“Worth experience ever”

I had the worst ever experience in booking a flight with Southall travels. The agent who handled me did not understand me and kept going for 2 hours. After a frustrating conversation of close to 2-2.5 hours I booked the tickets to get it done with only to find that the tickets are way cheaper in the airline site. Don't ever use southall travels

Very poor service, dodgy deals and false commitments. When it comes to refund... it is a nightmare. Soon after booking confirmation they start changing the flights dates & timing. Too difficult to get hold of someone on phone. Their phone are most of time on auto repliers. Their flexible ticket means if you refund you will have to pay £200 per ticket. My refund dispute is pending for the last four months Please keep away from this fraud company.

They kind of locked customers, They charged me a lot of money, nearly I paid £1000 extra compare to other travels, I requested to cancel my flight, They said need to pay £300 for cancellation, They request £1080 for deposit, really bad customer service, I request many time need to speak manger, keep saying, we have requested, no one call, two multiple trip to SriLanka charge £3555 and I did date changed they charged additional £150

Hi, I am currently taking Southall to court because I claim to have been misrepresented by the sales person who sold me two business class tickets on the 11 th Oct 2019.
What they did, nt explain to me was that there a three different types of business class ticket through Oman Air (Lite) normal and prime.
I have asked for a transcript of the booking, but so far they have not sent it even though their Solicitors claims that it does exist.
I will report back if litigation takes place in a small claims court and I give full details.

Tip for consumers:
Ask for an email first confirming the verbal agreement .

Extremely unprofessional people, They will give you good rates, have your monies then refuse to honor their own rates & ask you to pay more closer to the date, then if you ask them for refunds, you will have to do 100s of followups, most of the time they will not take your calls or reply to your email. My friend has also gone through equally bad experience with them, I am still struggling with them from 2 months, Don't fall in trap of theirs. Look for better agencies then them

Booked flights which were cancelled due to PIA being suspended. Southall made no communication regarding the cancellation or the refund. I have had to call them to get updates. They have had my refund for over a week now and have not bothered contacting me. They have advised 14 days to process refund when I contacted them. I have used them a few times. You don't know how good a company is till there is an issue. I will definitely not be using southall again.

This Company does not in any way honour it's mantra.
Although their invoice states a ' date for any balance to be cleared by ', they constantly send rude and threatening emails insisting that you pay before the due by date.
AVOID THEM.!

Very rude service once you have paid your deposit and you can't get out of the booking without losing your deposit.
Over priced and should have done research and listened to others before booking.
Once paid, no after sales courtesy calls to wish you a good trip etc. Very unprofessional staff all based out of the UK ( the one who dealt with us) and pressuring.
Learnt a massive lesson, not to book with them ever again.
Would have thought under the circumstances going on in the world, you would expect extra courteous service especially when you spending a lot of money.

Scamming agency- DO NOT USE. They refuse to refund the money for a cancelled flight inspite of airlines saying they have refunded more than a month ago. We have also found out that they lie in their website about being register with ABTA for dispute resolution. This agency SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE! AVOID at all cost! No point in contacting the customer service either!

I have used this company several times and always had great service. I am not sure whether they are based abroad or not but it doesn't matter. Prices on website aren't always up to date but they do the best for you and I have done a bit of bargaining with them as well. Had to canx then rebook last time and most helpful. Do find you have to remind them to email your e ticket. I always try and use this company for Indian flights.

Southall travel,,,firstly they also known as travel trolley,,,they always quote u high price n convince its the best option,,sell tickets on free date change base which never happens,,,they copy paste airline terms n conditions then simply put everything on airline,,,,i been scammed more then 600 pounds by southall travel,,,avoid them at any cost if u care about hard earned money pay few quids extra n book direct with airline least u ll ve a backup,,am gonna report them to atol,cab,,consumer forum where ever i can jus waitung to get back.

Very poor service this time.
The agent didn't offer the best match flight (which I searched and advised about). Thereafter, not the best price matched. When I asked for a price match similar to the airline website, I was advised that the price wasn't at the same terms- which eventually I found out it was same terms and conditions. Moreso, I was asked to make payment quickly or the tickets would be released?
Very misguiding service, I wouldn't recommend the agent at all.

I writing to provide feedback on my recent booking. Based on the poor customer service provided by our Southall Travel representative ( H)
This holiday was for two females, my daughter and myself, travelling alone to India for the first time. H was informed safety and convenience were paramount and the key reason we used what we thought at the time a reputable, and experienced holiday provider. The level of service provided by him throughout our holiday was poor. We received no information regarding visas, assurances that did not materialise and there was a failure to respond to calls and emails once the holiday had been paid.

Tourism from the UK to India has decreased, partly due to a change from e-visas to physical visas. This information is known in the Indian tourism industry but difficult to find online in the UK ( we have screen shots). A cursory check on the internet says that uk citizens can apply for e- visa to travel to India. This is not true. H failed to inform us of this change and it was only due our own research that we discovered this essential documentation was necessary. H negligence led to an additional cost of £300, which was not anticipated or welcome in our limited budget. It was also an inconvenience and cost for my daughter, a doctor, to take time off work to physically attend the visa office in London.

When we arrived in India, further problems occurred. H was aware we would land in Delhi at 04:50, and we had requested an early check-in. This did not happen. After travelling continuously for over 13 hours, exhausted, hotel staff informed us that we would have to pay an additional charge of £50 for early check-in. We were later told that the Southall Travel representative who met us at the airport, should have personally checked us into the hotel and checked us out. This did not happen; instead, he left us in the taxi before we reached the hotel to go to his home. I would recommend this level of service be addressed to ensure other customers are not abandoned.

Incidentally, I left a jacket on our house boat in Alleppey, entirely my own fault. The manager at our Kovalam Hotel helpfully phoned the houseboat, spoke to the houseboat's wife and tried to arrange for a driver to bring it to our hotel. In comparison, the Southall Indian agent just gave us the phone number and said no one had answered it.

For the rest of our holiday, Southall Travel representatives were present for check-in and check-out, in the Golden Triangle itinerary.

During the trip, we had two drivers for the Golden Triangle and for Kerala. Notably, Ashish Gandhi, our driver for the Golden Triangle went above and beyond to make our holiday special and we cannot praise him enough. Unfortunately I can't say positive things about our Kerala driver he was a dubious character but after our complaint the company did say they no longer employ him.

I returned to London Heathrow separately to my daughter on a 21:45 flight. In spite of numerous conversations with H regarding my late departure and the need for a late check-out, the hotel in Kovalam did not have this information. H had verbally agreed to arranged this but a written confirmation we asked for did not materialise, he had clearly not complete this task.

We understand the hotels cannot commit themselves because of availability but they were unaware of any request because H had not done what we had asked.

The unprofessional service provided by H and other staff led to unnecessary anxiety and dampened our experience of what should have been an once in a lifetime holiday. We would suggest Southall Travel address these issues with a matter of urgency should you want continued business from their existing customers and recommendations for future clients. We I am afraid cannot recommend them.
Since complaining to the company, they of course quote the small print regarding visas, but our point is this was a package holiday and the sales representative had a duty of care to their customer to advise and inform. Unfortunately they were more interested in their sales commission and not in customer satisfaction. Also after complaining the help desk representative stated the hotels were informed about our checking in and checking out, this was untrue and contrary to what they stated before in previous emails.

Tip for consumers:
Do not trust the travel representative.
Once they receive payment they do not respond or help.
They are more interested in their sales commission then customer satisfaction.

Me and friends spend over £1500 to go to Australia before Covid and as Covid is an act of god we have only been offered £114 back they care nothing for you don't trust these opportunist scammers.

They took my money and provided a fake ticket my sister and two children traveled to get flight but British airways says no booking. There business should removed

I rang the company today to ask where my refund was the agent made me give all bank details address ect and did not process a refund tried to take £2586 out of my acc, reported to the police beware

Do yourselves a favour and do not book with these scammers. I paid extra to able to make one change to my booking but when I tried to do this on my return flight they wanted a extra amount of over £135. When I asked why there was a charge when I had already paid for this facility, I was told the charge was made by the airline and they were just passing it on to me. I phoned the airline about this and the airline told me this was a charge made by Southall Travels and this amount was not being paid to the airline. I made several complaints about this but despite promises no one bothered to call me back.

I am giving lowest rating 1 as there are no 0.
I booked a ticket for my family from london to Delhi. Given initial advance 800 gbp and they told to change date free of cost. I got Covid positive so could not travel. I asked for date change, they made too many arguments and did not do. I even copied their management in emails. But no help, they stole my 800 pound. They must be having insurance and received full amount from airlines. They do fraud. Never ever go with Southhall travel. Many of my colleagues got same treatment. Worst experience. This happened on 12th Dec 2021. Invoice Number as requested- *******
I have written to ABTA but Southall say, they are now no more member of ABTA. In my first review they reply that someone will call, they never call and I see for every review they reply like this. Please be aware, this is false just to show on this platform that customers will be contacted. I have given my invoice number too. Never trust these guys. Government must take some legal action against this travel agency. They are cheating and stealing money. They say that reviews are always positive and negative, we do not bother. Pathetic people and agency really!

Decided to book a holiday to Dubai at midnight and instead of booking directly on Emirates website we thought we'd call Southall Travel, knowing they'd be open. Wish we hadn't! We booked for 2 adults, a 12 year old and 5 year old. A 12 year old is classed as an adult, but when we went to check in, Emirates website said our eldest was booked on a child ticket. We called Southall Travel who assured us that our 12 year old was booked on a "youth" ticket and would be fine to travel. We called Emirates to check as we didn't want any problems at the airport. Emirates told us there is no such thing as a "youth" ticket and that Southall Travel would need to reissue the ticket as an adult ticket. Southall Travel wouldn't reissue the ticket so we asked them to send us an email to confirm that we wouldn't have any problems at the desk. We then spoke to a friend of ours who works for Emirates and she also said she'd never heard of a youth ticket before. We called ST again and asked them to reissue the ticket. After a few phonecalls, they did and we travelled to Dubai with no issues. However, we had the same issue on our return journey. This time, we managed to check in online fine, but when we went to check in at the desk, Emirates said the same thing, that our 12 year old had been issued a child ticket and not an adult ticket. They then asked us to go to the ticket desk at Dubai airport and speak with our travel agent. Again, after many phonecalls, no luck with ST. The man at the desk got fed up and said put the phone down I will issue you an adult ticket myself!

Long story short, don't trust Southall Travel to book you a ticket for a 12-15 year old - as they class this as a "youth" ticket - when there is no such thing. What should have been a straight forward trip to Dubai, became a stressful experience - with many unnecessary phone calls between ST and Emirates, and also a 12 year old who thought we may not be able to travel! I definitely won't be using Southall Travel again and won't recommend it either. All of the travel consultants we spoke to were arrogant, patronising and unhelpful.
I write this review so that other parents aren't faced with a similar situation.

Their CEO has a website for complaints mbut when one does he ignores the review.
I think that they have got so big giv8ng previous good service and they are not interested in customer care anymore.

I am angry I am hurt by southal travel treatment I was coustomer since 2012
My email was hacked so I created different e mail, by the time my phone contract was finished so I took different phone number it wasn't any other matters with change e mail and change phones I changed the address
Iused to buy tickets and travel same name same everything
Now I needed my 5 years travel history for official reason and called them in between seven days I spoke to 10 agents of southal travel I have e mail customer care but they didn't back me for neither call or email there was no luck what's so ever.
I decided to talk to the manager one person came phone he introduced himself as manager called Reymond at first he seems genuinely want solve my problems he crossed check my previous number my previous address it was fine I was talking to him in Friday and promise me that he will give me by Monday.
When Monday came he didn't call or email me again I called him and find out he was changed person data protection act he can't give it to me again I did offer him that any sort of documents driving license or passport which I always travel theare tickets I was so politely request them no luck I am amezed that the data they are talking about that's my data I am ready to verify even in court

They are very unhelpful unprofessional I am very sad thire treatment

Rubbish travel agent
I booked tickets to travel to India via jet airways which failed while i was in India
I contacted them and travel agent instead of helping started selling me tickets - return for £1700 pounds per person - Some of my friends bought it.
I purchased new tickets to fly back and now I am claiming money via credit card chargeback scheme and this crooks are preventing them
They are not ATOL protected and they sell tickets for airlines that is not ATOL protected too. So providing wrong information to customers
Customer service remains poor and they do not have complaint procedure/policy or department.
I have serious concerned about this travel agent. I am in process of reporting them for fraud.

They advertise prices on various websites at mega low levels. When you call to book those... they are just NEVER EVER available. The once again foreign call centre cannot offer any positive or constructive advice. All they can do is and very well may I add... is to aggravate the situation and yourself! They may offer a date about 6 months away from the date you want to travel in order to say that the lowest lowest fare is available!. Be aware and they give NO REFUNDS though they get the money back from the airlines.
