased for 15 years and every year they come out with new animatronics so they do not have to fix the broken ones, every year the one I bought the year before no longer works and the Zombie doctor says "sorry that is no longer in stock so we cannot help you". I have ten animatronics that no longer work and noone can help. Run from Spirit, do not by, do not borrow do not rent. They sell garbage it will work for one year only. I will never buy another thing from Spirit of Halloween.

This store is horrible. Calling the cops on someone who went in to buy a product. All the lights were on in the store, doors were open, no closed signs, and with up to 10 people in the back you would think someone would greet their customer. Someone wanting to go in and buy their products. #horribleservice #discrimination
My son has medical condition that requires medical supplies to be with us at all times. To carry everything i have a backpack for this. When we walked into the store there was a man at the door who said we have to leave the backpack by the door. I said that wasn't possible because of my sons medical condition. He got his manager they said to put the backpack by the door. I offered to show them the medical supplies they didn't want to see them and said it goes by the door or out to the car. My son and husband ended up in the car while i got the costume. Normally I'd walk out but my son had his heart set on a specific costume we couldn't find anywhere else. And to add insult to injury they were taking donations for children's hospital, and there not friendly to children with medical conditions. Long story short would not recommend or be going here next year.
My visit to spirit at Legacy Crossing in Marion Ohio what is a five star shopping experience because of one person Justine not only assisted me finding all of the hocus-pocus costumes and accessories that I needed but she went above and beyond to get me the "teeth" to complete my Winnie Sanderson costume that were sold out nearly everywhere. Justine is personable, knowledgeable, and very helpful. In a word, she's the best!
I ordered over $100 worth of costumer and accessories and they were not delivered before Halloween.
I did not accept the order and I called several times and they still have not refunded my money!
Be careful with this company!

Ok so this is my first AND last time shopping at spirit because of how racist the workers were, how they make their return policy's because I bought something a day after final sales and someone should sue their asses for this, they are making billions every year because they rip people off with poor quality products, cheap robots that break easily, and also everything in general, hope their pyramid scheme falls and burns in hell

I ordered my son's costume Oct 12th and 11 phone calls, 112 minutes of my time wasted (not including emails, facebook messenger, live chat) rude customer service reps, being hung up on, not being able to speak to a manager, not able to get a refund, them shipping my son's costume to California instead of Michigan and we still don't have a costume. They did take my money with no issues. I have filed a dispute with paypal in hopes to atleast get my money back. Still have a heartbroken 3 year old at home :( I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as well and by the looks of all of these horrible reviews, I hope others do to!
I bought my 10 year old son a Fortnite Drift costume online a couple weeks ago and when we received it both gloves were left handed. I tried to contact them through live chat for days every time with it being "offline". Finally after about 5 attempts I was able to reach them and they told me the only way I could get the right handed glove was to drive to my nearest Spirit Halloween store which is in Murfreesboro, Tn. An hour away. I called the Murfreesboro store and the manager told me the couldn't ship anything out from the stores. So... after working all day I had to drive 2 hours total to get a glove that should have been in what I purchased. MY GAS AND MY TIME!
And they act like they don't even care and it's YOUR problem! I believe they have gotten too big for their britches!
My advice... go somewhere else.

I ordered a presale item (which they make you pay then) which stated the item would arrive in 30 days. I waited 40 days before calling and was told the item was pushed back for 15 days, so I would receive it in 6 to 8 days. I then waited 10 days and still no item so I called back and was told it was pushed back again and would be deliver by the end of the month. It is now the end of the month and still no item so I called back and again told it would be 10 more days. I hope this helps not buy here. They lie and tell you they would email updates and call you back but that was a lie to. They just tell you anything to get you off the phone. I will report fraud to the credit card. Worst customer service.
