I purchased the Microsoft Office 2013 Home and Student online from Software king.
They sent me the email with the product key and information how to download.
It is not working, my expired Microsoft office program asking me to write the product key for activation but it doesn't matter how many times I type it in it still asking me the same thing.
I tried to called them but off course there is no real costumer service. It is a big scam.
Now I have to buy another one. Do not buy from them! I gave them 1 star because this is the only option to write a review.
Recently needed to redownload software after having work done
It would not redownload
Microsoft Support told me it was blocked as because it was pirated software
Software King has been non responsive in addressing the problem
BEWARE. After purchase I got an e-mail stating they were all out of Key Codes! Two days later I got a code by email. I downloaded the program and now I get error messages when I try to use it. Tried to uninstall program but cannot. Geek Squad here I come. AND off to bank to get charges reversed against my cc. THIS IS A SCAM
I purchased a downloadable version of Microsoft word and was supposed to recieve a code by email, it has been over 4 hours and I have sent several emails and have not gotten a response, i have never been the recipient of such lousy service, and will make sure that I let people know what this website is about.
Downloaded it and installed Office 2010. It was not Office 365 and was supposed to work forever, but at one year it quit. I spent 3 nights on the phone with MS support but they couldn't get it to work. Waste of time and money,
I bought Microsoft Office 2010 from Software King on March 21,2013. It has worked fine for almost 3 years, and this morning it has been deactivated by Microsoft because the Product Key has been used more than 5 times... WHAT?
Hours of time wasted trying to get help from Microsoft, to no avail.
Software King must have been reselling the same product key to other buyers!
RUN, RUN, RUN!
Purchased 5 copies of Windows 7 from SoftwareKing, downloaded once and created my USB which I managed to use to wipe Windows 10 and load 7 on all 5 PC's in my Office. Plugged in the 5 product keys they supplied me to activate with Microsoft and I was in business. Thanks so much.
I've never had a problem with purchasing and receiving software from SoftwareKing. I've ordered from them twice and will continue to order from them. They have legitimate product keys that work.
I had to order Windows 7 when it wasn't available in the stores anymore. Then I decided to purchase 8.1. The prices are lower than what I'd find in the stores and the download links were provided quickly. There was no long wait.
But Microsoft wouldn't let me with my original license key so I purchased a new one from these guys and used it to activate what I had running on the PC as it said 'unlicensed', now my problem is solved and i'm up and running.
No problem with the product and even easier to get it. It took a few hours to get the product(it said it was reviewing my order), but i got it!
Thnx SoftwareKing!
Ran into a couple of issues during the download/install process. Software King responded in a timely manner with solutions that worked. I'd buy again.
Got a great discount and had the product downloaded within a couple of minutes of ordering, small issue with checkout but that was me fat fingering my credit card number! Thanks SoftwareKing!
The VISIO 2010 copy I purchased for 1/4 the MS price does not work with Office. It seams that for that money I have bought just VISIO, and nothing else. It reinstalls every time I run it, MS Office does not recognize it and no help files are available. I tried registry fixes found online, reinstallation and Software King technical support which was no help. Beware of what you are getting as this is not a "working" program across all MS products. No refund if you buy downloaded software. Not happy, but I got what I paid for. If I would have known I would not have purchased it. I will not be buying another other of their "products".
I ordered Office 2013 online from them, provided my debit card number, and was told my order was being processed. Then I received an email saying I could not download it right away because my order was being "reviewed." They said if I really needed it right away to let them know and they would "help." This, after the bank had already paid them! After about three hours I began to worry and wrote to let them know I did want it right away, and to as what they meant by "reviewing" my order. This was all yesterday. Tonight I received a message with the subject "Your order has been rejected." It went on to explain that they have very strict "fraud" standards and I did not pass them. Then another email about how they have processed my refund but it may take a couple of days for the bank to process it. I am speechless. They did not mention anything about a "review" before accepting my money. Wish I had read these other reviews before trying to do business with them. Why are they still in business? This is apparently a Canadian company, and I always thought Canadians were supposed to be 'nice." If I don't get my money back in a couple of days or sooner I will not be nice. I have been both inconvenienced and insulted.
All at a good price. I like the instant delivery that they offer, I needed the license right away to convert a Microsoft Office trial. Thanks!
Had a few simple questions which support helped me out with, ordered and had the software operational within 20 minutes, not bad! Best price I found which had live support.
Got my license right away and had my Windows 7 back up and running in no time - was very impressed with the price and the entirely smooth checkout process!
Office and an antivirus, good prices on both and i was up and running with minutes of ordering. Very pleased.
I have ordered from them before and had very good service with no issues until recently. They must have some horrible employees or managers to let the company go down this fast.
I bought an older version of Microsoft Office from Software King who sent me a used product key that could not be activated. When I reported it to them all I got was a bunch of lies that the key was valid. I told them when I tried to activate the software, I received an error message that it had been installed too many times.
Software King's only solution was that I had to activate it using the phone and I told them if this was a new product key and I should not have to do that. That is only done if you transfer the software to a different computer. I've done that before so I know how it works.
Their response was that I must have it installed on more than one computer. Yeah right. I can't even get it installed and activated on one computer so how am I going to install it on another. They'll say anything to cover their asses.
I just discovered Microsoft is suing Software King for selling counterfeit software with bad keys. I'm glad I reported it to them and hope others will too and not just post on these boards. The only way to get action is to report it.

I hope Microsoft burns their $#*!. I'll be on the sidelines cheering them on.

Hey Julie,
Thanks for your message. I can assure you the 48-72 hour hold on your card is something the banking industry collectively does. Info herein - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Authorization_hold. I quote from this article "Authorization hold (also card authorization, preauthorization, or preauth) is the practice within the banking industry of authorizing electronic transactions done with a debit card or credit card and holding this balance as unavailable either until the merchant clears the transaction (also called settlement), or the hold "falls off." In the case of debit cards, authorization holds can fall off the account (thus rendering the balance available again) anywhere from 1–5 days after the transaction date depending on the bank's policy; in the case of credit cards, holds may last as long as 30 days, depending on the issuing bank."
