I would have to say that I am highly disappointed in Spirit. I went to this store in hopes of finding a costume for both Halloween and a event that my husband and i are suppose to dress in a costume for. We go there , and we were lucky to find a very small handful of costumes that were in the plus size category. Meanwhile, the store was PACKED with tons of different costumes for the smaller size category . Big disappointment!
I called customer service to ask a question about a return. I sat on hold for 26 min. Once it was my turn, I was automatically forwarded the computer system that I had to put my phone number in to get a call back. So I did that and it said I would be called back in 1 minute. I never got a call. Tried calling again and couldn't get through. I tried messaging them and got no response. By the time I did, I could no longer make the return. They have no sympathy/empathy for people. No willingness to help people, or understanding of life events that happen or willingness to accommodate you. I shop here every year for costumes and will not be back next year.
A FRIEND AND I HAVE BOUGHT A TOTAL OF 7 INFLATABLE COSTUMES FOR $100 A PIECE AND MOST THE FANS CRAP OUT WITHIN AN HOUR OR SO OF USE. THEY DO NOT SELL REPLACEMENT FANS NOR DO THEY TRY TO RESLOVE THE ISSUE. DISGUSTING REALLY. DO BETTER SPIRIT HALLOWEEN...UP THE QUALITY FOR THE PRICES OF YOUR MERCHANDISE
If u can get a hold of customer service u will likely get hung up on. Second call also got hung up on!

This business is a terrible place to work. Stocking, organization,workers don't help other, customers have no respect for the store they also steal. I didn't even have to work on Friday had a chiropractor appointment yet was told to come in and I hurt my back I was told to bring a doctor's note or I'll be terminated brought the doctors note was told I would have 2 other workers to help as per the note requested. They did not follow the note they forced me to get on a day I wasn't scheduled also the year before this broke my hand there and my boss took me to the hospital gave insurance to the doctors and it failed I contacted my boss and he said it was my problem. Spirit Halloween does not care for their employees.

I ordered a costume for my son since we couldn't find it in stores near us. They charged me $20 for shipping just to have the costume come incomplete. All of the accessories came but the costume itself didn't, they didn't contact me to say anything about this problem until after the accessories were delivered just to say that the costume was out of stock... I literally payed an extra $20 just for accessories. When I contacted customer service they didn't do anything to help and said that in order to return the accessories that didn't make sense without the actual costume, I had to pay shipping again.

While shopping in the Vestal NY store the staff that watches for thefts made us feel extremely uncomfortable watched every single move and weren't even trying to be discreet about what they were doing it was completely obnoxious how they were acting towards us and oth customers will never go back.

This is the worst experience I have had with shipping. I paid almost $14.00 to be able to get priority shipping and the promised day was October 14th. Today I was surprised cause I didn't get it and when I went to check the status said that is gonna be delivered on the 16th. I'm having a party tomorrow. What's the point of offer a service that you can accomplish! And live chat customers services was not helpful at all either. They didn't even try

Long story short as I have REPEATEDLY submitted cases against them I bought a defective item on 11/01/2020 complained same day. Returned their junk. They state they submitted a refund request on 11/12/2020. I still have not received my money back. I have no product nor money.
Ordered a costume for my grandaughter and paid $12.49 for expedited shipping and was given a specific shipping date (which is why I paid the extra). It did not make it that day. Wrote Customer service and told these dates are not guaranteed even though they are shown during checkout. They sent me a link from elsewhere on their website saying if you order after a certain time, dates aren't guaranteed even though they are showing these dates on the checkout page. Very misleading. All I asked for was a refund of the difference of the expedited shipping cost which they refused to do. I would never purchase another thing from this company.
I specifically asked the cashier if item was returnable and was told that item can be returned for cash back up until 10/23 but after the 23rd only exchange or store credit.
She didn't tell me that after the 26th neither exchange nor credit would be available. No signage by the register, only small print on the receipt which I didn't look at since cashier told me herself "her version" of the return policy.

I ordered a boy's costume and received some weird zombie statue, and NOBODY can be reached for a refund! Honestly, I don't think they have a real customer service department. My only recourse now is to file a fraud claim with my bank and have the charge reversed. I will never do business with them again, and I will warn everyone I know not to do business with them.
I placed my order and paid for it on 9/25/23. I have emailed them 4 times, they responded 2 times with the same thing, your order has shipped. I tracked the order and it is in Chinese so I can't read most of it, some of it is in English and tells me where the order is and the date, it says it's in my town and has been since the 18th but I have not received it. I emailed and told them to refund my money but they have not emailed me back.

I ordered the nasa astronaut helmet yesterday and am unable to see my order history and shipping status. I recieved a receipt by email, but when I signed in to my account and went to find the status, it said that I had not ordered anything. I would like this issue remedied please. Placed an order online called with a few hours to cancel said order due to having the item at the store with free shipping instead of the 50 bucks they were charging was told my order was canceled instead they still shipped it can only return in store till the 23rd oh but wait it won't be here in time imagine that so I have to pay to ship it back and will not be refunded for any of the shipping payed either way so I am out well over 100 dollars either way I will never ever ever recommend there website ever

I ordered my child's costume on the 18th and got two days shipping on it. It is now the 26th and still not here. The lady I called was rude. I demanded a refund on the shipping cost and a rude manager finally gave it to me. Who advertises two day shipping then takes a week+. This would've never happened at party city. Will not be ordering here again.

When I placed my order I on October 25, I was told on line that it would be delivered by October 29. Well it wasn't and the night before Halloween we began to panick. I called the "so called" customer service number and was on hold for an hour, and then received an automated message that " I should try to call back later". Customer service also sent an automated message suggesting an online chat, which was non- existent. There was also a link for email help, which led to a postal address! I have never seen such an unprofessional company that puts so much effort into giving off the appearance of looking legitimate. They are so far from honest and legitimate. I will never make the mistake of ordering online from them again. Spread the word please!
I bought a costume for my daughter on the 27th of this month (late, I know). She loves the costume, it fits her well, but the costume is damaged. I brought it in today to try to swap it for the exact same costume, same size, same everything and they refused to even look at the defects in the store. I think that it is a little outrageous that I paid 60 dollars for a costume just for it to be damaged. All I wanted was a simple swap and you wouldn't have lost a customer, but sadly it appears that they don't actually care about what quality product their customers get.
Bought a costume for Halloween, and when I opened it, to wear for my party, there were pieces missing, and pieces from other costumes. I paid $50 for this costume, that I couldn't wear. When I contacted the company, they asked me for pictures, which I provided. Then they informed me that I would have to pay to ship the incomplete costume back to them, and they could only issue store credit, and asked for a receipt. When I told them I no longer had the receipt, they ceased responding to my emails. Once I made a complaint about it publicly, on their Facebook page, they responded to my email, and still refuse to make this right. Do NOT buy a costume from this company!
I got a pig mask for my son. When I got it from delievery which took very long.
I experienced the mask beying really cheap so i decided to go to the store and get my money back. They said thre not giving money back but you can get another cheap product from thir store wth the same value.
