The offered flight was initially confirmed. However, I was later informed there was a problem that would be resolved within an hour. About 24 hours later, I received a call informing the ticket was not available. I was offered a new ticket on the same flight at a higher price than if I booked directly with the airline (which I ultimately did). Employed high pressure sales tactics that appeared to be less than honest

Booked trip online and proceeded to make payment. Payment was declined. Called the agent to query and was told it was due to price change of over usd700 compared to online fare. I checked same fare with Airline direct and fare was usd700 cheaper! Lol. Paid Airline direct for exactly same trip usd700 cheaper than I tried to pay online. Unsuspecting and less savvy customer would have been cheated.
My concern is that my baggage allowance is not specifically stated in my ticket which may give me problems on my flights

Tuve una experiencia terrible con SmartFares. Me ofrecieron una tarifa de 808 euros, pero al revisar mi cuenta, me descontaron 871 euros, ¡y nunca realizó la reserva! Intenté comunicarme con su servicio al cliente en Múltiples ocasiones para solucionar el problema, pero fui tratado de manera grosera, me colgaban en el teléfono varias veces y no me dio ninguna respuesta clara.
Después de insistir, lograron enviarme un correo donde solo reconocieron un cobro de 880 dólares, cuando en realidad me cobraron 871 euros, lo que representa una diferencia importante. Esto es una estafa en toda regla.
Si están pensando en reservar con ellos, ¡NO LO HAGAN! Eviten pasar por esta mala experiencia y busquen opciones más confiables. Yo, por mi parte, tomaré acciones legales en España contra esta empresa.

Smart fares got better price than the other
They will not book what you ordered and will not inform you of the difference. When I tried to book online the payment didn't go through, they called up to tell me that the price had changed, and it would cost $26 more. Thinking nothing of a $26 increase, I said no problem and paid. Now, weeks later, as I'm trying to check in for the flight, I learn the over the phone tickets didn't include the cost of bags which I had originally selected.
Apparently, the "new rate" was actually $326 more than the original ticket price, considering I had already selected $300 more expensive tickets in order to pay for bags. No one told me this and apparently "only the phone reservation was valid" so I'm just out $300. It'll now cost me significantly more than if I had just booked direct.
Terrible company, do not use them.

The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!

Answer: Yes. They stated because of flight increase they canceled my flights. Then they wanted me to pay a balance of what the new increase was. So disappointing. I paid for four fares. They took the funds from the bank n then canceled my flights.
