I am sending this message because even if nothing comes of it, I hope no one ever has to go through the horrible experience that I had with your business.
1. The sales person, Chris, who convinced me to contract with your company said they would be available for questions and to assist through the process. This was a lie. After I paid the deposit, they did not answer or return any of my calls.
2. When I called customer service for help, you either did not answer or I talked to someone who did not address the issues I was having with the movers.
3. You contracted out to a company without informing me that you were not the actual movers. You sent people to my house who held my property until I paid over $1000 more than was agreed upon.
4. The mover who came said they worked for a company called Logistic Movers and that the money I paid you for a deposit did not count towards my price. If this was not true, you offered me no support when I called to ask about this.
4. The movers charged me $375 to crate my television without telling me and then my television was returned with only a blanket around it and completely cracked and broken.
5. My furniture was not reassembled upon return as promised in your contract and the screws to my bed are missing.
6. I did not receive any of the updates or phone calls that you promise regarding my delivery and the dates kept changing with no prior notification. At more than one point, I thought I had been scammed and my belongings had been stolen.
You promise a service that you don't deliver. Your customer service is Bahamian non-existent and the way you contract out to unethical businesses and leave the customer with no support is also unethical. I pray that no one has to go through the experience that I have had to go through with your company. It's just not right.
Everyone I talked to was fantastic in my opinion. The pickup crew was really nice and helpful. Our couriers were prompt, polite, and efficient.
I am so glad that we had a team here on moving day. I don't think I could have done that myself. I called Southern and they took care of the rest.
If there was a zero star rating, they would be a negative 100. Today, I registered a complaint with the Department of Transportation/Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, Florida State Attorney's Office, Texas State Attorney's Office, Maryland State Attorney's Office, and Crockett National Bank. They are officially being investigated by all of the above. They have broken approximately 30 federal laws and I don't know how many state and local laws. We had an unmarked truck with fake TX temporary tags affixed over permanent metal plates. Where I don't know since we didn't look under the fake plates. They represented themselves as an agent for Allied Moving Vans but sent a truck from a moving company that doesn't even operate in TX. If you look at their webpage "about us", there is no mention of them being a broker unless you look at the very bottom of the page where it's neatly hidden with contact information, etc. Fortunately, we didn't let the movers take our belongings. We even had a friend who is a former Green Beret show up and lay down his pistol on our kitchen table to give the driver a message. Apparently, those who serve in the military are subject to being defrauded by these companies on a regular basis. They even withdrew money ACH from my checking account a couple of hours after I fired them. It was a deposit for an item not even listed on their inventory of my house belongings. I could go on and on about the many misrepresentations by the company, but trust me when I state that they are going down, criminal charges will occur, and they will be shut down. There is no way possible that this company can survive after I'm done with them. They messed with the wrong person and one that has connections. Once again, the aforementioned are just a sampling of the many improprieties for which Southern Guarantee Moving will have to answer for in a court of law. If you are going to be a thief, be a good one and know what you are doing. They are so arrogant they have no clue what's coming their way.
Scam. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They will tell you whatever you want to hear and will outright lie to get you to sign up. They are a broker, not a moving company. They will quote you the lowest price possible, then take a non-refundable deposit. This money is their brokerage fee, not to pay the moving company. Despite telling you the exact opposite, the actual contract you sign basically says that they don't know when you'll get picked up, they don't know if the moving company will do it for the price quoted, and they don't know when you'll get your stuff delivered. We had a pick up window of 7/29-7/31. We called every day and were told they were definitely arriving the next day. No call, no show each day. By 8/1 we had to make other arrangements to move from Texas to Florida. As of 8/11, we have still had no contact from Southern Guarantee, and we are out $4200. If they have done this to you, file a complaint with the BBB and the FMCSA. If you want to file a claim in court, it has to be filed with the Broward County Clerk of Courts, and the resident agent to be named is Bethany Cook. It will likely do no good, but the more complaints there are on record, the less likely it is that someone else will get scammed.
Class action lawsuit pending! If you're interested in being a part of the suit, let me know! It will be based on FRAUD, misrepresentation and more!
My story is no different than all the other complaints. Stole my money and belongings
Company will not return my calls
I got a quote for a long distance move from FL to TN. I called Southern Guarantee Moving & Storage. I was given a quote which is not the actual cost for services I was getting. The quote from Southern Guarantee Moving was just an expensive fee for them to charge me before transferring me off to another company (subcontractor) that did the actual move. Well not the actual move. The middle man Handle with Care Co. Added their quote to the list of quotes and hired individual men to pick up my belongings which tried to add $850 to the quote for gratuity and added another $1,000 on top of the quote from Southern Guarantee Moving. Then for three days I didn't know where my belongings where until finally I was called and told they have a truck to put my things on and deliver them in 1-2 days. Then another two individual men made the long distance trip to deliver which I was ask to pay another generous gratuity at the request of the two men because Eli at Handle with Care told them I would pay them a generous gratuity :/ I don't believe the company Handle with Care is responsible for paying their workers. At least they don't appear to be. They rely on their customers to pay their workers on top of paying for their very expensive services. I would never recommend anyone to choose Southern Guarantee Moving company or Handle with Care Movers to move my belongings long distance ever again. If you don't want a huge headache and to end up broke and not knowing when your belongings will arrive at the destination then I would advise not to use either of these companies to move your things. Do your homework before committing and don't sign a quote with either of these companies because a quote doesn't mean anything to them. It will change that is the only thing guaranteed.
Professional, hardworking, sincere, and quick. Very fair with their service and cost-wise competitive. Recommended!
These guys are GOOD! They are hardworking, accommodating, AND pleasant to work with. Highly recommended.
The movers were helpful and handled everything with love and respect. I am so happy with them. Thank you! I would recommend them to others.
Southern Guarantee Moving and Storage were excellent. They were swift and efficient and could get the job done in two hours!
Very helpful and reliable. Went above and beyond to help. Can't say enough about them. I will refer them to all!
The crews on pickup and delivery were professional and hardworking. I can't imagine a better moving experience. I owe you a big thank you.
When we first called these people about a move from Iowa to Alabama, we were first told our price would be about 10,000 dollars. When we got our second estimate it went to 14,000 dollars. Me and my wife at the the time thought that was alot but we had alot to move, so we agreed. The first day they showed up we were told that we had so much that they would need a semi truck to move it all, which they did not have available at the time, and because of that the price tripled to 36,000 dollars. They were not able to move all of our belongings for almost a full month. After they picked up the second load of our property which was on 0/3/27/2022 we were told our property would be delivered on Wednesday 03/30/2022. It was delivered CLOSE to our property. The truck driver refused to drive down the road to our house, told us that it would cost us an additional 8,000 dollars for them to bring in additional trucks to move everything in. My wife had to hire ADDITIONAL movers to get the job done. That was another 6,000 dollars! And on top of that, there was alot of our property that was damaged beyond repair, and some of my wife's jewelry is missing and there are other things we can't account for. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND DESTROY YOUR PROPERTY.
Southern Guarantee did a great job coordinating our move. From start to finish, we had very good service.
I hate moving! But we moved for a new job and Southern Guarantee got us there just as they said. Nice people, on time, good service.
I got an original quote and from the beginning everyone was hard to reach. These guys are just brokers and promise the world. As another customer stated, I was handed over to master moving and storage out of Oxnard California. My move was from Reno Nevada to Fontana California. The guy called me two days early telling me that he was in the area and wanted to pick up my stuff. I told him he couldn't do it because we weren't ready and he basically told me that If he couldn't pick up on that day…. He wouldn't be coming another day I finally got them to come out on the day they were supposed to get there and it was kind of shady from the beginning. No credit cards were accepted, you had to do everything with cash or through Zelle. They were quick to tell me that my cubic footage had been exceeded and I needed to pay an extra $1500. Well at that point I didn't have a choice but to give it to them because I had to move my entire house to another state. The day they delivered my belongings, my sons brand new $400 desk was damaged having a hole in the center of it, the helpers dropped three boxes full of dishes in front of me and the foreman said don't worry about it you can write a claim and you'll get your money for it. One of my lamps came broken with the sconces missing. After almost $900 in damages all they gave me was $100 because they got out on a technicality telling me if you didn't read the fine print you would've known that we only pay $. 69 per pound for boxes damaged. If the public knew this, they wouldn't have any business but like I said southern guarantee are a bunch of brokers which basically tell you what you wanna hear to get your business. Totally unreliable, totally misleading and a bunch of liars and thieves along with the company they hired to move me which is master moving Inc. out of Oxnard California
