Exceedingly disappointed in Sorel's purported Customer Service. I broke my foot immediately prior to receipt of Order number ******* and have only recently recovered to the point where I could try on the boot. Upon doing so, I see they do not fit right. I contacted Customer Support and advised of the extenuating circumstances, they refused to make an exception to their 60 day return window. I spoke with a supervisor who had the idiocy to suggest that she could provide a pre-paid return label, however the warehouse would reject the return upon receipt. (How's that for efficacy?) This lack of courtesy was following the pleasure of being on hold for 23 minutes. Sorely dissatisfied with this sad excuse for customer care.
Granted, it doesn't snow often in Portland OR. But just in case, I've had a pair of Sorels tucked in my heated, dry garage for years. I've worn them maybe 10 times.
It snowed last night. I started to put on my Sorels, and large chunks of the outer rubber broke off on both boots, and on one, the stitching completely came apart on one side.
I know they're too old for a warranty claim, but they were fairly expensive when new. Given the lack of wear and the care with which they were stored, there's no excuse for this.
I ordered a pair of Sorel boots that arrived scratched, so I decided to return them. Despite the fact that the shoes were damaged, I had to pay for return shipping. In addition, because Sorel didn't package them appropriately, I ALSO had to buy another box to return them. Good luck trying to get a hold of someone in customer service. Wait times are over an hour. Needless to say I will not be purchasing anything from them ever again!
I ordered a pair of boots for our Canadian winter and while I did shop around, I ended up with SOREL because of their reputation for quality and because of the overwhelming number of 4 and 5 star (verifiable purchases) on Amazon.
I found the style and price I wanted and a little more than 48 hrs later, the delivery man was knocking on my door. I understand that the company is now owned by an American firm. Hard to know what effect this might have. Right now I have nothing but good to say about transaction. Boots haven't been tested but they sure seem well made.
Boots are in prefect condition still, I love the boot but can't ware them because of the liner, the leather rubs on my heals, is there away I could get a new liner, or fixed some how. I have asked different shoe repair places and said they could not repair, and I have no reciept.
Ordered my first Sorel shoes 3 days ago, got them today on the 3rd day. Very happy with it, love them. I read reviews after placing my order and got a bit scared to encounter problems but to be honest in my case everything went smoothly.
I order a pair of boots Emelie - short lace. Fantastic material and design, and to be honest the is very comfy. BUT! After less than a month inside thought starts to falling apart - they should work more on these things such as material.
I contact CS, send pictures of the damage and they offer me to collect shoes and refund the money. I order another pair of a different model. Warranty on these is 2 years - so any problem contact them and they have to refund you money. This is way too expansive shoes to have issues like that...
They gave me 10% discount on my next online shopping ( its not a lot but at least its something)

They are very comfortable, and warm at first. Every year I need a new one. The soles wear out very fast; maybe because I wear them every day for the winter. They are very stylish looking. You will get loads of compliments and stares... I almost broke my neck a few times because the soles were worry down, so they became very slippery on ice. One I returned, as it only lasted 3 months because it was defective. This year I bought a different brand of boots. No more Sorels for now. They are costly, but, cannot stand the winter months.

I love the way my Sorel boots look that I bought about a month ago to get me through the winter. It's only November now and they are already falling apart. I am worried they won't even last until spring. Other brands can last me multiple years, this is disappointing for the price I paid.
I like their comfortable shoes, however shopping online for shoes isn't an easy task especially some Sorel shoes reviews says run smaller or larger than actual size... it was my case! They were bigger than what I expected so needed to exchange them when I got the return label via email, I noticed that they were charging me $6 for the shipping! Their shoes aren't cheap! I couldn't believe they don't provide free exchange or return! So I'm spending hundreds of dollars and was willing to shop more but they totally lost me at $6 shipping. Sometimes it's a small things that turn me off!
My package was stolen off of my porch but according to ups, they keep saying it was delivered! I think it's ridiculous that you have to wait several weeks while they go through an investigation but the least they could do is give a store credit in the mean time. I really wanted the boots I ordered but never imagined this would happen so unfortunately I will not be ordering from them in the near future or referring them to anyone!
The boots I purchased fell apart with in 3 months; defective! I sent them back to their warranty department; they said they were unable to fix them. They are issuing me a e-gift card they I have to spend with them, for another pair of worthless boots. AND they didn't refund me the $14.00 taxes I paid or the $14.50 I spent on returning their defective product! DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WITH SOREL CROOKS!
Ordered slippers on 11/30, for christmas gift, the latest update is that i might receive them on 12/28. But they haven't shipped yet. Forget about calling customer service as the wait time starts at 120 minutes... so i put it on speaker and the wait time goes up to 140 minutes over the next 45 minutes. Also chat doesn't even work. It just says, we are busy so you'll have to call. The worst customer experience ever.
I wear a size 10 in everything. Dress, work, rain shoes/boots. I ordered size 10 too small. Ordered size 11 still to small. The website says size is true to fit. WRONG. Then they deducted the shipping from my refund. How unprofessional. It's not my fault their shoes run 2 sizes smaller. I'm returning them and going somewhere else. Truly disappointed.
Ordered a pair of shoes online before traveling abroad. I submitted the order 11 days before my flight, (While ordering, it was promised to deliver the item in 4 to 7 days). Calling the customer service is a nightmare, it took an hour to connect when the estimated time kept being 6 minutes! They told me to contact LaserShip to see where my package was! Although it wasn't my responsibility, I did, no one responded!
The shoes were delivered after 2 weeks! I asked a friend to pick them up so that when I was back, I could return them.
I returned the item and it took them more than 17 working days to refund me (while they say 7-10 working days to refund you, which is still a long time compared to others). I had to contact them two times, so they finally refunded me. They also deducted the return shipping cost, when it was their fault.
It seems like they don't care about customer satisfaction at all! The slowest, worst business that I have dealt with.
Sorels look nice and rugged. However... The quality of workmanship is terrible. My top of the line snow boots ($250+) fell apart on the same day, like magic. The plastic soles on both feet cracked, and the upper seam which appeared to be sown is actually just cheaply glued. Of course they are made in China, home of the cheap fake goods. There are so many other quality made boots you should buy before wasting money on Sorels
Purchased a pair of Sorel winter boots last spring (2018) on sale but still a good some of money. They lasted one year and have already crack and thus no longer water proof. Very disappointed since the previous pair of Sorels lasted 30 years. I have to give their new products a fail.
The only way to get through is calling and the wait times were over 3 hours, you cannot email them when you have an issue with an order. For expense boots the customer service is terrible. They also will not give you a price guarantee when a boot you just purchased goes on sale, they won't match their own sale price.
Placed an order in early Dec. And I am still waiting for my order. The order was apparently coming from China (according to tracking number) and it did track to my home town, but what I received was a cheap bracelet HUH? Not exactly the boots I paid for. Can't connect with the company online. One big SCAM.
